I have been going to Becky at Evergreen Cottage for over 15 years. I love the Aveda products and Becky has been wonderful taking my long hair to short, helping grow out my short hair to long-always with suggestions to make my difficult hair look fresh and in style. And Grace has been the go-to person for my daughter.-changing her hair color several times -always very professionally. What a wonderful team and a terrific find in Lafayette!

I absolutely love Evergreen Cottage Salon! I am a person with very long, very wavy hair, and to make matters worse, I only cut it about once every 9-12 months. I do not trust anyone by Grace at Evergreen Cottage Salon to properly cut my crazy unruly hair. She is patient, non-judgmental, and provides a cut that will grow in nicely.In addition, Grace is exceptional with both of my daughters, both teenage and elementary age, she treats them as real clients, but always confirmed with me what they wanted, especially when they were younger.Lastly, I want to commend the ownership of Evergreen for the steps they have taken to keep us all save during Covid. They have dividers between chairs and even have the stylists wear face shields in addition to masks when washing hair. That shows a commitment to the safety of clients and their staff.I absolutely recommend Evergreen Cottage Salon and Grace!

I called and asked if any of the stylists were curl specialists, which anyone with curly hair knows is different from a normal stylist. The woman who answered the phone guaranteed me that the stylist she booked me with had plenty of experience with cutting curls. When we went in I asked for a dry cut for the curls, which is also a curly specialist norm. The stylist did not do a dry cut and proceeded to ignore the curl pattern and cut the hair as if it were straight hair. We left with a ruined curl pattern and a ton of frizz. I would not recommend this salon for anyone who has curly hair that wants a curl specialist as they clearly don’t have a trained one at this salon.

So I went to Evergreen Cottage about 2 weeks ago because my hair was feeling/looking dull and had grown way too long. It had been about a year and a half since my last salon appointment so I was definitely overdue and needing some confidence.I like to trust a stylists opinion when it comes to certain looks, because they are licensed professionals and (hopefully) up to date on trends. I wanted just above the shoulder length with like a ombre/painted style fun color as well. I trusted a lot of opinions from my stylist, including keeping the length longer than I wanted and adding layers. Three hours later, the color was a vibrant pink/red and the length was layered past my shoulders. I felt fresh and confident when leaving, even though it didnt look exactly how I imagined.A week later and my color is completely gone.. I dont like how the layers are growing out either. Im very upset because my parents were in town this past week and even my Mom commented on how fast the color disappeared from my hair.I spent lots of money and time here and it doesnt seem like it was worth it. Long story short, Im forever going to be cautious of treating myself because I feel less confident than before.

The Evergreen Cottage is so amazing! I always go and see Grace and she is so wonderful. She always takes her time and makes sure that I love it. Even when I experiment with different hair colors, Grace is always happy to experiment. If we are ever unsure about how the color turned out, Grace is always happy to talk thru what I want and change it. Ive tried going to other hair salons however I always end up spending over $300 for a hair cut that I hate. But at Evergreen the whole team is always happy to take the time to make sure that I absolutely love each hair cut. I highly recommend going to the Evergreen Cottage.

I have been going here for more than 3 years and I love them! Grace takes really great care of me and keeps hot cups of their herbal tea flowing 🙂. Grace is a great stylist and colorist and she always “gets” what I want. She is always ready to listen and is patient. She had me do little changes a few times and I am always blown away with how good she can customize the styles to my face and complexion. They definitely know what they’re doing. It doesn’t hurt that all the products are 95% plant based and just good for you. I love Aveda products and this little salon. With new updated interiors it’s even better! Do give them a try! 💯

Grace is amazing! Everyone here works together to ensure you get the exact hair cut & color that youre looking for! They take time to ensure everyone is on the same page. I have allergies/sensitivities to ingredients, they checked everything to ensure the products were safe to use on my hair. I trust this salon completely, awesome relaxed feel.

I have been seeing Becky for a decade. Every time great color and cut, loves to help me have fun with my hair and a fun, relaxing atmosphere.

They were super nice and tried to accommodate the best that they could but nothing was what I wanted. I got my hair and makeup done. Beforehand, the makeup artist said that she had an airbrush machine but when I got there for my trial she did not bring her equipment. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and it looked nothing like the picture. I kept telling her I wanted a darker, clear cut crease and instead it seemed like she was just doing her own thing.The hair wasnt bad, however I wanted Hollywood waves/finger waves. Before finding this salon, I thought I would have to do them myself so I watched tutorials on how to do them... She did it nothing like how Ive seen them done. She just curled my hair and then brushed out the curls.. Again it wasnt terrible but it wasnt what I wanted and it wasnt anything I couldnt have done better myself.The salon was nice enough to give me half of my money back and the ladies were really nice but not what I was looking for.

I travel out of the area for work and at times have to get my hair done at other salons and not once have I been as happy with my hair as I am when I leave Evergreen cottage. Grace does an amazing job and I have been recommending her to everyone I can. I appreciate the chill atmosphere but more so appreciate the expert skills!

My stylist was a really nice lady and was very sweet but I didnt get what I asked for. I asked for a balayage yet it looks splotchy/unblended and like an outgrown ombre. Hopefully it can get fixed but as of now I feel like I wasted my money ($170) and I am left with hair that doesnt look good. I wouldnt recommend taking your business here but if you do, I would be careful of what services one would pick here.

I love Evergreen Cottage and Spa!! I have been going to Becky for my hair for 13 years and to Van for about 6 years ( Van does the best manicure, pedicure and facials!!) I have been traveling a lot this past year and I have received facials, manicure and pedicure at the places we stayed. They were very good and I enjoyed them but nothing has compared to Evergreen Cottage for me. It is a little, sweet, cottage. It is not fancy but the service and the people are wonderful!!! I hate to complain because the young lady (I was never given her name over the phone or when I arrived) who colored and cut my hair was very professional and polite but I asked for barely a trim and got almost 2 inches cut. I said ‘please just trim’ THREE times as it was that important to me because I’ve been growing out my hair.Also, my highlights were a full (no exaggeration!) inch from my head, which means I had to immediately go to another Aveda salon to get another highlight at the root. I center my hair down the middle but only one side was an inch off. The other side was about a half an inch.Buyer beware!

Ive been to this salon many times. Ashley consistently provides an impeccable mens cut. I require a high standard of perfect lines and no strays, she also does a seamless transition for my beard. Ive recommended many men and women that have had the same experiance.

Honestly, got a hair done not to long ago and I wanted a blonde and I don’t know who the lady was but she gave me bright orange which I was quite unhappy with. Got a trim as well and she did really good but not worth 75 dollars for orange hair. As well as a year ago or two, got highlights and they were honestly horrible, my hair was yellow and didn’t blend in well at all. I’m sorry for the bad review but I just wasn’t happy. Never coming here again.

Very COVID safe salon, they sanitize between all clients and wear face shield ontop of their mask while washing hair, they also have dividers set up between stations to give extra peace of mind.I love this salon! All the stylist are amazing and so talented. This is an Aveda salon so they only use Aveda products which is all plant based and natural which is hard to find elsewhere. The price point is fair and not steep compared to other local shops.I get my hair cut and colored here often, it is always a great experience.There is a massage therapist located here as well, Stephanie with Balance Skin Care Studio is amazing and also very COVID safe (she does facials too.)Dont sleep on this secret gem in Lafayette, call and make an appointment today!
