I joined Formula3 in April 2021, and I am HOOKED. If you are looking for variety and a challenge all under 1 roof, this is the place! If you are unsure, they have a limited time promotion of virtual classes for only $20 a month, which is great if you dont want to pay a hefty commitment price initially like other places!Yoga (Flow Power):If you are looking for yoga where you focus on flexibility, strength, while still breaking a sweat then I’d definitely recommend the classes. All the instructors are very knowledgeable, and caring to all their students. Whenever I ask questions, I feel heard and can tell they have experience teaching and knowledge about the physical body to provide alternate poses or variations. Even though I might break a sweat, I never feel like the classes take away the main focus of yoga which is the constant communication between yourself, your body, and your breathe.Forge (Strength Training):I have never taken strength classes or lifted weights before and Formula3 was my first attempt! If you are looking for a workout in a matter of 35 minutes to an hour I would highly recommend it! As a first timer, I did not feel overwhelmed or unwelcomed by the exercises. I have gradually built up a lot of full body strength, as a result my yoga has improved substantially! I love how the instructors are friendly, attentive, willing to try different exercises, and request feedback from students at the end. I would recommend it to anyone who likes lifting weights, or is looking to build strength.

So glad I found this place!! I live in Martinez but frequently spend time in Walnut Creek and Lafayette. Ive tried cycling classes and Orange Theory but when I found Formula3 on Google, I thought Id give it a try. LOVE LOVE LOVE the FLOW class which is sort of like yoga but even better! Cant wait to kick 2020s rear end!

A welcoming gym offering a diverse set of challenging workouts. Every instructor is kind and informative, dont worry about unfamiliar exercises, they will guide you through and work with any pre-existing conditions. Well priced, as you are getting a gym and yoga-fusion classes under one roof. The facility is always very clean and offers shower facilities and grooming products. My time at Formula3 has been fantastic!

The innovative format for classes at Formula3 has kept me engaged and balanced. I am a cardio junkie often at the expense of the other disciplines. I love that even in a hard fire class I’m still getting in strength training and stretching! I’ve even found a new enjoyment for yoga thanks the the exposure during other class formats. Whatever your style - forge, fire or flow- Formula3 is your place!

I love this place! I prefer high intensity workouts and Formula3s Forge and Fire classes absolutely deliver. I love how their schedule rotates each day so I can ensure Im getting both my strength and cardio training in. The bonus for me and what makes this a really unique experience is the access to their yoga-type classes, known as Flow. I took a Flow class with Sarah and it was awesome. It was equal parts tough and soothing for my sore muscles. Im terrible at making yoga a priority and I love that Formula3 has everything I want (and need) all at the same studio. Its hard to get bored or burnt out with the variety of classes they offer. The staff is also really nice and supportive and the place is super clean and has all the amenities you need (showers, blow dryers, etc.). I even broke my hair tie right before class and they had plenty of extras!

I tried Formula3 Fitness a few weeks ago and can’t say enough about how much I loved it! First of all, the studio is conveniently located in Lafayette and easy to find. Also, from the moment I walked in the doors, I was impressed by the cleanliness and friendliness of staff and trainers. The class I tried was Forge which was focused on strength training with a small portion of cardio. What I first noticed was the state of the art equipment that was set up very well in the space for the interval training style of the class. Next, I appreciated the approach from the trainer who showed the moves, offered ways to modify and selected music that made the workout fun (but really it was quite challenging which is what I look for in my workouts). Aside from classes, they also have showers which I didn’t use but can appreciate if I was going to workout before going to work. If you haven’t tried out Formula3, you’re missing out and definitely should check them out soon.
