Looking for someone with vintage audio repair/restoration experience. Found Electronic Shop via Goggle. Sent a message through the web page. Got a response later the same morning. Will be taking several components in early next week. Professional, personable, and responsive.First of what I hoped to be many positive reviews.
Very knowledgeable about service and the repair was quick and efficient.
Our Sony TV just stopped functioning. We were quite certain it was the HDMI port and initially thought wed need a new T.V. I called Jeff and he listened carefully to my description and asked questions. He then said it would be best for him to come to the house to look at the T.V. Jeff arrived at the house within an hour, and rather quickly discovered it was not a hardware problem; the T.V. needed to connect via the Internet to get regular updates to continue getting signals. Jeff took care of all of this and properly connected our headset so one person can listen via the headset (with required volume control) while others can listen normally. We were very pleased with Jeffs knowledge and personal interaction.
I took my Samsung Stereo Receiver in to get fixed and Jeff did a great job! Reasonable and works great!
Jeff worked with my to repair a SMD diode on a keyboard component. He was not the most proficient at SMD repairs but was apt at fixing my problems and addressing any issues that came up during the repair. Despite numerous new challenges presenting themselves during the repair, he stuck with his original quoted price. His final work was acceptable and his responsiveness is high. For regular electronic (not surface mounted) he is your guy.
Jeff soldered a new capacitor on my Prius combination meter. He did a great job and did it quickly! Thanks Jeff!
The owner is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about all sorts of electronics. I had a vintage amplifier restored by him, and its as good as new, and was done for a very fair price.
I have an old boom box that has been mine since I was 13 years old. In June I noticed that the connection for the power cord was loose and not connecting properly. I contacted this man who agreed to meet me at his shop. When I arrived, I gave it to him and he said it would be easy enough to fix.It is now 4 months later and I still dont have it back. I have called him multiple times with no response. His business operates by appointment only so I cant just drop in.I just want my very personal and important property back.PS: I should have known when I walked into his disaster area of a shop that it was going to be like this 🤦🏼♂️. Stuff was piled so high on every surface that it was almost impossible to move.
