Was a fantastic experience. Abbott’s was helpful and did amazing work on the car. They’ve been around since I was a kid and still in business. I’d recommend them for any auto body repairs for your vehicle. They even do rental cars for ease of process.

** Avoid at all cost ** My car had a collision on the front right bumper. The bumper rail got impacted and slightly bent + radiator leaked (so it had to be replaced). I towed my car here for a repair according to a recommendation of the police officer. After 14 days, I got the car back but they did really poor job at repairing (especially aligning the frame; see pictures). They could pull just a little further to make all parts aligned, but chose to deliver me anyways. The impact I got is minor as you can see from the picture of frame under hood.Complained about the misalignment and all they did was putting glue & trying to make side and front bumper stick together. The glue lasted but only for a couple of days. Went back again to and was told to pay more for a repair. I obviously declined their offer.

Abbotts completed the work on my 2008 Silverado. The price was as I was told in the estimate even though Jason added extras. He found more rust than expected and replaced the part. Great work and best prices in town.

Good place to get your vehicles fixed and put back together right

Jason and his entire staff were extremely helpful and courteous. They were willing to work with me on the type and extent of over all repairs, and did an awesome job. They finished all the work on time; and got my jeep back looking like new. And not just the body repairs, but inside as well.

Let me be very clear..... Jason CAN do excellent work. He chooses not to...... Jason has almost abandoned his business. My Mother has a trunk that still leaks after many many attempts to repair. Her paint is peeling and Jason said that it was all they could do. We all know better than that. Be careful if he offers to cover your insurance deductible!!!!!! Just so you know...... Thats insurance fraud.

I took my car to another shop at first because my insurance recommend them. I got an estimate and even though they knew I had no rental coverage they said it would be 3 weeks at least. I heard a commercial for Abbotts on the radio and thought I would see what they could do. He said it would take 8 days, it was done in only 3 days!!! My car looks brand new! They even detailed the interior! I love this place, I will NEVER go any where else!!! Very polite, helpful and explained exactly how everything would work, even with my insurance. Abbotts customer service is AMAZING. My girlfriend and I were frantically searching for a body shop in Lafayette that was open on Saturday afternoon that could do an emergency repair on a window. They were the only shop that was willing to help us. There was a rain storm brewing and they were able to mend our window to keep our car dry until the parts arrived! They fixed it on the spot and even stayed late to help us out! They have completely earned our future business!!!! We highly recommend this shop to anyone in the Greater Lafayette area!!

I had a little accident with a snow bank and decided to have Abbotts Precision Collision fix my car. They were wonderful. They arranged for tow trucks to come to my home and get my car. They worked very closely with the insurance company and I had no headaches. This is a local company and I spoke with the owner several times. Very knowledgeable and very kind and courteous. The work they did to my car was amazing.Update 2/15/2016: A deer ran into my passenger side of my car. I took to Abbotts Precision again and they did an outstanding job on my car again. My car is a 2009 Pontiac G6. It did take a little longer as finding a few parts took a little longer to find. I have no complaints with Abbotts and have recommended this body shop to many people and will continue to recommend them.

These people were extremely helpful. I knew nothing about this process but they were very knowledgeable about what they were doing with my car and how to deal with the insurance company. They even fixed some things free of charge. The staff seem like very friendly and honest people. I just pulled up, asked for an estimate, they sent it to the insurance company, they made sure I got a rental car, and once it was approved, they fixed my car in only 3 days. I wouldnt recommend any place else.

I drove 2 hours to come drop off my car so you guys could fix it. But when I arrived nobody was here the lights were all off the open light sign was turned on and you werent supposed to close till 5:30 and I showed up half an hour to 45 minutes before you. Had my Dodge Intrepid involved in a bad accident. The guy fixed it back to near-perfect condition, and was very friendly and prompt in delivery.No hidden charges or additional bills. Extremely professional in work; rather than replacing all new parts, they recommended used parts for the damaged ones (which saved a lot of money), and it was almost as good as new. If you are in Lafayette (or nearby), this IS the place to go for collision repairs.

While traveling during NYE, I got in a car accident. I was over four hours away from home, all rental places were closed and insurance would not help me. Thankfully, the owner and friendly office manager came to the rescue. They called my insurance, worked out a deal (where it was 100% covered), and gave me a safe vehicle to travel in the terrible weather. Not only were they helpful, but they were kind and trustworthy. Operated by great people. Would highly recommend.

The quality of service and workmanship was outstanding. They undercut every estimate I received, and when the work was done, my car looked better than new.They even cleaned out the interior!The customer service is too notch as well, friendly and personal.

Stay away from this place, Jason do dishonest business, all he does is rip people off, I bought a car that last me only 2 months, so more or less I threw thousand the dollars down the drain, he lied about everything about the car and when i asked about the air conditioned he lied about it, when he was doing the transaction for the car he was eating some Mexican food and he didnt even stop eating from his plate out of respect for me and for knowing that he was getting big money for a piece of junk. He acts very estrange like he is hiding something, no very nice person to do business, in fact I am very surprise that he still in business.

Besides selling all my information to insurance companies, this place has obviously no knowledge in car repair or customer service.I wrecked my car last winter and didnt really have a choice in mechanics because my car was overheating due to a broken radiator and I wasnt able to drive much farther. They informed me I needed a new radiator and I blissfully agreed, not knowing a thing about cars. Ended up charging me over $800 for a new radiator. I put that in quotations because when I took it to the next mechanic they informed me that it was definitely not new, and should not have cost more than $200, it that.Anyways, after being swindled and overcharged, I went home and within 24 hours of paying received over 16 different insurance agents asking if I needed a quote for my recent accident. After furiously questioning every caller after the first two, I found out that my name and number had been sold out. My credit card just happened to have an unexplained charge as well, coincidence? I think not.A few months later, now in the summer time, when my car is overheating and leaking coolant. I take my car in to get fixed to another location (obviously), and they tell me the previous mechanic did not connect the fan or the coolant hose correctly. Leading me to believe, abbotts mechanics are quite literally the dumbest mechanics in the state of Indiana.In my opinion, youre better off watching a youtube video or fix your car with duct tape rather than go to this terrible and awful place.

I was attempted to be scammed by this business, particularly Belle. When I dropped my car off for repair, she wanted an estimate I got from a different repair place because she said they had to go off of it (it was $1000 more expensive.) She refused to do the service I was promised just two days before. She threatened me with insurance fraud and accused me of making money off the situation. When I asked for my car back to take it somewhere else she then said they would do the repairs as initially promised. I dont trust her or this business.

NoI paid 2 thousand and 200 dollars for a new bumper...1.5 days later my front bumper was hanging off. Took it back...nope, wasnt anything they did. Hmmmm. Damn right they didnt DO THAT. I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE. ..just leaves one with a really bad taste in their mouth.

Attention, BE AWARE THIS AUTO SHOP, Ridigulously service, SCAM. they took 2 and half months to fix my car. The original cost was estimated to be $12000(pay out of pocket), but Jason, the owner, charged me over $14000 for the job instead. He also lost my license plate during the process, and he refused to put back my lower panel after he cut it, even after I asked him to do so. He just said it wasnt included in the estimate. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS AUTO SHOP if you dont want your car sleep in his shop for unresonble repair time, lost license plate or something else, added more than 10 percent cost of original estimated. stay away away away.

It definitely wasnt as professional as I would have hoped. My cars serp. belt broke and needed to be replaced. We knew the problem before arriving, so we called ahead to make sure they could accommodate us that day, even though it was a Saturday. We got there around 11:30 am, and the person at the desk, who I assumed to be the owner, said that hed be able to look at it and get it fixed when his guys got back from lunch. We agreed to that and then found out what time they closed, so that we could make sure to pick the car up before they closed for the weekend. They closed at 3 pm, and by 2 pm, we hadnt gotten a call, so my fiance decided to go there to be ready for when it was finished or to at least get an update. The same guy that was there that morning told my fiance, My guys never came back from lunch. I looked at it, and I agree that we need to replace the serp. belt, but I cant do it today because I have plans. Ill do it Monday. We had no choice but to wait for Monday... On Monday around 11 am we still hadnt heard anything from them so we decided to stop by for an update. They said, We looked at it, and we might need to get a new part for you. We asked why we hadnt been notified of this yet, and they claimed it was because they were waiting on the owner to come to work and approve it. At this point, I was so frustrated by all the delays that I told them to do what they have to do to fix the car because this was getting ridiculous. At 5 pm, we finally got a call saying that the car was ready. We picked it up and paid about $400 for the work and the parts.The experience was terrible for me mainly because of the lack of care and the unwillingness to follow through with the promises that were made. If, on Saturday, we had been told they were understaffed and wouldnt get to it until Monday, then Id be more understanding. However, they didnt follow though with their promise and didnt even have the courtesy to let us know of the changes regarding finishing on Saturday or the other replacement part, and that really aggravated me.

This was the worst place ever, took months to repair my vehicle then had to keep taking it back because things were wrong, horrible paint job and cheap parts. I had to tell them what was wrong. Never did fix to my satisfaction and lied on the insurance claim what they replace. NEVER GO HERE!!!!

FLAWLESS PAINT MATCH AND BODY WORK 😍

I would not recommend Abbotts to anyone. It took them four days to paint rear bumper and side rock panel until they called me out. They said my car was ready but it was not! I found a chip on the rear bumper and they tried to touch up paint that chip hoping that I would not find their smart work. The rock panel was not polished as well.When I pointed these defects out, that girl said shes surprised on how the paint was done. And it took them two more days to repaint and polish the car.It surprises me a lot that Abbotts have been around for so long and received so many positive comments, however due to my experience there, I would never recommend this shop to anyone. Avoid them if possible.

Called them near closing time about a small, but inconvienent problem. They fixed it after hours within 40 mins of calling! Both guys were helpful and nice.. recommend to anyone!

Abbotts did a great job they fought to save our car from American Freedom Insurance who was trying to total out our car we filed a new claim under our insurance company at State Farm and the next day State Farm approved the work on the car Abbotts said they would have it ready by the end of the following week and it was done right on schedule. Thank You Abbotts youre the best feels like a brand new car.

Dont take your vehicle to this place. My boyfriend and I hit a deer. We took it there to get repaired and had over $400 worth of stuff stolen from the vehicle ( including radio, backup camera, and tire pressure sensors that my boyfriend installed himself). It also took months for them to finish the job and the only reason they finished when they did was because we called the police to report the missing stuff.

Fair estimates, honest and good body work

I would have to rate one star, and advise folks to look elsewhere. Took in a car for minor damage and Jason eyeballed it and wrote a figure on his card. It was lower than Rohrman so I thought I would give it a try.When I called out, they said the car was ready, but it wasnt, so I waited an hour while they washed it. (??) Some of the paint damage had not been buffed out, visible to me at least. Also the fender liner was not clipped back into the fender.Nice folks, but too loosey-goosey IMO.An old timer who had his truck in for repairs told me they had disconnected but not reconnected his tail light and turn signal wires, which he only discovered after driving off.Just not enough attention to detail. The body shop at my dealer does a more thorough job for not much more money.Live and learn. YMMV.

It took two and a half weeks to replace my bumper. They were supposed to reattach the exhaust pipe which apparently should have been simple (according to them), but when I got it back it was attached incorrectly. Also, the first time I went in to retrieve my car when they said it was finished, my brakes were completely shot and they tried to blame me for the issue even though they had been perfectly fine the times I drove it to and from for the estimate. After they fixed that issue, my brakes felt very weak which I would say decreases how safe I feel while driving. At that point it had been almost a month since I first dropped my car off, so I took it home and will not be returning to Abbots again. Granted part of the time was Thanksgiving, which I understand, but overall it took far too long to get my car back in practically worse condition than when I dropped it off.With regards to customer service, the person I spoke with most of the time was pleasant. However, it seemed like every time she called me to update me on the status of my car, she had some other issue to add to the list; she would always try to sound apologetic, but to me, it came off as patronizing since I think she assumed I knew nothing about cars. I rarely spoke to anyone else though, so I have no comments on the rest of their demeanors.

The owner quoted me a price and told me it would be ready in 3-4 days. Four weeks later, the car still wasnt ready. When I called to ask how much longer it would take, he told me he was doubling the price to fix it. When I questioned how he could possibly do that, he told me to take it somewhere else and hung up on me. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy after the way I was treated.

You should only choose this disappointment of a body shop if you dont want your work done on time and dont want the work you requested to be done. I requested a rocker panel replacement, and got a little metal welded to the rusted areas. Only a fraction of the work promised was done, and it took 2 extra days. I had to point out to the owner that sections of my vehicle werent even painted. Poor workmanship is an understatement.
