Trialed a few different barber shops in town and I have to say that Bernadette’s tops them all for men’s haircuts. My stylist does a fantastic job every time and am always satisfied. Use the website to schedule your appointments. Highly recommended!

Great atmosphere! My stylist, Joy, is wonderful, especially at miswaks, mullets, etc. Price is great for the quality and the service. It feels nice to have chill space where men can just commune with their stylists. Other customers are nice and supportive/complimentary of one another. The know how to treat their clientele like royalty.

Been going here almost consistently for 6 years, nowhere Id rather get my hair cut. I used to get sport clips until I realized there was a higher quality that could be achieved than a $10 haircut can give.Everyone is kind and welcoming of everyone, prices are cheap considering the raw heat they turn your hair into, and there are plenty of options to choose from when it comes to barbors. Theres also plenty of art fixtures to look at if you dont feel like socializing.You literally cant go wrong, everyone that works there is an incredible barbor. Only reason Im giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is my girl doesnt work there anymore. Id do 4.5 if I could.Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a real haircut.

I have been a loyal customer here for several months... today I was running 5 minutes late so I decided to call and ask if Erin still had time to cut my hair. She said yes. I showed up to the shop and I told her I wanted a fade. She said I dont have time for that but continued to cut my hair anyway. I had told her to stop but she insisted that she trim my hair so I let her continue because she told me that she wouldnt be able to get me in for weeks. After my 4 minute trim they still charged me for a haircut. I am still in shock at the lack of respect and professionalism. I felt like I was kicked out of her chair for her mistake. They also have a dog that runs around the shop jumping on the clients. I will be going back to Evan Todd Salon where they know how to treat people. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. You can get better respect at your nearest Great Clips.

Best haircuts and beard trims around Purdue. I tried all the alternatives in West Lafayette and was left disappointed. The only bad part about my experience with Bernadettes is that I did not discover them earlier in my college career!

I came here because it seemed like a nice place to get a haircut. I didnt realize they scheduled appointments online, I just walked in. They were very nice about it, and the owner squeezed me in after her last appointment, which she didnt need to. I really appreciated it. I got a great haircut I was very happy with, and my girlfriend loved it. I plan on coming back again soon, because Im starting to get a little shaggy again.

My 2 boys love going here. Syd is awesome with kids. There are plenty of lollipops for kids and beer for parents.

I really like this place! My first experience here was getting a straight razor shave on the day of my wedding. It was fantastic! I dont know any other place in the area that offers that. Since then Ive been back for haircuts and beard trims, all of which have been great. The staff here is very friendly and fun to talk to. Highly recommend this place!

The only place I know of in the West Lafayette and Lafayette area where you can get your hair cut without being embarrassed to look at yourself until it grows out. Seriously, when I moved to the area I tried so many places, all fails. I am honestly warning you against going anywhere but here. If you like to be in public after getting your hair cut go here.

I called for a same day cut for my five year old son and they got me in within the hour. We ended up waiting a half hour longer than I was told, but Im not complaining since it was such short notice (and the gentleman who had the appointment before him had obviously very thick and curly hair). He was even brought a water and toys to play with while he waited! My sons appointment was with Sid and she gave him a great cut (and was very patient with him). Would highly recommend.

Stopped in at around 2pm and made an appointment for 7:30 the same night. Received a voicemail to confirm my appointment just before 7:00 saying I could come in early if I wanted since they finished up with the previous client early. I immediately got ready, walked 20 mins to the shop arriving early for my appointment as instructed...... shop was closed and locked up. These jokers actually called me to confirm my appointment, then (apparently) decided they didnt want to wait around for the last scheduled appointment of the day, locked up and went home. No follow up or apology the next day. Douchebag level -- ELITE.

I came in about 15 minutes earlier than my appointment, but was still seated within 3 minutes. Place is kept clean and has nice atmosphere and music is subtle and quiet. Free coffee was provided by the coffee shop down the street and my barber was friendly and did an adequate job. The only issue I had was the price. I am a man with very little hair and $23 seemed steep for a basic trim.

I forget who the misses name but anyone who reads your hair and spends a half hour perfecting your cut while making relevant conversation is the person to go to, and thats how they do it here!

Highly recommend Boogs (Erin) for toddler cuts. I recently had my 2 year old son’s hair cut by her and she did an AMAZING job. I was thoroughly impressed how quickly she got his hair cut and how stylish it was. She had some advice on how to manage my son’s swirls and cowlicks so next time it looks even better. She also did great keeping my son calm and seated during his appointment. I will definitely be returning to her every time! #TeamBoogs

First haircut was great. But the second time I went to try and get my haircut (on a Saturday walk-in) they were closed at 330pm. Update the hours please.

My boyfriend has been here three times now for a beard trim. The first time we went to bernadettes and had great atmosphere... not so great beard trim. Following visit we tried the third street barbers with a new stylist. Even worse experience in which she shaved down his cheeks (which he had told her explicitly not to do). We thought well maybe he wasnt clear enough about what he wanted. Third time around he asked for a trim and got a SHAVE. Throughout the trim itself it is difficult to view the stylists actions and whats going on, so when you have spent 6+ months growing a beard and you stand up look in the mirror and see at least 3 months of growth lopped off? He specifically said NO LENGTH OFF OF IT JUST THE MUSTACHE. And she butchered his beard. Needless to say... an amazing environment cant make up for crappy beard trims. We will never go back, and will be sure to share our experience. Very disappointed is an understatement.
