FAST, EFFICIENT, HONEST MECHANIC! I have been unfortunate enough to have to use their services many times in the last year, and there is no one else in Lafayette I trust more for my mechanic work. Every time I have brought my vehicle in, they gave me a fair and honest price and explained exactly what was done and why. Also a bonus that they always have my car ready before their promised time, sometimes by a whole day! While I hope to not have to see them again any time soon, I know where to go when something does go wrong.

My Toyota Sienna (van) over-heated and stalled while I was enroute to Lafayette a couple of days ago - I had it towed to Bertinots at the recommendation of my son who swears by Larry Bertinots quality work and impeccable honesty !! Larry diagnosed the problem as a faulty water pump and thermostat - He was very busy as usual, but he fit me in and got me back in operation in a couple of days at a very reasonable price. He will have all of my service work from now on !!!!

After repeated issues with my mechanic I had used for years, I brought 2 vehicles here that were badly overdue for maintenance; both vehicles at about 130k miles. AC work and several scheduled maintenances on one; brakes, transmission service, rear suspension replacement, brake light issues, wiper motor issues on the other + the engine “didn’t sound right after I had the intake manifold replaced by my former mechanic... I didn’t know how else to explain the noise. Turns out, the other mechanic had cross-threaded my EGR tube. These guys were quick, excellent at diagnosing and sorting out all the issues with both vehicles (Chevy Sonic and Lincoln Town car). Very reasonable pricing for the amount of work they did; I didn’t feel taken advantage of. They’re nice, their place is clean, only issue is that sometimes they get busy and can’t answer the phone. Hard to find a good mechanic these days. These guys earned my trust.

Amazing and honest mechanic!!!!I have been dealing with issues on my vehicle for months and went to two other mechanics in which both times my vehicle came back running horrible.I heard an advertisement for Bertinots and decided to give them a try.I was super impressed from the very beginning! Nicest people ever, however....totally misdiagnosed needed repair and quoted $1,500. Got a second opinion: repair was obvious and easily diagnosed with a knowledgeable mechanic for $700.00 repair including parts. Since it was so easily diagnosed and had nothing to do with what they said needed to be fixed, made me wonder.......

Larry was amazing . I have truly met not only a good mechanic but an honest and ethical one . The previous mechanic ( pep boys) messed up my car and tried to blame it on me . Pep boys charged me over 700.00 for a car they did not fix . Larry fixed it without exhorbant costs. Larry said if I can’t fix it I will not charge you . In all my adult years I have never heard that ! From now on Larry is my official mechanic.

Ive been going to Bertinots for over six years now. They have done always provided excellent work and warranty all the components. Even if I got something fix but had issues with it afterwards I have always been able to bring it back and have it inspected and repaired usually without any charge. They are honest, and really look out for you.

Owner was very nice and staff. I felt that my truck wasnt fix properly and I spent 2 grand in repair definietly not satisfied wish I would of went to courtesy ford instead of trying to save a buck☹️☹️☹️

My nineteen year old son was stranded in Lafayette with some college friends. I was in New Orleans. We were sure the car needed an alternator. They certainly could have taken advantage of the situation and just charged us for a new alternator; however, instead they said nothing was wrong with the vehicle. They explained it was possible that there may have been a loose connection that was tightened when the battery was first checked the day before. I insisted on paying something because some time was given into the vehicle for diagnosis. They refused payment. They were very honest. I would highly recommend Bertinots to my many friends of college kids.

Ive been into cars since I could talk, but due to living in an apartment and always being so busy, I dont have the time to turn wrenches as much as I can. I found out about these guys a few years back and gave them a try - and Im sure glad I did, because theyve been nothing but helpful. Theres no grey area here - problems are fixed, and if a problem is discovered, youll know about it. No surprises, and thats how it should be. Support local business and let Mr. Larry school you on a few things - you just might be able to do it yourself next time!

I have been dealing with them for years ever since I moved to Lafayette. I am disappointed with the last service. My granddaughter brought her car there which they had service for many years and I feel they didnt do a complete check up on the car. I am not happy.

You wont find a more honest mechanic shop--this one refunded me cash from a job that was done where new parts were defective--never dreamed a mechanic would ever be honest enough to refund cash to me from a repair job--also hearing from others of their honest history--I cant recommend these people to enough friends!!
