Absolutely the best! Great work & customer service! They make one feel like part of the family. Explained everything to me from what was wrong to the price it would cost to fix it.
This mechanic shop is not good for nobody to bring any vehicles too. I pay 1500.00 to fix my head I got back and it worst condition did I brought it was killing on me in the middle of high way three weeks drove car the motor lock have a whole year warranty and theyre telling me its not there fault bought back kept4 months doing nothing to it just sitting there so I got tried of them lieing to me about my car so I took dis are the pictures when I was told all new parts was put when they never done anything lawsuit it is
My 17 year old daughter brought her car here on the advice from O’reilly’s. She was losing power as she was driving. She told them what it was doing and asked them diagnose the problem. They ended up adding oil which was not the problem and cleaning off the battery terminal. Kept the vehicle for an hour and half and charged us $200. They completely took advantage of my 17 year old daughter knowing that she wouldn’t know the difference. They did the work without us telling them to. When I called to dispute the charge, I spoke to the owner and he claimed they did NOT take advantage and they had the lowest labor costs in all of Lafayette. Terrible service and communication and completely takes advantage of the customer. NEVER go here. They will rob you and take advantage of you. So disappointing to see this, especially in the world today.
Very quick and affordable! Honest mechanic. Highly recommend
We have trusted Corks with our cars for ten years and its been good.
Good communication posture and detail customer care 🙂
I referred a friend there and I regret it! Hi way robbery and they still have his truck. $280 to change a break switch and remove another part that was told at drop off. Bad communication between receptionist that wont own up to her mistake. The worst experience ever at a time like this! And nothing is being honored!
This should be a crime we were referred here by Service Cadillac we was told by Corks it was a one to two day job and cost 250 to 300 to get it fix this was 2 months ago every week we were given lies after lie finally my husband had enough and when to get his car the car steering was rip apart the car had no switch problem b4 it was in there for engine control box he even put a new battery for whatever reason he charge us 1,287 for a car that he never fix if you go here expect unprofessional services indeed because we sure got ROB.
Wanted to change the water pump . told me 175 then get there it’s 779 dollars that’s a big difference y’all don’t come here this Business should be shut down .i would not recommend this place to no one now I have to figure out how I’m goin to get my car back
Treated me like family and listen to all my concerns about repairing my car I would Recommend men this company to anyone
They was charging me 850 dlls to fix my “broken transmission” and i fixed it with 10 dollars... the worst place to fix your car...Today.. march 25 of the year 2021, exactly 10 months and 9200 miles later since i made this review, my car still running like a champ with the 10 dollars repair! Y’all better go somewhere else! I never went back! They will rob you!
Trash 🗑️
THEY DID A WONDERFUL JOB!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CORKS AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR. THEY ARE FAIRLY PRICED AND TREATED ME GREAT. THE REPAIRS WERE DONE IN A TIMELY AMOUNT OF TIME.
Interesting that this business reviews are so split; I am sorry for anyone that had a bad experience here, but we had a good one. The heater control valve disintegrated and the transmission failed on our 20 year old vehicle as we were making a cross country drive, passing through Lafayette. The Chevy dealers service department wouldnt touch it and referred us to Corks, which was thankfully very close by. From the minute we pulled up to the place and explained our situation (being on the road with 2 dogs, driving to CA), the mechanics stopped what they were doing and diagnosed our vehicles issues. It took a few days, but they repaired it as quickly as possible, knowing we had to rent a car and get a hotel while they worked on our car. They worked beyond normal business hours to finish the job, and it was not a small or easy repair job. We have purposely waited to write a review to make sure the repair held up for the remainder of our trip and beyond. So far, no problems and it has been a month.Btw, it WOULD be a 5 star if we hadnt driven by one evening to check on the vehicle and get something we needed out of the car and found the car unlocked, windows down, with a huge rainstorm coming. We talked to them about it and they apologized for the slip up; luckily, nothing had been stolen out of the car and we closed it up before the rain hit
They will overcharge you. To replace my mass airflow sensor they charged me almost $400. It’s a 2 minute job. You can tell them call & give an estimate first, they will ignore what you said, work on your car anyways & send you a high bill. Don’t go here.
Incompetent at best, crooks at worst. Didn’t do what I asked and charged $250, went to pick up the truck and problem is still persistent. They kept it for 3 weeks and returned it the second time with the idle speed screw cranked up way to rev and keep motor from dying. Three weeks and $250 later, they offered to take it back second time do the carb rebuild for another $500 of labor. Lol, no thanks. The secretary is nice, though.
My car been at this shop going on 3 week for a misfire and 2 minor oil leaks on dealing with the power steer cap and the other leaking oil from the valve cover bolt in the front i dont have intention on bringing my car here anymore
DO NOT GO HERE. They will charge you triple of the cost to fix your car. All I needed was to clean the small wire on my mass air flow sensor b/c it had grease on it & replace a hazard switch. They charged me $352 ($197 labor) (rest for part, keep in mind the part is far from that high) for a job that wld take you 10 minutes at your house. They will not call you to tell you the estimate, they will just fix it and charge you a high amount. I dont do reviews at all, but this pissed me off to where i figured Id let others know.
Every other place wanted me to make an appointment for The following week I brought my car there and they squeezed it in the same day and fixed the problem in same day. Definitely would bring my car here again
The exact opposite experience you want at a mechanic. I was quoted $150 for a simple lock repair over the phone. No one ever called me to say when my vehicle would be ready. After calling to find out that the repairs had been finished, they claimed a number of extenuating circumstances that ballooned the price to just under $700.The work was already done without my approval. If I refused to pay they would hold my vehicle and charge lot fees.I cannot recommend enough, stay away from this place. Go literally anywhere else.
Great service and they did a really good job on my car!
Crooks!!! You could put your money in your car and burn it -to the ground- and it would still be better invested than leaving it with these tools. The prices are not really all that cheap, if you take into consideration how many times they have to fix something or how bad theyve screwed up your car doing it.
I LOVE leaving good reviews. Sadly I can NOT bring myself to leave a good review about this place. Had the problem we had with our car been properly diagnosed we would have been on our way with a bill of $225 towing included. That is NOT what happened unfortunately. When we broke down on our way home to Texas and needed it to be repaired, I found Corks Automotive. They wanted to charge us over $800 to replace our fuel pump. We were able to get a fuel pump at a cheaper price at ORiellys and have it sent to them. They told us that they had done the things they needed to do to ensure it was the fuel pump. That was not true. Later we received a call saying they had misdiagnosed what was wrong with our vehicle. This definitely indicated that the tests were not done. They did not test the fuel pump before replacing it. They said they could remove the new fuel pump and put the good original fuel pump back in which would be an additional $190 in labor!!!??? We elected to keep the new fuel pump that they had installed instead of paying for them to fix their mistake. They also said their would be additional cost for labor to fix the actual problem. This is understandable although in our business we will go above and beyond to make things right. We would never even think about charging our customers for our time spent in fixing a mistake we had made. When I got the call with the final total I asked for them to break down the cost because it was still almost $500 even though we had payed for our own fuel pump. They were upcharging us an additional $20 for the towing cost. When we questioned this they said since the towing company had given us the actual pricing and we knew what it should have cost they would change that. They also increased the price on the work to fix the actual problem. We were just so ready to be out of there and just wanted our vehicle back. When they brought our vehicle to us, which was very nice of them, one of our daughters mentioned we had to cancel our trip to Sea World. She didnt even acknowledge my daughter at all. The cops, Holiday Inn hotel employees and people in Scott, LA were all absolutely amazing and extremely nice to our four small children during our unfortunate circumstances, but our experience with Corks automotive was very disappointing.5 stars to the cops in Scott, LA, to the Holiday Inn in Scott, LA; Lake Charles, LA; San Antonio, TX and Sea World for their compassion in our situation and going above and beyond!!!
Bad service all the way around they dont call you to say that they changed parts on your vehicle that you havent told them to change. And on top of that they take parts off your vehicle to put on sombody else vehicle and give you a bad part when yours was brand new when you bring it there never will they receive my services again
Corks has the friendliest emplyees and the most knowledgeable staff that will do ANYTHING to help there customers. If you have any questions about repairs or what has been repaired, they will walk you through everything step by step. They have the absolute best prices and are very fast at getting you in and out. I really love these guys and will NEVER take my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 to ANYONE else. Not even the dealership. I know i could only give a 5 star rating to Corks because thats all i had to choose from, but, i would honestly give them a 1,000 star rating if i could. Trust me, GO TO CORKS if you want something done right the right way and fast. Thank yall Cork, Dionna, George, Louis, Trish....etc....
Been in business for many years. Great service!
Only shop I go to. Great service every time. And doesnt charge an arm and a leg.
Very slow. Does not have vehicle ready at time promised. Did not call like promised to update on vehicle status. Does not care about convenience of customer. Will no longer be doing business with them.
Very dependable and great service and price
Excellent customer service and workmanship
The OWNER IS A CROOK!
My son had his motor rebuilt 4 times and its back here again.. they do not fix your car and it took months to get the car back. It has been 3 weeks and still havent heard from them yet!
Nice service, great staff
Was quoted $3,000 for an engine change but it ended up costing over $6,000. My car also sat in the parking lot for about 4 months before they even started working on it which caused water etching in the paint and windows. Overall it took 6 months to finish the car and get it back. Expect to pay twice the quoted amount.
Very good manchie
Very nice people
Cork the Crook. Wouldn’t let them fix a flat on a bicycle. Certified Scam Artist. 🖕🏽
They are my family
