I made an appointment for a haircut on the Friday of Fathers Day weekend. Not only did they cancel on me at the last minute because the barber called in sick, but when I called to see if there was anyway they could help me the guy on the phone had an attitude and I almost felt like it was my fault Lol!!! Not a good first experience! Not looking to give them another..

Went in as a walk in and was seen within a reasonable amount if time, the shop is busy but that isnt a bad thing. Got an expert haircut and beard trim by Justin, went in looking like Grizzly Adams and came out with a cool and refined cut. Highly recommended

I usually go to Ricks in Meredith, but needed a cut before work travel on a Monday. Bree (owner) cut my hair. As I attempted to tell her how I wanted it cut, she interrupted me, touted how experienced she was and ended up cutting my hair WAY too short. Save the attitude, Bree, and listen to your customers...business 101. Seeing the other reviews, it seems your attitude is the main source of any negativity and your responses to negative posts tell the story. Listening skills are essential in business and I sincerely wish your business success going forward.

I was the unfortunate recipient of a bad haircut from another (unnamed) establishment in the area. So, as a walk-in, I was sat down with Gina, who not only welcomed the challenge of fixing someone elses mistake but gave me a great cut I didnt feel the need to cover up with a ball cap. I will be going back, I just wont be getting a bad cut from somewhere else first.

I understand their desire to shorten the long wait times by raising prices, and they claim they are doing this for us. But what does this say to their long-term customers that live on tight budgets who brought them to this point? It says: were going to shorten wait times for those who can afford it by pricing you out. A more customer-oriented business strategy would be to use the extra revenue to expand the business there, or move to a larger location.

Very rude owner. I was clearly a new customer and was given some of the worst customer courtesy Ive ever been met with. I left and spent my money where I was greeted with a smile and professional courtesy. I do not recommend this place no matter how good the owner thinks her shop is. She should not be in the business and probably not allowed around people in general. Dont waste your time or money here.

This place drives me nuts. Barbers talk way too much causing amazingly long waits. People walk in and turn around if more than 2 people are waiting. And they do not care. Never coming back again. Not worth the frustration. Haircuts are ok.

Excellent customer service, very polite, and i received the best haircut from any barber shop in the area. Had an old style to it with the old chairs, cash register, and the record player. The barber tools in the window give it the sense of uniqueness.

Fantastic barber shop on Main Street of Laconia. Bree and Tyler are both tremendous barbers whether it be for a haircut or straight razor shave. Their popularity has been the only downfall because you always have a long line before you, but recently they brought in an app that allows you to sign in providing your cell phone number and then you can wander around downtown until you receive a text notifying you that it is now your turn. With this, you can visit the antique center, Wayfarer Coffee Roasters, The Laconia Village Bakery or step around the corner for a shoe shine at Daubs Cobbler Shop. Great customer service and the best haircut in town...

Went to Polished and Proper Barbershop for the first time today....VERY VERY NICE Barbers and very professional...love the atmosphere, love the conversation...These Guys and Goils are the bomb diggity bomb...will be going there again..for sure!!! :D
