HorrifyingLet me remind you this is also three days before Halloween, I also explain to her that we are going to have pictures taken and it’s important that his hair look great if she could not do it it would not be a big deal I could wait, she said she could do it, She was very kind and seemed patient.I went about 430 on Wednesday afternoon I told the lady I would like my son to have a fauxhawk showed her pictures explained to her that he is almost 6, and that he most likely would not stay completely still & that IF THAT was an issue we could wait, she said no it would be fine. She ended up giving him a buzz cut I could’ve done at home for free she nicked him about three times told him she would give him candy afterwards and did not I am not happy with the service and I would never go back there

Im turning 43 and wanted something different, more vibrant, and fun. I contemplated different hair styles for over a month and found several pictures that I thought conveyed some of the looks I wanted to try for. Megan was very patient, looking at my pictures, and listening to what I was hoping to come out with. I forgot to tell her that I have well water before she started on my highlights, but she didnt panic. She was calm, cool, & collected. She let me know that we may not get the result I wanted exactly but she was going to try everything she could to get me close. She told me what she was doing throughout the process and offered to see me again later to get it closer. In the end, she showed me my new hair makeover, and honestly she couldnt have done a better job. It was perfect!!! Everything I had hoped for!!! I left feeling like I was in a hair commercial with perfectly fresh, vibrant, healthy, bouncy hair. I told her I had an event that afternoon, so she styled it for me too. I felt like I had been to an elite expensive salon, but without the nagging buyers remorse on my wallet!!

Made an appointment with them on Friday for my daughters birthday. It was going to be her first time getting colored. Set the time for 2 pm on Sunday and verified it multiple times. They didnt show up. Very upset.

Megan did amazing! My hair was horrible when I can in and she completely transformed it into a masterpiece. She talked me through every step and new exactly what she was doing. I will never go to anyone else. I highly recommend her. The barber, I believe Rachel is her name, shaved a design in the bottom part and it looks great! They all were so positive and make you feel So important. I will never go anywhere else.

All the girls are great except Kelly. All she does is gossip. She complains about the employees and talks about their private business. She has even went as far as making fun of her foreign girls accent and said she only hired her because she had too. I love the prices here and the girls are great but I think I am looking for a new salon.

These ladies always do such a great job. Theyre very friendly and informative which is extremely helpful. This is my go-to place to get my hair done.

I normally go to a barber, but SmartStyle may become my new place to get a haircut! When I arrived there was no wait time, and Heather immediately showed me to her chair. The haircut was great and there was also a shampooing, at no extra cost! The overall price was very reasonable and the service was exceptional! Another great thing about SmartStyle is that they are open until 9 PM, so you can still make it if you work late, and they accept appointments or walk-ins. If you are looking for a great, convenient place to get your hair cut/styled, SmartStyle is the place to go!

For the past several several visits to this salon Kelly Samuels would do my hair. Below average shampoo most definitely but an excellent curl set. However, the last few times I have tried to make a appointment with her she has an excuse or is to busy. I think she needs to put forth more effort to keep customers coming back. Many people are busy in their careers, but customer retention should be top priority. Then after other stylists have had to do her job and I make the attempt to schedule with the previous stylist they explain to me the stylist no longer works here and had quit. It deeply saddens me how many wonderful ladies leave the salon because of Kelly.

Haley is my go to stylist! She knows exactly what I want and gives me great hair service everytime. First stylist to keep my kids attention and not crying. Repeat customer for years! My children request her by name totally worth our hour drive time.

In the past, I have always received decent service and a decent haircut. However, I refuse to continue giving this place my money. On multiple occasions I have stopped in to get my haircut and been rudely told they don’t have time for me. I was recently told I could get my haircut right away, but was then turned away when a friend of the stylist came in right behind me. I have even called ahead to make an appointment and checked in online only to be told that they don’t have time for me. If you stop in and the stylists feel like doing their jobs that day then you’ll get a mediocre haircut.

Worse hair cut ever! I waited an hour for a cut, shampoo and style. Not only did the girl who took my name, not write the order right, the girl who cut my hair refused to do the style because the other girl didnt put it down and because she had another client coming in, in about 15 minutes and cut my hair way too short! This lady use to be the manager there . Been there for 13 years. Maybe its time to find another job! 😠

I came in there today and got the best haircut I had in a long time. The staff is courteous and the price is very reasonable for a haircut and shampoo. I will continue going there in the future and would suggest them to anyone in the area wanting a haircut. I have been a customer there for several years and have always had great results. This is one of the best places in Kokomo to get hair cut and I hope that this is helpful to anyone who reads the review.

Great prices, most of the employees are very friendly (I avoid one while she is working due to her thinking she is better than everyone & she seems to hurt my head anytime she touches it) but I go to everyone else

I have had my long hair cut and highlighted there by 2 different stylist and both times it turned out WONDERFUL! My experience was great and professional! My daughter Is a stylist and has owned a salon so I know what is expected and how long services should take and cost. They are great at the Kokomo, In Walmart! I will continue to go there!

Came in today to get my 7 year old step sons hair cut. Had to wait an hour since they were busy which I didn’t mind since I had to do some shopping anyway. When he got his hair cut they did a complete hack job! It’s all different lengths and looks terrible! She cut his ear too! They have no idea what they are doing! I wasn’t about to make him go to school tomorrow looking like that so we had to go somewhere else to get it fixed! I had to pay for two hair cuts! Not happy!

The person who I wanted to cut my hair tells me to come back an hour later only to shove me off on another lady who cant even give a simple hair cut she even acted like she was on drugs by bumping into the chair and she dropped 3 combs on the floor and telling me she couldnt cut my hair like I usually have it cut. Will not go back there again Bad service by 2 stylists not just one.

They are rude, dont know what they are doing and the time it takes to get in makes it not worth it. I went in to get a trim. It was a hack job and she gave me bangs I didnt ask for. At least the price was fair. 🙄

I came in for a haircut around 830 pm. The woman that cut was an older woman with red hair. She seemed frustrated I came in for a haircut. She was done well before 9. She told me the company gives her an extra 15 minutes pay to go the bank. She proceeds to tell me she was going to edit her time card for an extra 30 minutes since she has to go in town and back. I have colleagues that have have been fired and prosecuted for such acts

They are better than most in Kokomo and cheap too.

Excellant service from Kelly Samuels, Someone posted a bad review in my Grandmother, Judy Lairds name and it was not her. Someone is trying to harm Kellys business under false names. Probably an ex employee, bad thing to do, impersonateing others, probably libalist if not criminal. Better not happen again. Again, Kelly does excellant work!

My son got his hair cut, and it looks great.

Made an appointment 4 days ago. Girl had shaved head leopard tattoos on head wearing a unicorn horn on her head. Hope it was not the manager! That’s scary to think about! I went this morning for my scheduled 9:00 am appointment. Some snotty pinch faced girl waited on me. I told her I had an appointment for a perm and haircut. She refused to look in her book schedule and just kept saying I don’t do perms! I will never go here again! They have no organization and no manners! Some on call me today and acted like they were reminding me of a perm tomorrow. They screw up and then act like it’s my fault! Do not go to this salon!

As of today I will never return to Smart Style. My hair was a red base before I had them dye it, I know red is hard to get out but they dyed my hair twice and it is beyond damaged, my hair is now red,green and black. This is the worst place ever!!!! Also when she was finished she left all kinds of hair dye around my face and ears. Never again!!!

Worst haircut Ive ever got. Very uneven and parts of my hair doesnt even look like was cut. Been here a few times and nevwr had problems. Wont be going back.
