Our experience here was very short lived and costly - we broke our lease the day we were supposed to move in…Sloppy preparation of unit before we moved in (eventhough mgmt said it was in great condition) - dirty, exhaust fan partially off of ceiling, tank to toilet had to support itself by leaning on the wall, lots of signs of previous water damage, smelled, and a ton of previous tenants mail was left in mailbox. Obviously all things easily resolvable but in our opinion should have been taken care of as due diligence before a new tenant moved in.What made us break the lease? The mechanical closet. Please check yours if you live here or plan to live here - mgmt didn’t even bother to look before we acquired the unit. What was presented to us when we moved in was a corroded water heater that was leaking, leaving a puddle of water surrounded by some sort of black substance. It had to be replaced immediately. A decent portion of the interior walls of the closet were black so we had mold concerns. Asked mgmt to have someone come look at it (and by someone I was thinking a mold inspector) but had maintenance come look at it. Maintenance said it was not mold but dust and dirt buildup from over time which…fire hazard? Sprayed some chemical on it. We decided to break the lease to protect our health - we didn’t know what is in that closet and didn’t want to risk potentially getting sick.Be cautious when renting and follow your intuition if you don’t feel something is right!

Incompetent management and maintenance. Stuff goes without being fixed properly.

I have really loved living here! This will be my 24th year living at Winding Brook and i hope to be here another 24. I highly recommend it!

Used to live there prior to the renovations. It had its issues then...mostly from the tenants. Glad to see they are making renovations. Nice neighborhood and convenient location. I do like how the apartments had washer and dryer hookups.

Jeremy from the maintenance staff came the same day I reported a leak under the kitchen sink and a toilet that wasnt properly flushing. Very pleased with his quick response!

If they are updating the place, that is great! When we lived there, we liked that it was close to all the stores, etc. In a quiet neighborhood, but our apt had an old furnace, kitchen, baths, windows and door that leaked when it rained. We had nice neighbors and the staff was nice.

I have lived here for 12 years. When I first moved in they seemed to really care about the property and making look good.In the last 6 years we have gotten new Windows, patios, furnaces and AC units.I have asked for new blinds, painting and for replacement carpet ( its over 12 years old). I got a free carpet cleaning.Most disturbing thing right now is that the neighbor above me was dead for over 3 weeks in his apartment and they have yet to clean it since he was found. Also they wanted his family to pay for the rest of the lease.The neighbors are great but every apartment is a different price when you move in.You are close to everything and its cheap but the office and maintenance staff changes often.

They have so many new renovations- new windows, new sliding doors, new furnaces, new ACs.The staff and maintenance are AMAZING. Very courteous, kind, and helpful.These are definitely worth the price!My family and I love it here.

Good place to stay. Apartment is bit old but peaceful stay in Kokomo. Recently upgraded the windows and heater furnaces and AC.
