I had an Order of Protection that I needed to have served before Court on Monday @8:15 AM. I called Jim at Southern Process on a late Friday afternoon and informed him that I needed the Defendant served and proof of service before the Monday court appearance due to the failure of the local sheriffs office to get the work done on time before Court. Jim said theyd be happy to do it over the weekend for approximately 2.5x what I would normally pay for service of process. I accepted the expedited fee, but come Monday morning, there was no proof of process in my inbox to present to the Court. I called Jim, and he said process had been accomplished but that he had not recieved proof and didnt know where his server was. Luckily, the Defendant appeared anyway and the Court let us proceed--I didnt recieve proof of service until halfway through my court appearance on my iPhone/exchange email. I was not at all pleased with this haphazard outcome and would not choose them again in the future.
