This place was amazing. By the looks of all chairs being filled with clients, this place was huming. My stylist Emma,, was great,, professional and right to the point..Covid practices were inplace, even having you wait outside until they text you to come in for your appt. Hands down one of the best place I have been this side of Tokyo.

Curtis is an awesome barber, and its always a pleasure to go here for my haircut and shave. Be prepared for the prices, they are steep, but its fantastic quality. I liked it better when it was called Franks, but new owners. Oh well. Hopefully there wont be any drastic changes. Gambuzza is a dumb name though. I highly recommend a different name for the place. I feel like Im going to the circus when I talk about it.

Frank’s is hands down the best barber shop for men in Knoxville and the surrounding areas. The environment is very comfortable, and my appointments have always begun on time. Leah has been my stylist for four years and it has changed my look completely. I have had both short hair and shoulder length hairstyles styled by Leah, and I have always been incredibly satisfied with the result. For Halloween I asked Leah to make my hair look like Game of Thrones character Jon Snow, and I won a costume contest because of the hairstyle’s likeness. Leah also makes the appointments fun and entertaining.

Franks Barber Shop is the perfect place for any man regardless of style. Todd did a fantastic job with my hair and beard. He was able to take my abstract ideas and turn them into exactly what I wanted. Each cut was purposeful and precise. In addition to obvious skill, Todd is a great guy in general and I would recommend him to anyone; definitely worthy of the expert barber title. The vintage barber shop atmosphere and the barbers professional attitudes, not to mention complementary root beer served in a frosted mug, really set Franks apart from all other barber shops. After my experience its easy to see why Franks is one of the best barber shops in America. I always leave here feeling like a modern king!

A little on the pricey side, but a great overall experience. We didnt have an appointment which is recommended because they are fairly busy all the time, but luckily they were able to get my son in right away. They were great with my 5 year old, making him feel comfortable and included. The shop itself is gorgeous, its got an old school vibe but with lots of technology. And the staff was great, everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

Ive been having my hair cut by Leah for over a year now. Leah is an exceptional beautician and always does an outstanding job. She is concerned that I have an awesome experience and that I am completely satisfied with how my hair looks when she is finished. I highly recommend Franks and Leah as well.

Our normal stylist wasn’t available and my husband really needed a haircut so we googled places in town that had good reviews. We took a chance with Frank’s and were extremely disappointed. The atmosphere was cool but the barber had no clue what he was doing. I’m not sure if he was new or not but even if your other stylist are good, it is bad business to hire someone who can’t even blend a simple men’s haircut. We will not be returning.

This is a great barber shop, and far exceeded my expectations for a sample beard trim. The lounge inside was quite luxurious, and the barbers in clerks one more than willing to make sure all the customers felt comfortable before, during, and after their shave or haircut. The atmosphere was a rustic and rugged one, with pleasant aroma and abundant laughter. This location was highly recommended to me, and I would also highly recommend this barbershop to anyone in the area.

Frank’s has a nice waiting area; it has televisions, comfortable seating, and a pool table. When I entered I was greeted warmly by the receptionist. My barber inquired about the style of haircut I was seeking. He took the time to listen to me. That’s important. My hair has changed since I’ve gotten older, so my barber styled it accordingly. He even gave me helpful advice on how to apply product to my hair. This was my first visit to Frank’s. I’ve tried the many “popular” barbers and stylists in West Knoxville. Each time I’ve come away not 100% pleased with the outcome. But my experience at Frank’s was 100% positive. Thanks.

This is exactly what you want in a barbershop.While some places have gone after the man-cave appeal, a lot of them end up either riding the line between fake and cringey. Not here, at Franks you genuinely feel taken care for.The staff is incredibly friendly. The relaxed and open atmosphere puts you well at easy and comfortable for the duration of your shave or haircut.Speaking of which, the end results speak for themselves. I am absolutely delighted with my cut and you can bet your bottom dollar Ill be coming back here on the regular for maintenance.In conclusion, Franks is awesome and I would not get my hair or beard trimmed anywhere else in town.

Took my son here twice, wasnt that impressed, as we didnt feel that welcomed. Actually felt like we were just another warm body to them. If you want attention to detail would suggest try another less busy shop. Theres about 15-20 people an hour coming and going...

Originally we had a bit of a sour experience speaking with a call center representative sorting out my son’s appointment. Minutes later we received a call from Frank himself- who was more than apologetic and went above and beyond to make things right and earn our future business. My son had an awesome time at Frank’s- and got a great haircut- and Frank is a business owner’s business owner. What an awesome guy. We will definitely be back next time.

In my opinion, Franks is the best place in Knoxville for mens hair styles. Jarrod did my haircut. It is, hands down, the best haircut Ive ever had. I showed him a picture of what I wanted; he made it happen. The waiting area has more than fashion magazines to keep you occupied, and some refreshments are provided. In response to some of the reviews complaining about price, simply put, you get what you pay for. Considering a haircut and hairstyle often sets the bar for first impressions, I think the end result is WELL worth the price I paid. Ill start out by saying that Im a bald guy with a beard. What business do I have at a barber shop? Well, theres nothing like a good shave and a beard trim! With that said, Ive had good and bad experiences at Franks. The first time my head got carved up by a straight razor and my neck was sore for days from the clipper burn. The barber spent more time staring at his apple watch than the blade in his hand, and then poured powder on the cuts and handed me a cold towel for all the blood. Fortunately, when I let them know about my experience, the management credited me the amount ($40) for the shave and beard trim. I came back and saw a very skilled barber named Curtis who made all the difference. He took his time, was precise, careful, and gave me one of the best shaves of my life. Overall, this place is pretty great, but who you see makes all the difference, and I highly recommend Curtis!

I had a great experience! I am in town for my wedding reception at The Lighthouse (Also Amazing) and was referred by The Lighthouse staff. The atmosphere in the shop is great, the staff is accommodating and my stylist Mallory was a class act. I recommend Franks to my brother in law when he got into town and mentioned that he needed a haircut. Go check them out!

My hair is very difficult to cut. I have had a regular barber in years. Getting a haircut hadcbecome something I dread. I hate to be dramatic, but Franks changed that. Franks was a great experience from the minute I walked in. The place is amazing, the staff is friendly and welcoming. Alicia cut my hair and did an amazing job. Wow! What a great experience again. (forgot to Check-in via G+) I was there 7/13/2012 when the *2012 Mens Olympic Swim team* was there getting haircuts and enjoying the atmosphere. Franks has opened a new area with more barber chairs since I was last there. Glad to see they are doing well, and deservedly so, as my haircuts always are great.My haircuts are always excellent. The experience professional and friendly. Highly recommend Franks.

I have traveled all over the world (39 countries so far), Ive had some great haircut experiences in my life, but Franks Barber Shop is a cut above the rest. The place itself is classy, the service is incredible. I came into the shop with stress from work and left Franks feeling like a new man. It might be a bit more than your average barber but this is not your average barber. They go the whole nine yards in service and to me that totally makes it worth it.

The atmosphere of this location is amazing. You walk in your graded by amazing staff and offered a root beer to drink. While you wait you have the option of sitting in leather chairs, playing pool, and conversing with other gentleman. Taylor is by far the best professional that I see at this location. Franks is hands down the best. I know when my son and I go here we will come out looking our best. We moved last year to Cookeville and after searching multiple places and trying out several other barber shops and hair salons we gladly still make the 1.5 hour drive back to Franks for hair cuts. You simply cant beat it.

I had an appointment for 12:30 and waited for 45 minutes for Terry and not only had to leave but was shown zero concern for my lack of service! I completely understand taking longer than expected to do a good job for a client, but I was never once communicated with during the waiting process. This was my first time at Franks the best barber shop in America and I have to say...Ive gotten better service a Great Clips.

Frank’s is the best! I grew my hair out for 2 years and went in for a cut. I’d never had a long haircut before and didn’t know what to ask for, plus my hair is crazy curly and thick. The first cut ended up looking too poofy once it dried, so I came back and they totally took care of me. Ended up spending 2 hours on my hair in total and making me look awesome. Been a regular with Leah for almost four years, and could not recommend her enough. Definitely worth the price and booking specifically with her. She is an absolute pro with men’s hair and even manages to make my (thick and difficult) hair look neat and presentable everytime. Always look forward to our appointments.

I have been going to Franks for over two years. I always get a good haircut, but this place has become too popular with the student crowd. Its impossible to get an appointment in under two or three weeks. TWO OR THREE WEEKS! I did make an appointment for 3 weeks in the future the last time, but they called me when the stylist was out sick. The only thing they could offer me was a cancellation if something came open.... that or book their first available in two more weeks.PS: I have read some folks are excited they offer straight edge shaves. I got one a couple of years ago and it doesnt compare to a true straight edge shave. At franks, they use a Gillette safety razor for part of the shave. It wasnt very close.

I drive 45 minutes to Franks. I always had 9 am appt on Friday when time for a cut. I was almost there one Friday when I received a call saying the stylist called in sick. This I totally understand. I explained that I drive almost 45 minutes and Im 2 minutes from the salon. I ask was it possible to work me in with someone else? The lady was quick to say that wouldnt happen and my option would be to reschedule. I again explained Im pulling into the parking lot now. She said sir you can reschedule at a later time thats the only option.I had been going there for a while when this happened.I realized they don t care much about customer service. Havent been back!!!
