Bobby Cant, the Pool Repair Guy, and his team just finished resurfacing our residential pool. The pool was 23 years old and was beginning to show its age. They completely stripped the old surface, removed the old tile boarder, prepped the surface, re-tiled the boarder, repaired the damaged areas, and resurfaced the entire pool. The work was excellent! The workers were diligent. They cleaned up after themselves and took extra care at every step. They finished in less than a week. Bobby then visited to regulate the chemical balance and insured the curing process was completed. He included a 10 year guarantee on his team’s workmanship and the product applied carries a 5 year guarantee. Bobby was so great. I called on a Sunday and got a respectful business voicemail. Within an hour Bobby texted me that he was on a job, but because it was an emergency (to me) he gave me helpful advice throughout the afternoon to help me troubleshoot my problem via text. He asked nothing in return. He has won my business here on out. How can you put a dollar figure on a person who truly cares about his craft? If I could give more than 5 stars to this business I would. I also expect at this level of customer service he should be charging above his competitors (I should know, I called 5 other companies who have yet to call me back.).

I recently purchased a home and the seller had a couple of invoices from The Pool Repair Guy. I called and Bobby came right out on the weekend, checked out the pool equipment, showed me how everything worked, discussed some possible upgrades if I was interested. I would steer clear of this company in the future. They repaired the lights on our pool. A few months later the lights were out again. They said they would send someone out and let me know what the cheapest repair cost would be. They did that and gave me an estimate. The next day they wrote and added $45 to the estimate claiming a mistake. The following day, without receiving approval of the estimate from me they sent a repairman to our house. I told him I had not approved the estimate. He put the system back together and left. The next day I received a bill for $50 for the service call. When questioned the owner wrote me an angry note stating that he had not done an estimate, of the repairs and that I owed for his diagnostic work. Im sure their work is fine, but just be aware that they are not doing estimates for repair work, they are going to charge you regardless of whether you hire them to do work or not.

I found this company to be friendly, professional and very fair in their pricing. After shopping several local pool companies, we chose The Pool Repair Guy to do the complete replacement of our filter/pump system and pool light based on their estimates and willingness to provide many options. Were very happy with the equipment and the installation was excellent. Will definitely call them for any future repairs.

Very reliable company with reasonable price and great customer service! I have a vacation home in FL and had a communication issue with my property management company. I am very impressed with the professionalism of this company. From first contact on the phone with Natasha, she was VERY informative and left nothing out that could sneak and up catch us by surprise. She is kind, courteous and very helpful. Our pump was literally screaming, and they were out so quickly and changed it out without a hitch. Willie the technician who did the work was also a very nice guy, he was sure to ask if we had any questions before or after the work was done. It is truly amazing to find a company where the customer is truly a priority. I will definitely spread the word and if we need anything else in their realm of expertise we will call them for sure.

I discovered that my pool pump went out when i got home after work. I had my pool resurfaced 2 years ago by Bobby, so i already knew who to call for the best service. It was after 6pm so I expected that I would have to leave a message. Bobby answered the phone and knew exactly what I needed and quoted the price. The Pool Repair Guy was just what we needed for our pool!In short Bobby the Pool Repair Guy is honest and transparent, keeps the customers interest first by only quoting work that has value and then completes the job with quality and care. Her is how I know…My existing pool service company would not quote me for a small repair job because it was not worth their time and instead tried to sell me on a complete remodel for $8000. I then called Bobby The Pool Guy. He met with me to discuss the repair and carefully explained why the patch job I was asking for would not look good when finished. It was obvious in our discussion that he takes great care in the quality of his work and will not leave the customer with a shabby patch job. Instead, Bobby explained how he could replace most of the tub face (not a full remodel) and still be well within a reasonable budget. He also explained carefully that the price might go up slightly if the granite spillway was not able to be removed in one piece. Finally, since the pool was going to be drained, he also suggested that we do an acid wash of the entire pool. He was completely forthright in that the pool was not going to look new, but was going to get a facelift that would enable me to get another 3 – 5 years before a full remodel would be necessary.Bobby took the time to find the tiles to match our existing. However, when it came time to do the work, they discovered the tiles were not the exact size. His team immediately stopped the job and Bobby met with me again to show me the variance and how they were going to accommodate. It was a great solution. At the same time, he walked me around the pool to explain why the acid wash was going to show little benefit and recommended I save the money. Wow, was that refreshing… a contractor who had the chance to do the job I had already approved, turned it down because it was not going to give me value.They completed the project in a timely manner and for less than $1000. To avoid the risk of extra costs, they patched the leak without removing the spillway. The pool looks great and I avoided an unneeded complete remodel. I highly recommend Bobby The Pool Repair Guy for his quality work and for his principled business practices.

Speedy, professional and reasonably priced service from this company ....heater failed at my rental home - guests very unhappy. Emailed them on a Sunday and within 24 hours heater was fixed - look nowhere else to get any pool related issues resolved!

Unreliable. No communication what so ever. Supposedly showed up to do the work but did not contact me since last week when I asked to confirm and call so we can coordinate. Specifically explained know one would be around to get in contact so I could make sure to have some one there and give access to the things needed. Spoke to the Boss on Friday and he said would be there by 9am. They finally return my messages today at 5PM. Screen shot of rude message he left me included.

Bobby is amazing, I had to puchase a new pool pump and a new pool heater for my home in Davenport. I was so worried that my pool would start to go green I phoned a couple of companies within polk county and they wanted to charge me the earth, being in England its a very stressful time when something goes wrong on your property in florida, then I called Bobby he talked me through the whole process, hes so helpful, efficient, professional, takes photos and sends them too you of the job when its finished. Resufaced my pool and after a month the resurfacing started to chip off. Contacted bobby and he came and said it has nothing to do with the resurfacing. Contacted another resurfacing company which they said the first company did a poor job so i payed double to get it corrected. Bobby never wanted to help.
