We had a great time fishing with Joe. He is very knowledgeable on where to go to catch fish, we landed not only a lot of Bass but some real nice big ones as well. His boat and gear are top notch and you might even learn a little while you are out there.

Joe is the absolute best guide in Florida! The day started with Joe picking me and my wife up from the hotel (his truck and his boat are reaaaaaaaally nice, and super clean!) we headed to a local lake and Joe immediately put us on fish! It was 4 hours of bliss! I’ve been on many guided trips, and I can honestly say, Joe was the most personable guide I have ever met. He was extremely patient with my wife (who doesn’t fish much) and had me in tears from all the funny jokes & stories. This guy is top notch, and way underpriced for the value he delivers. In spite of high pressure post-frontal conditions that included a 30 degree temperature drop, Joe not only put me on a lot of fish, but good fish at that. I caught a couple over 5lbs, one 6lb+ and a 7lb+, all during a 4 hr trip. I’ll be using Joe from now on when I’m in the Orlando area!

I recently had the opportunity to extend a work trip to Florida and do some bass fishing with Joe aka Super Bass Guide. Joe came recommended so I contacted him a couple weeks before my trip. He was very responsive via email and called me the week before to discuss my expectations and any special needs. I need a left-handed reel and he said no problem. We also discussed the use of artificial lures and live bait to catch big bass. We communicated via text message and he let me know the day before when and where to meet. When I arrived Joe already had the boat in the water and was ready to go. Joe’s boat is amazing and his equipment is top notch (Lowrance, Shimano, Daiwa, Boga Grip, etc.). I especially liked the remote-controlled trolling motor that allowed me to fish off the front or back deck and the no gunwale, flat top providing maximum space for fishing! A couple other nice features were an in-floor ice cooler for lunch/drinks and a giant live well for the monster hawgs. Lastly, I noticed at Big Toho Marina that a lot of people know Joe by name.Now for the important stuff: service and fishing. I was worried, as we were post cold front, but Captain Joe provided excellent service and conversation and the bass fishing was the best I have ever experienced. Two half days and around 50 fish up to 7 lbs. The second half day on Toho was especially memorable with the best 5 at ~28.5 lbs and ~80 lbs of fish caught in 3 hours. The consistently large size and numbers was mind blowing!!! In addition, the MLF tour was in town so Joe was pointing out KVD, Iaconelli, Gerald Swindle, and others.
