Every week it’s outage for internet and when people work from home full time you can be productive and pay you all your outrageous prices when every week the internet is down. Time and time again. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT sign up for internet with Charter!! It is the WORSE service I have EVER had!! Each day it goes down for 15-30 mins at a time. I work from home so of course this is not something that I can have happening each day. It will work for a few days in a row but after that, the downtime starts happening again! Several technicians have been to my home even supervisors. They all cannot figure out the issue!! This is TERRIBLE!!

Internet good. Other options like cable and mobile upgrades are not as advertised or told by the associate. I explained my budget and the representative assured me the total bundled price would less than my budget but it was 50% more the first bill. The rep then said it was one time but the second bill was even more. Not good customer service. They refused to listen to the call when I was told otherwise. Not a good experience overall.

Spectrum needs to change their policies. They can only help low income families if your a new customer or havent had internet for 30days. What a joke!!! What about the single mothers & fathers who already have internet & fall on hard times because of covid-19???? They dont help them. I want to be clear. Go to the store the 833 customer service is God awful at least as of 10/31/20. I got hung up on 4 times in 6 phone calls and never got my modem shipped to new place.Go to Spectrum location (I forget its there or I never wouldve called out of state or country cust.service) and as always they are bad azz n get me taken care of asap. That spectrum corporate disconnect from local employees to God knows who they have answering our calls around the world a different story. Its straight trash. Talked to 7 did.people of all kinds of dialects in 10 days got 0 help. BUT local shop is great and their service INCLUDING cell phone service is best combining $/quality....cant Eff with it so....just stay away from. 800#

I was told I could go to their office which was 30 minutes away from me and pick up our router and modem instead of waiting for it to be delivered and when I got there they told us that we couldnt get it so we wasted gas and time driving all the way there!!!

Went to the store to transfer my services to my new place, went very smooth with the guy and I dont have to wait for my equipment like I was told I would have to if I did the order on the phone last night. Seems most of these ratings is for the call center not the people in the store who are more helpful.

I have internet 400 and I consistently have an average of 50-60 internet speed through a WIRED connection. All they tell me is “everything looks good on our end” technicians (though very nice) said we can’t find anything wrong with your internet. I have had 3 different routers and modems and still consistently slow speeds. DON’T GET THIS INTERNET.

This is actually a review for Charter, as a whole.Let me 1st start off by saying, Ive been a loyal customer for 15 years, yes 15. Ive paid in thousands of dollars over these years of my service to call in and be treated horribly.I called in to cancel my cable services and keep the internet. The cable cuts in and out and freezes all the time so, its a waste of money. Considering the new normal, I thought I may just cancel that portion and save a little money. But, oh no, Im 4 days into my current cycle so Ill have to pay for a whole month of shotty service. This small tidbit of information has been on my bill and its totally my fault that I hadnt noticed it. So, I informed them fine...send someone out here to fix it, if youre making me pay for the whole month and cancel it effective my next billing cycle. The manager informed me that he will give no credit and that hed send me back to the right department to get the cancellation set up. Ive now been on the phone 43 minutes and he sent me back where I started. They picked up my 59th minute on the phone and informed me that I would have to call back on exactly 9/11/20 to cancel the cable, as its not something they can set up to do automatically. By this point, Im livid. Ive worked all day and been on the phone 1 hour and 32 minutes after I got home and received nothing in return, besides rude, condescending managers and agents. So, the bill doesnt say you have to call in on that exact date to cancel a service and, if they are going to charge you a whole month again, it should. God forbid I forget to call on 9/11 or they will charge me a whole month again. Seeing as to how they are forcing me to keep the cable that doesnt work, I informed them I want someone out here to fix it. I have an appointment with them tomorrow. So, basically they wasted my time, now Im gonna waste some of theirs to fix a service I will be cancelling.This is not how you do business. To say you are the most reliable is completely false. You dont appreciate your customers any more than you appreciate the people working for you. As in, the agents that have to deliver your squandering policies to the person on the other end of the phone. I will be shopping around, not that you care.To anyone interested in signing up with Spectrum, you had better think twice. I assure you that youll just be a number and your services will be just as unreliable as mine.

Way too,much money for what little our package offers!!!! As they kept increasing costs, I kept trying to downsize to make even keeping cable a possibility. In the end, its just NOT worth all the hassle and money. Dont even get me started on their customer service. I called to simply switch packages. I was on hold for over three hours, transferred to 4 different people, of which the last one hung up on me while I was verifying my information. Seriously!?!? What a joke!!! People should start suing companies like this for false advertising, emotional distress, and pain and suffering.

Be cautious when you make a decision to cancel any of their services. Once the billing cycle changes, the full month is charged regardless of 1 day or 30, no partial months. It is a waste of time talking to them about it. The customer service person and managers keep telling me that I was informed on my billing statement early in 2019 and sorry for the inconvenience. I told them that my inconvenience cost me $69.90 for services I was not getting and their poor service. With all of the other competitors out there, make the change, better prices and services, just watch the billing dates!

Treated very well as a new customer. Spectrum values new customers much more highly than current ones. After my introductory period was over, significant rate increases occurred on a regular basis. Beware, when you cancel that you will be billed for the entire month of your billing cycle regardless of when you cancel, be it the 1st day of the cycle or the last.

I went to this store front/center to inquire about cancelling part of my service. I got my answers quickly. I returned a week later to turn in our cable boxes and they cancelled that part of my service without questions or making other special offers. I then inquired about the streaming service for tv. The young man gave me all the information and even told me to wait if I wanted to sign up for that service I could get a discount.In reading other reviews I do agree the online or over the phone service can be super frustrating and unhelpful. If you can possibly go to a store front and talk to someone face to face I think it works out better!

Pretty much any service through spectrum has a hidden fee attached and a pain to cancel. They hire the most incompetent people in the universe to run their call centers and you have to travel to a spectrum location to make any sort of progress with an issue. Furthermore, what a person tells you over the phone a certain rate may be, won’t be the rate they will tell you when you get to the location. Spectrum is scummy, and doesn’t deserve your business. For your sake, consider other options.

In our old home we liked the service, we moved into a new home 3 miles away and brought our own electronic devices which had worked fine in our home. They hooked us up with new equipment then the issues arose, sitting 10 feet from the modem in the same room we would get messages like connected but no service. Our children had problems obtaining a signal in their rooms in which before they were farther away. Then it showed fair service in both the 3 2g and 5 3 G, we also had problems with the DVR as well recording shows we didn’t want. We called on the Internet first and was told that it was our electronic devices even though they are all newer in the last 2 years and worked fine just 2 months ago in our other home. They wouldn’t even send anyone out. And as far as the TV issues go they wanted to walk me through fixing it but we would have to go in and reschedule all of our shows. I told them no thanks this whole experience had been horrible. The guy told me if we were to cancel the service we better do it soon. So I’m guessing I will be locked into something somewhere. New again, once they have you they do not care but just take your money. Beware and shop around before using these people.

I currently still have Spectrum (2+ year customer), but will be switching over to Holston here shortly to see if they are any better. What can I say internet is consistently slow if it even works at all. Id say about 30 to 40 percent of the time my internet doesnt work at all. When is does work Im supposed to have a gaurentee on the speed of internet which never is what its supposed to be. If you do call and complain and ask for your bill to be compensated (you know because it doesnt work a good 1/3 of the time) youll get about $3 taken off your bill. Complete garbage in that regard, I will not be recommending anyone I know to this company unless they are okay with wasting money on sub par service.

The agents lie, we were left on hold for over 2 hours, and then they just ignored us.Now, thanks to their incompetence, I have no means of being able to work from home (no I can’t just go in to work, it’s mandatory)No work means no money. No money means that I won’t have enough money to pay and yet you guys will still charge me and jump down my throat whenever it comes time to pay the bill. Which we were forced to upgrade to the Ultra plan, which is actually worse than the regular, cheaper, plan.Y’all are the worst, the agents are horrible and unhelpful, and If I didn’t live in Kingsport, I would do absolutely NO business with you guys. Incredibly bad customer service.I tried to set up service. They mailed the modem to the wrong state and address.I called to correct this. Support DEMANDED I pay up front. I explained I was told I didnt have to pay up front and they said they wouldnt ship it otherwise.I transferred to a different department rep who said that she corrected this. She just added ANOTHER second account, but did not ship it.I called to deactivate the other account. They said they did and promised it had already shipped. I was suspicious though because they could not provide a tracking number or shipment confirmation email (which it states in the order confirmation that I should receive).The next day, I checked through online support to see if the order really had shipped. It had not. The previous rep lied. They again said they would not ship until I paid $54.98.I called in. Support promised it will ship today and cannot understand why I was told twice I had to pay up front. This rep said they worked in billing even though I requested transfer to retention.Honestly, Point Broadband goes out a lot but it is only 54.99 for a month at 100MB/s, their customer service isnt trash, and they can actually turn internet on.If the modem has not shipped today I will 100% be going back to them.If youve read this far I suggest you just start with Point Broadband. Its cheaper, easier, and their reps havent lied to me repeatedly.

Mid October my husband who is currently in Afghanistan, was not at the time, and I were looking for cell phone service for us to be able to communicate with one another while he will be gone for a year. We were specifically looking for something that had a good international plan! The day we ordered our cell phones online we were told outbound calls were 2 dollars per minute and inbound call were free.. SO we had the idea that me calling him was FREE, LIKE WE WERE TOLD ON A RECORDED LINE! Which at the time I was like Awesome, I can call him and my kids can call him without being charged. I look at my bill online it is currently $2,200 FOR ONE MONTH! We are furious for the FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and miscommunication this company has. I have spoken to 2 people since starting service and my husband has talked to 1 person while overseas to see what the deal was. Two times we have been told your charged either way, and 2 times we have been told that ME CALLING HIM was free! IF I would have been told the actual Truth from the beginning instead of getting all these different answers I would not have a 2,000 dollar cell phone bill right now that I AM UNABLE TO PAY! SO, Spectrum... THIS will be resolved or you will have a law suit on your hands VERY shortly. I just got off the phone with a Representative who did absolutely nothing for me.... Spectrum currently has a line that is going to cross the property where we are trying to get power.this is private property Spectrum does not have permission for the line to be across the property they are also not being cooperative with removing this line. Basically I have a home that unfortunately I am not allowed to live in that currently has running water with temperatures getting lower risk the potential of the water lines busting because there is no heat in the home. I was told when I went to Spectrum today that it was not a top priority that there were other jobs that took presidents over this well also been told a couple of days prior that it would be two full weeks with the risk of snow coming on. This is absolutely not acceptable and due to this will never do any sort of business with this company.

Well we were just changing our equipment out. We set up an appointment for a technician to come out between 1 and 2. They never showed. Set a new appointment for 8 and 9. No call no show agian. Then they set an appointment without asking us for 6 PM the following day. Craziest thing Ive ever seen Amy company do. And when you call them they have no answers for any of it. So hey classic cable company behavior I guess. I would have just picked up the new equipment and hooked it up myself. The last time I did that they gave me a faulty cord that caused the internet to cut in and out constantly. My girlfriend uses it for work so I thought it best to let them do it. But they dont seem to be able to get out to do the 5 minute job. Maybe they should think about hiring more technicians to do the job or pay them better so they have more incentive to be there when the appointments are set. It can really be summed up by saying they dont do what they promise to do. So thats bad buisness

I dont want to even re live it here. 1 they had no record of my payment last month. Had to pay it again and just disputed the old one with my bank to keep things moving. I started a new account and was at same address as a previous account I had there. 4 hours later and 6 people later just went to office vs over the phone. Gave modem back. They gave me exact model back. Company sucks. But, they are only game in town. Travesty, that monopolies like them and power company are allowed to make everything difficult. They create another company that charges you to use a card for payment. So, instead of absorbing a 2% courtesy they create a 6% add on. You are just a number and the experience is worse that going to a dentist.

We have had 5 service techs assess the reason why our new box keeps losing signal. We were told it was a glitch in the new boxes and there is no way to know when it will be fixed. We can never watch a show all the way through but are still having to pay way over full price for service because unknown charges keep adding up even though they say the service calls are free, they are being added in. Awful customer service. Way overpriced.

Spectrum had the best service I have ever had, and the internet service is fast and reliable. Any issue is resolved in great timing, if I have an issue, which is rare. Ive never had to pay for spectrum issues to be fixed either. I will never go with any other service as long as I can get charter spectrum.

I’d give zero stars if I could. I signed up for spectrum internet yesterday and had a technician come out. Before the technician even came out and service was scheduled the issues with this company started. The first sales representative I spoke to said I had to pay 49.99 for installation and my first bill up front. I was confused but said ok. Then her computer wasn’t working so she sent me to billing, where I was told that I do not have to pay for installation because I am a new customer, but she had trouble pulling up my account because the sales person who repeated my information back to me for verification had still entered it incorrectly! So once the billing lady is able to pull up my account she says she will waive the installation fee and that I do not have to pay up front and a technician will be out in a few hours, cool! Then the technician comes and while he’s there installing the internet I get an email saying my bill is 70$!!! It has a charge for the installation on it. When he leaves I call customer service and sit on hold and am transferred multiple times just for someone to say oh I’ll credit the account, whatever idc do what needs to be done. Then today I check and instead of crediting the account he CHARGED the account so now my bill is HIGHER than yesterday. So now I get in my car and drive 30 minutes to the closest store, this store, only to be told they don’t do customer service only sales but she recommended I call and sit on the phone for another 4 hours like yesterday. All these issues in a 24 hour time period, I am THOROUGHLY UNIMPRESSED already with this company. If my account doesn’t get fixed I will be taking the equipment back in and calling a lawyer if I get charged for people not being able to do their jobs!

I had Internet only for about 3+ years with Charter. I always had great service. Price never rose except for when the intro 12-months rate was over. Moving out of the area today. Sorry I cant get Charter at my new place.

Good: Internet speed.Discounts if you call on day of an outage and request it.First 12 months OK Internet prices. Forget it after that.Bad: planned upgrades and outages are not notified to customers ahead of time and was told by customer service to check website which I cant do if my Internet is already out!Got lots of calls trying to get me to upgrade my services the whole time I had them.Go to move and have to close my account and Im fighting to get my equipment back to them. The after hours equipment drop off doesnt exist although they say it does. Supposedly sent me a box that never arrived to send it back. Now getting charges since I didnt return it on time.

Like all cable companies a decent price the first year and then unreasonable rates the second year. This cable company has a problem even worse than others. They cannot get your bill correct.
