I am SO sick of calling to report missed pickups. I shouldve switched companies when the rest of my neighbors did months ago. The only thing theyre consistent with is increasing rates and consistently NOT picking up my trash. Im done paying for a service I never receive. I was 1 of only 2 houses left on my street using Republic. The last house on my street using this company will likely see even more missed pickups since there is 1 less reason to come down my road. Im sure theyll be switching soon also. Goodbye and good riddance.

1.Missed pick ups for a month2.poor customer service, no one answers the phone call properly and never follow up.3. Contract is over therefore I canceled the service, they said they would come pick up their dumpster but for 2 months it’s still sitting there and still waiting for them to come and pick it up.4.I still get the stupid bills monthly which I won’t pay as I don’t get any service from them.5. Whoever wants to contract them DO NOT waste your money and time. They are the worst trash removal company ever.

Our company has moved to Republic due to lingering issues with previous haulers. Their sales and support team has always been extremely helpful and they do a great job reaching out when pick-ups are missed to prepare accordingly. We never have to chase them down as theyre always proactive.
Weve worked with them in the BFI days. Sure you can find something to complain about with any service company. But theyre easy to talk to, they follow through if there is a concern. Its been a good experience.
We used Republic services at our previous home and signed up at our new address. It started off bad and has gotten worse. I signed up they charged my Cc $265.00. Drop off was supposed to be August 4th and trash pick up was to start August 11th. That did not happen. After several calls they dropped off cans August 11th and started trash service on August 18th. We found out we had to pay additional to have anything more then 1 trash can 1 recycling can and then 3 bags. We added additional bags which we paid for . Today we added 7 bags and paid for them ahead of time once again they didn’t pick them up. We just received our bill and they charged up starting GB on august 4th. We will be canceling our republic service since we have about 15 other options. Horrible horrible horrible can’t say it enough. Don’t us REPUBLIC SERVICES

When I signed up with Repbulic Services I was told I was being given a discount at an annual rate. At this time I received an additional bill just two months later. I contacted Republic Services where I was told that they only bill on a quarterly schedule, this changed the total price significantly. Republic Services apologized for the miscommunication but the price did not change. Collectively we agreed that reducing my service from two trash containers to one trash container would reduce my bill. At this point of time they took both trash containers. Now I am battling with Republic Services as they are still charging me for service though I have no containers for pick up. As I requested to cancel my service they are unable to provide anything in writing and continue to send bills.If you are looking for lip service - Republic Services is the place to goPros - Never missed a pick up
These guys are terrible. We went from pickup 2x per week down to 1x per week, and now they postpone us an entire week every time we get an inch of snow. To make matters worse, their communication is so inconsistent that trash and recycling are frequently out at the curb before the pickup is actually cancelled. I dont understand how a service company in the northeast isnt prepared to handle inclement weather better than this.EDIT: They showed up today with no warning, even though I was literally on the phone with them three times since last week. Had I not been standing in my driveway, we would have lost another week.
This past summer I contacted Matthew Montgomery at Republic Services for trash and recycling at our business in Broomall. Matt was very responsive, friendly and professional. He listened to our pricing issues and concerns and was very competitive. I highly recommend Republic Services as a great business to deal with.

Our company switched to Republic after being ripped off by Waste Mgt for years. Our salesman, Matt Montgomery, was extremely professional and courteous and responsive. The price is much lower and we receive better service. We never ever heard from our Wast Mgt salesperson, I have no idea who it even was. But Matt actually checks in from time to time. We could not be happier. And we are saving 40% vs. Waste Mgt.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!! This company will lie to you and change your rate anytime that want. They charge you up front for a quarter and charge you a late fee of 30 plus dollars if your quarter plus 20 day prepay isnt on time. They will spend hour on the phone talking to no one that can or will help you. They will put you on hold for as long as you will stay on the line then hang up on you to get rid of you. They have cheated me more than once for large amounts of money saying someone will call me back to refund but never a call. Customer service smells worse than the stuff I put out in the cans .

I would rather eat my trash than to ever have to call these guys again for service. Horrible experience with a residential account years ago and only recently had to use them for my commercial account because they bought out the local company we had used for years.
Stay away from them... My quarterly rate went from $67 to $144 overnight with no notification. They claimed they have the right to increase price which is fine but for the same service other companies are providing for $69, it is not worth it.. Customer service was not so great.. so just stay away
When I first called to sign up I was hopeful, $68 a quarter was the price.. then they go on and and by the time the call was over it was $172 for admin fees and to drop the bins off ($35 a piece) to set up the account, this is in April. I figured Id just take it and hopefully from here on out the rate would be the $68 as promised from there on out. Then in July I get charged $68 which is the agreed rate, awesome.. then in October I get charged $158.. When I cancelled they wanted to charge $35 per bin to pick them up.. I told them they are welcome to take them, but Im not paying for it, otherwise Ill drop them off 3 minutes down the road at the Republic office on my own. I switched to Whitetail, they charged $69 flat at setup, no admin fees or drop off fees for the bins.. Dont deal with this company if you can avoid it. They are great at charging you more money than the rate they set you up at. Theyre not very consistent with pickups though, been plenty of times either trash or recycling stayed for an extra week.
I canceled Republic on 7/3/19 and have so far scheduled five appointments with them to pick up their container. Republic assured me they would pick it up today (8/21/19), they assured me today they would pick it up on 8/28/19. I have a feeling that on 8/28 they will assure me they will pick it up on 9/3. I cannot believe how inept and incompetent this company is.
Be careful especially you have auto payment setup... they may silently increase your rate a little bit, then, if success, then ... double... my experience is $75 for 3 months, then 85... then suddenly 170+... They wont refund you anyway. be nice to yourself and make a right choice!
This company is a joke we originally signed up with them and it was $68 a quarter randomly after a two years they started charging us $180. I called and spoke with a representative and they wouldn’t refund us the difference. They did drop our price down to $80 I just got a bill in the mail for $130! Awful company wish I could give them no stars! Scammers! Be aware!
Been using Republic Services since I moved into my house in February 2016. Occasional missed pickup but no real problems. My last invoice is now 130% higher than the last one. I called to get an explanation because an increase of nearly $100 for the same service must be a mistake right? Well the first explanation was we increased the rate in the area period so I moved up to a supervisor and am told I can get a promotional rate which is basically what I was paying now. So he says my account updated and thats that. But then I get an email saying my payment is scheduled at the higher rate, so I call again. The first operator put me on hold to review the notes and then pushed me to someone else (always a good sign). There I was told that number he told you was only for trash so your bill should only be 60% higher instead of 130%. I asked them to review my previous phone calls and was told they would get back to me in a day or so. So in that time I called a different trash company that has a flat rate for the same service cheaper than what I was paying so I signed up with them. I call Republic back to cancel my service which should be simple seems like people cancel their service all the time based on my street. Im told I have to call back on the 20th of the next month to square away my account, wait a minute so youre telling me to let my bill for the next service period go delinquent and call back to make sure I get my late fee removed and can pay my bill to get my bins picked up which is somehow $48. I will make sure to tell my neighbors to keep an eye on their bills since Republic is a predatory business that relies on people not paying attention to their rate changes. Hopefully I dont need to update this review in a month to say my billing is all screwed up because I followed their instructions.
Worse customer service ever. The cost increased every billing cycle. I asked for an itemized bill and they never Sent one. I cancelled their service and went with another company. I had the original contract with them. They tried to tell me it was a $36.96 charge to pick up the cans. The contract said it was free. Had to argue and even take a pick of the contract and send to them. Finally they dropped the charges to find out that they just recharge me the next cycle and told me they will send this to collections. Way to violate a contract and be shady about it. I will never recommend this company to anyone!!!!!
Terrible customer service. I moved into my new home 6 weeks ago, and the prior owner had used Republic Services and had canceled his service prior to settlement. They were supposed to pick up the bins at that time. Several phone calls and 6 weeks later, these unsightly bins are still in front of my house. Every time I call they keep fobbing me off, saying that either the account was still open (it certainly was not), the pickup never was scheduled, or it was scheduled incorrectly, or the guys must have just missed it, or some other complete nonsense. Completely untrustworthy. Their behavior has ensured that I never will use their service, and I would discourage anyone else from using their service.
Pickup and removal service were fine. The billing was ridiculous kept raising the rates. Goto cancel and the give you a better rate, but it doesn’t last. Wouldn’t recommend.

Long time customer. I cancelled service because of the rate increase and have been fighting them for over 4 months because Republic wants to charge me a $52.62 container REMOVAL fee??!?! Spoke with an agent, yet again today, and she informed me that The Division made a decision to not remove this charge. When I asked to speak to The Division she said they dont have numbers.....I dont know what kind of business this is, but to not be able to speak to someone who can properly address my concerns or do anything about them, is ludicrous! Ive Never signed a contract and never agreed to a removal fee.
Cancelled service more than 2 months ago. Cant get them to remove a 2 yard dumpster from my property. Calling weekly. Told its on the schedule then they dont pick it up. Ive been doing this now for 2 months. Worst service Ive ever had.
The WORST experience ever! I prepaid for a year of service. 8 months in and they claim that I owe them money because of tremendous rate increases! $500 a quarter. WOW Thats what this clown was trying to sell me.Unbelievable. Essentially Republic STOLE $100.
Terrible garbage disposal company. After continuously raising my bill every quarter ridiculous amounts and missed pickups, I cancelled my service. I had recently paid my bill and the company owed me over $100. I have contacted Republic Services multiple times asking for a refund each time a representative says the check has not been processed but they will make sure it gets processed. I still have not received a refund. Additionally, they charged me $60 to pick up thier trash cans which I was not informed of when I started service with them. Do not give Republic Services any more business they should be investigated for fraudulent billing and have terrible customer service.
I cancelled my service on 9/24 and was told they would pickup my containers on 10/5/18 and they are still sitting in my driveway. I keep calling and Im being told there is no ETA for when they are going to pick them up. They are so busy picking up containers because the raised their prices so much and everyone is cancelling. Now Im getting emails saying I owe them $30.00 for picking up the containers on 10/5/18. There is no way Im going to pay for picking up the containers. If they pick them up. They are trying trick people into paying because they are losing so much money because of all the cancellations. DO NOT USE REPUBLIC SERVICES. CANCEL IF YOU ARE STILL USING THEM!!

If I could pick zero stars I would. Worst company ever. Monthly the fees go up, half the time you cant get anyone on the phone, and when you do they dont care. I cancelled my service and was told I was getting a refund of about $65 and now today SUDDENLY that changed to $17. The girl on the phone was not helpful and repeated herself and told me read the invoice. I explained to her that 2 different people told me Id be getting a $65 refund and she pretty much had nothing to say other than there are fees. Seriously, do yourself a favor and dont use this company.
Do NOT sign with this company. My HOA uses Republic and this company frequently misses collecting my trash despite the fact that it is sitting in a can at the curb. Or they take the bag on top out and leave the rest of the trash on the bottom of the can. Each time I call and am told they will send someone out and often my trash sits until the next scheduled pick up. Since today is Friday and they did not take my trash, they wont send a truck out until Monday. I now have to store my week old trash which has been sitting out for 12 hrs back in my garage. Complete laziness and unacceptable service. Shame on our HOA if they sign another contract with this company.
Horrible service from failure to pickup on regular dates to terrible service when calling in to get things corrected.- Republic switched from 2 days a week to 1 day a week after increasing the rate 60% in 2 years. Republic said the value in the switch to once a week was that bulk pickup would be free.-- The bulk pickup needs to be scheduled and THEY NEVER COME ON THE SCHEDULED DAY. This happened multiple times-- The bulk pickup is for 1 item only a month-- Bulk pickup on covers a very limited number of items- Pickup the last 3 weeks didnt happen on the scheduled date- Last week, after calling for the 10th time in a month, the trash was supposed to be picked up by Saturday. Didnt happen of course- Weve canceled serviceDO NOT....DO NOT....use Republic Services

Everything about this company is crooked. Low price for 3 months and then the price goes up every quarter hoping you don’t notice. Admin and customer service is terrible. Canceled months ago and still receiving invoices. Hidden fees everywhere!
Let me count the ways that I dislike Republic. Unreliable service, missed service, automatic price hikes every year, fuel surcharges have been added without advance notification, the dumpster they gave me is damaged, dented and rusty, with no way to secure the lid closed, but Republic refuses to repair or replace their equipment.I have politely complained and tried to cancel my contract with this company because of these ongoing problems, but they require that the customer provide a written notice of cancellation, sent via Certified Letter at least thirty days before end date of contract. I have done so and Im anxiously awaiting the termination of my relationship with Republic in Spring of 2018.
Such a nasty manager working here.i had an interview for work and I was surprised when he asked me where I learned English!! I knew it right away that they wont hire me. I replied that I speak 5 fluently and also I have a law degree back in where I came from. He was surprised then went criticizing his Asian wife saying that shes also an emigrant and her English is soso!! I guess hes with her for something else. He also put a mark to my profile on every position I applied for through Republic Services website or Indeed app.Mrs bald guy,youre not worth working for such company & at least another driver who comes to a mechanic shop next my house to take their garbage for cash money. Ive seen him many times and I have a couple videos evidences doing that.As always, untrustworthy people in the wrong place. I guess they know how get away since RS is worth billions of dollars and they dont care for such behaviors.

Deceptive billing practices!! When you cancel their absolutely lousy service, they will not put in the system so you need to call several times to cancel & have them pick up container. Later I get a $100.00 bill & letter threatening collections if not paid. I know others have had this issue.
Bills continued to rise and services continued to be reduced. When I moved south last year, they tried to charge me a ridiculously excessive fee to pickup my three cans. I contested the charge with them since I had no contractural or verbal agreement with them to pay this fee. I fought with them and I won! If you are planning to cancel services with them, DON’T agree to pay this fee, even if they threaten to turn it over to collections or damage your credit.
I worked there 15 years ago when it was allied waste. Things must have changed. Pretty good company to work for back then. Customer service was always top priority.
This business is a total rip off. First of all, our bills went up every couple of months. Eventually, our bill becomes $527.19 for a $155 contract, because of the automatic renewal, which has no consumer protection whatsoever. I called to cancel our ridiculous service. When I got the call from the sales rep, he was rude and threatening for termination damage. Come on, I havent asked for the 2 years double to triple payment back!! I would stay away from business like this for all cost.
A truly awful company to deal with. They are the comcast of trash. Theyve hiked prices dramatically over the past 12 months without informing me. I recently cancelled service and theyve yet to come and pick up their trash cans despite charging me for it.

I just received a bill for $55 a month for one pickup a week, which often times doesn’t get picked up for a day or two after my service date. Do not use autopay because they will charge you an insane amount and when you call they can’t explain all the fees and won’t give you back your money. I am canceling my service.
The worst trash company. Every week it is either they dont pick up the trash or they dont pick the up the recycles. If you try calling them you no one answers the phone. They are cheaper but what good are they if they dont pick up the trash????
Garbage service. As in, the service they provide is utter garbage. They said they’d drop off trash and recycling bins on 6/9 - they never showed. On 6/10, they said they’d be delivered today. On 6/11, they said they’d be delivered today. On 6/12, they said they’d be delivered today. Still don’t have them and the customer service person had no clear explanation or apology.

This company has overcharged us on a signed contract for two years. I noticed that our bill started going up every quarter, while the services included (such as one free bulk item per week) were being cut. I thought something was odd because I knew wed signed a three-year rate lock contract and the bill should not have been going up like that. When I pulled it out to review I discovered we have been billed anywhere from $42 to $67 per quarter more than our contract states. We were promised a refund for the overcharges, but after 60 days we got nothing. I called to inquire and now the company is reneging on their promise. We are owed $363 in overcharges; they are offering us $34. Unacceptable.

I was a long-time customer, and all of a sudden, Republic trlpled the residential trash and recycling rate for service once a week. On several occasions, I requested a rate reduction, but the reduction I finally received still put Republic’s rate considerably above competitors’ rates.I threw in the towel and switched to Waste Management.
I went to their office and rang the bell for 30 minutes and nobody showed up.
Dont use this company. Three times I rescheduled pick up after a missed pick up and they never came. Stay away!
