Don’t ever go here! Paid like 2500 to redo my entire AC system. AC went out a month right after my 2 year warranty and they could not help me in any way. Additionally I paid for them to do a AC diagnosis and they said I needed to replace my entire car AC kit AGAIN. A car shouldn’t need all new AC components every 2 years! Took it to a different mechanic. Found out that the rubber portion of the compressor was torn up and that’s why the AC compressor was not engaging. Replaced just the compressor and ac works great with proper pressure readings. The other mechanic I went to said the part that Phil’s service put in was some aftermarket part and he’s never seen some trash like that. Anyways saved over 1000$ elsewhere and the ac compressor I have now has a lifetime warranty. This place is either purposely trying to oversell customers or they just have some really bad mechanics. The ac compressor in my car was so torn up, how did they miss that. Just do not go here!

I would definitely bring my car here again!! The customer service lady at the front was kind and although people were busy in the back they did not behave unprofessionally. My car is also happy. They did a good job with the oil change but even went the extra mile to check out the rest of the car when I had questions which eased any concerns I had. Will visit again!!

I have used Phil’s Service in the past and recall the experience of customer service being very hospitable and respectful. They treat you more like family as opposed to a customer. I am very confident and comfortable with the service here because they go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. I haven’t been here in a while because I have been out of the area, but just booked another appointment. I would highly recommend their service.

The ONLY reason I gave them 1star is because the customers was extremely good. However, I went in for a $7 inspection and was told i needed work done that was $135 to pass and it was recommended that I get my new brakes replaced🤨🤔 for a almost $800 (my guy did it for 450) so I take it to my mechanic (he doesnt do inspections) he stopped what he was doing to help me and told me if I wanted him flush it would be $80 but it looked fine so he topped of the fluid i needed for free and sent me on my way ...took 3mins. Now, if it was recommended by Phils to flush the fluid and IF they were honest with me I would have given them 5 stars. But to dishonestly try to money out of people pockets is just wrong. Im not sure if they do good work but the lack of moral integrity ensured that I will never give them my business. After reading the reviews( which I normally do ahead of time but the was something so small) im not the only one being lied to and over charged. Sad really.

The oil change process was quick and easy. The staff is friendly and the waiting area is clean. Ill definitely be coming back for my next oil change.

The service here was very home like and the people at the counter are very patient and attentive, I went in for an alignment ans they notified me it would of been a waste due to my aging parts when they could of just took my money and let me go on about my day. I really appreciated that and was only charged for the inspection fee of the parts.

Best service Ive had in the Killeen area. I went in to have my driver side window repaired and they were very helpful in fixing the issue. They also did a maintenance check, sent me pictures of concerns, and were very proactive while waiting for the pieces to arrive to fix my window. They did all that for me in less than 3 hours, WITHOUT an appointment. Customer service/front desk was very informative, courteous, professional, and friendly. From start to finish I had no complaints with the service here at Phils.

Worst experience EVER!!! I was told my car would be ready by the end of day yesterday and here it is 123pm the next day and Im being told that my car is just now up to be seen. Apparently come Saturday they skip over the cars from the previous week to do the cars that come in Saturday morning. Nobody informed me of this and all they can keep telling me is I wasnt here when Joe set this up. They also are very unprofessional. I wouldnt recommend them EVER! VERY SLOW!!!

Never ever go to this place. They will rip you off! They claim issues that dont even exist. Customer service is laughable at best. They wont let you speak with the mechanic! While waiting for a diagnosis on our car, we watched as 5 other people where told issues where wrong w there car that didnt exist. We where changed a 2 different diagnosis changes and we went it telling the customer service lady we knew what was wrong. Trying to change us 800 for a fix that is less than 300 other places. Then on top of that said 7 other things where wrong that arent. Run from this place.... Its a business ran by theifs!!!

Simply amazing service! I had quite a low budget and they pulled some strings to make sure my truck was up and running in just a couple days! They cater to your financial areas and make sure you are happy when you leave! Will definitely be coming back (hoping i never need too😂)

Absolute worst experience with a shop I have ever had. I paid for a diagnosis on my horn and then had to pay more for an ACTUAL diagnosis because they didnt find the problem with the first diagnostic. I ended up paying over 200 dollars for zero actual work. Now that I know what needs to be done on the car I will never go back. It should not take four hours to look behind the steering wheel, but thats what I paid for. When I asked to speak to the mechanic, I was told that they couldnt be bothered and that I have to just go with what I was told. Avoid this place like the plague.

I’ve been doing all my vehicle inspections at Phil’s for years and I’ve never been disappointed.. Here is were I also carry my BMW (because they are certified to work on this German vehicle) for services and I’ll take it no where else. At Phil’s you get the “mom and pop” treatment where everyone is invited and they make you feel right at home. The city of Killeen is my home and I have many options for vehicle services but Phil’s the only place I’ll go...Also the coffee is always fresh and hot

Be forewarned that you will get charged $32 whether you get the alignment or the service tech feels it is unnecessary. They are scrupulous to notice other needed mechanical failures. The ladies are wonderfully hospitable at the fromt!

Whenever I select a business to patronize, good Customer Service is meaningful to me. I found this to be the case with Phil’s Service from my initial phone contact to the actual in person contact. Great phone etiquette with excellent listening and feedback during the initial phone call. Though, I was not given an estimated time for completion, I feel that the work was completed in a reasonable time, and that I experienced fair pricing for work done. I would and have already recommended Phil’s Service without reservation.I would not hesitate to do business with Phil’s in the future.💯 ☮️&💟

This place is a joke. They completely ripped me off, I never write reviews but this time I had too so other people wouldn’t waste their money or time.They completely stole my money and didn’t fix the issue with my car, not just that but the costumer service was horrible.

Phew, it is hot in Texas. My wife an I drove to Texas from Washington State to visit our grandchildren, and our air conditioning died. We visited Phils Service, they did an excellent job helping us with our problem. They were professional, courteous, and willing to go the extra mile to fix our a/c at a fair price. Our air conditioning is awesome now and I owe it all to the team at Phils Service. Two individuals that did an awesome job are Heather and Mike, I want to make sure that they are noticed for their outstanding work and customer service.

Untrustworthy and unprofessional.Do not bring your car here. I called to confirm they could do the work on my car. They promised the world of course and told me to bring it in they would have all the work done by end of day.Brought the car in dropped it off. Uber home ($15). Get a call 2 hours later stating they are closing due to weather and I need to pick up my car. They did not even look at my car or work on it. Uber back to get my car ($15).After I called them out on them telling me to bring my car in they said “I don’t appreciate your attitude “.Bottom line: spent $30, wasted 3 hours, didn’t get my car worked on and they gave me disrespect.

Great experience with the staff at Phil’s they are very professional and knowledgeable as well. Go see Reeva and the staff they will take care of you and your vehicle issues the right way the first time. They also gave me a Veterans discount as well, salute to them.

Wouldve given zero stars but obviously cant do that. I called to get a price on a tune up & the woman who answered the phone told me that they start @ $99. Which is cool. But then she proceeds to tell me that I have to bring my vehicle there so she can get some info to give me the so called exact amount of a tune up. I asked what info she needed & why I had to bring my vehicle there just to get a price on a tune up. She said well like I said I have to have the vehicle here. So i just hung up while she was still talking. Never in my life have I been told to bring my vehicle in for a price on a tune up. All you need is the make & model of the vehicle. Some will ask for a VIN #. Which of course I have.

The staff here are very professional! I had several questions about the strange things my car was doing and they patiently answered all of them! Turn around time was phenomenal- there were at least 5 cars ahead of mine when I turned it in for an appointment. All 4 of my issues were resolved by the next day. Even though it is in downtown Killeen (some areas are better than others), their establishment is very clean and secure. I felt safe leaving my car there overnight. They will also work with you if something comes up and you cant pick your vehicle up on time! I would highly recommend anyone to Phils Service!

Let me start with i am a lady who puts gas in my car and goes.!my check engine light came on, and i was worried. i stopped in phils and they were great! Hether and Kevin were nothing but nice, they broke down the cause of my light in to terms i was able to grasp. thenk you guys for all your help!

Went in to attempt to get the vvti gasket changed on my car was talked into a diagnostic of my car. After car was diagnosed agent adv of control arms but neglected to mention shocks struts, split sway links, front seal leak or valve cover leak. Paid for inspection received guesses based on milage and a steering wheel shake

Been to this place over 15 times, and always had great service. Prices are reasonable, and definitely convenient when I need to get my vehicle re-registered. Definitely worth giving them a try if youre new to the Killeen area.

About a month ago, I took my car here because there are no car shops open on a Saturday in my town. My boyfriend told them my tire rods need fixing, but then they told me it was wheel bearings and control arms. They charged me a whopping $1800 for repairs, but recently my brake warnings came on. I took my car to another shop and they told me Phils ripped me off. The problem was my tire rods after all and I was lucky my wheel didnt fall off! This is a shop I wish I never ever visited to waste $1800. They didnt even install the control arms correctly and left a bolt unattached. This is unacceptable service and I do not recommend this shop to anyone.

Definitely will not return. I was quoted one price for and when the work was in progress the price became much higher. This despite the fact they made what they claimed was a through inspection and diagnostic of the problems with my car before the work began. Really this place deserves no stars at all.

This shop is truly Killeens best kept secret in automotive. The staff is very friendly and upholds the highest level of professionalism. The work they do is at an unbeatable value. Repairs are completed in a timely manner and done right the first time. The staff explained the problems with my vehicle in a way that was easy for me to understand exactly what was going on and what we needed to do in order to fix the problem. This is the best shop that I have been to in the Killeen area. There front staff is knowledgeable and you can tell they are willing to help you with your vehicle needs. I have had them do service for me on my truck and I have recommended them to my friends. They fixed our vehicles in a timely matter and you get exactly the service that you asked for and need. If something else is wrong they call you immediately and let you know and ASK you what you want to do. The price is not bad. Like I said you get what you pay for, quality service. Please dont go here1st they told me to get my harmonic balancer(crank pulley) replaced and a coolant flush it would cost $6002nd I told them I had a V8 and not a V6 first time I talked to them about fixing my car later they say I told them I had a V6 and they found out I actually have a V8 and for this the price jumps from $600 to $12203rd the coolant was leaking from my car after job and car never had coolant leak before taking it to this shop4th I firmly believe I got taken advantage of and more money went into labor than the cost of anything else combined5th very disappointed in myself for trusting this business will gladly never come back, be careful and stay safe

I had camshaft issue with my 4runner that Toyota dealership could not fix after I had sunk over $1,000. Phil’s Service was able to accurately diagnose the issue and fix it completely. The price is very reasonable and I would recommend this place.

I had a handful of issues with my vehicle and they took care of it all and pretty fast actually. It had to be towed there, sent to a dealership for a recall issue and back to their shop all without me needing to be there which was very convenient. Picked it up and realized I forgot I wanted to get an additional service done and came back the next day and it was taken care of all while they were being friendly, fast and helpful. Their great Communication was far better than almost anywhere else I’ve been.

I called this morning and Joe answered the phone with a very professional voice. And he also advised me on my service needs. The facility was clean and a great place to do business and tries to help the customer as much as possible. This is a good place for services on your vehicle. I will definitely be returning and do more business with Phils Service.

Reeva was very helpful in answering my questions. Both she and one of their technicians checked out a couple things on my vehicle I had questions about without charge. When I actually had work done on my vehicle the price was reasonable, and I know they did a good job.

Honestly wasn’t really that happy about the overall service at the veterans location but their saving grace was Mike. It would be 1 star if it wasn’t for mike. Rookie mistakes were made while doing my alignment but mike was quick to jump in and fix it after I pointed it out. I think mike was an outstanding guy and I’d go back if I knew he was the only guy touching my vehicles. As far as the other 2 employees we one guy has a lot to learn still and that’s ok we all start somewhere I’m just happy you didn’t try to make a left turn on my truck when you test drove it.

Phil’s service has been my GoTo for all of my Truck maintenance since moving to Texas. They have treated me well and with respect. I have recommended them to my friends and colleagues.

I don’t know anything about cars. My car was having issues with the steering wheel making a noise, so I thought it just needed an alignment. When I took it in, they asked me a series of questions, then let me know up front what the cost would be. Come to find out my steering coupler needed to be replaced. They were very upfront with the cost, and fixed it the next business day. They were very prompt, courteous and they called me as soon as my car was finished. When I drove my car it felt like it did when I first bought it. I felt so relieved it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg to get it fix. I have a few more things that will need to get replaced on my car and I will definitely go back to have them work on it for me.

Glad I found Phils! Had to get the flex plate replaced and I called everyone in town. Phils had the best deal, part & labor. They had everyone beat by $100. Its been a couple of months and no issues, whatsoever. Quality work!! I also like that they offered their own warranty, as long as they provide part & labor. Very good at communicating with me during the whole process and they even gave me & my toddler a ride when the job was done. Thank you so much everyone at Phils Auto Service!!

Brought in our vehicle for an engine replacement. After being there for roughly two weeks we were told that they couldn’t do it because it is a hybrid and they didn’t have the proper tools or have a mechanic certified to work on it. After charging us $129 for an engine inspection and valve cover removal mind you. This should have been said before we wasted each others time and the car sat for all this time. I will never recommend this shop to anyone.

Took almost 3 hours to repair a single flat tire and tried to charge me 60 dollars. never gonna waist time coming here again

My Sister referred me to this place, said they were very polite and attentive. It’s hard to find an honest car repair place now a days. We grew up having our dad work on our cars, so living in another state it has been difficult getting honest efficient work done. Right away the attentiveness and customer service was great. Prices are right and work has been great. I recommend and will return for my car needs.

HORRIBLE service, called ahead of time about the car that was in the shop for a couple of months. getting fixed as i thought. lady on the phone said to come that its fixed. went up there to pick it up. told us to get out cause they were about to close, asked the man if we can test the car before driving off. they said no, guy pulls up and car turns off not even 5 secs after he pulls up. Guy says he had to jump start the car when he drove it up. Said this AFTER we paid for it. said theirs no refund,.lady on the phone says i said it was fixable not driveable nothing they could do. dont recomend, test drive before taking off. car would turn on before taking it here. now it wont turn on,.

The lady on the phone is very unprofessional. I made an appointment at 3:30 pm, she told me that her tech wont have enough time to look at my truck. Therefore, I should bring it in first thing in the morning the following day. I was there at 7:45 am checked in at 8:00am soon as they open and then waited for my ride until around 8:30 am. When left, my truck was still out and thats what made me curious, I drove by at 11:30 my truck wasnt touched yet, I gain drove by around 12:30, the truck was still on the same spot I parked it. I decided to call, but the lady didnt pick up the phone as she always does. Instead, she let another dude pick up, who lied to me that my truck was next in line. I called again around 3:00 pm, my truck was still next in line. Eventually, the lady called me around 5:00 pm, half an hour to closing, and informed me without any apologies whatever that her lead tech wasnt available to look at my truck and it should be ready by the following day between 9-11am. Now, the tuck that needed to be looked at for 8-10 hours is gonna be ready waiting the next hour the following day. The lady was very rude telling me that my truck has a lot of issues and need more time. I lost it, went and took my truck. NEVER going back there again.

The personnel and technician were knowledgeable of the Assembled Vehicle inspection requirements. The items noted were appropriate. I appreciate the offer to fix the one item that would fail the vehicle. The price of the inspection and the remedial work was reasonable.

Needed front end and brake service for our Nieces Charger. Selected Phils from Google and Facebook reviews. Not disappointed. Very understanding and helpful service at the customer counter. Very efficient and well kept service bays. Impressive shop to an old shade tree wrench like me. Indicates a good degree of professionalism and they didnt let us down. They serviced her car and did exactly what we wanted without trying to do more than what was needed or overcharging for their work. We recommended that she return there for all her service needs. Couldnt be more tickled if theyd used a feather.

Requested an appointment online about an alignment, received a notification that someone would be following up about appointment. No message, text or call ever happened. Have no idea what theyre like.

I went here for an alignment and was told I needed several parts I didnt need.... strut springs were allegedly collapsed, but the tech failed to realize that the struts on it were deep struts.. . Supposedly bad tie rod ends and ball joints.... all good.... on top of that they charged $27 to tell me I needed these things..... bad business, just try to upsell you on parts you dont need.....I would leave negative stars if I could

From a new seat belt to a radiator to the throttle body cleaning theyve always done me right and N between the services I have taken my vehicle to other people, Have had to have my truck towed in the perils after those people work on my car will never go anywhere else

I had a lug nut which was stripped and many auto shops could not or did not have tools. Phils was able to get the job done plus alerted me to other problems that needed to be addressed. My problem is after I got into car I was charged for items I did not request for repair. 55.00 turned into 415.00

UNAUTHORIZED SERVICE PERFORMED ON MY CAR:I am very particular where I take my car. Before I came back from a year tour oversees in 2019 and being stationed at Fort Hood for 11 years, this was the 1st shop that I took my car for mechanical issues here in Killeen. I was so glad that when my husband took his car, he had a good experience. I was thinking we finally had a mechanic that wasnt 40 mins away. They got my car in and out for my brakes Great!!. I got a 10% discount and also on my 45$ inspection was taken off my bill (I was told up front dropping my car off by Kevin if I had them fixing my car) this is something I thought they did (Turns out no Kevin made a mistake Joe explained two discounts couldnt be added)BUT they did an oil change on my car without my authorization and charged me 33$ for it. I was so angry and acted out on my angry because Joe didnt get the point he put cheap oil in my car without my authorization when I put full-synthetic in my car and never did I put any other type of oil in it since I bought it in 2011. He refused to change my oil back to full-synthetic without charging my extra for it. I could careless about the discounts. The point was they changed my full-synthetic oil to cheap oil and kept treating the situation as they did me a favor with the discounts. I would have choosen for my oil not to be change over a discount at anytime especially adding the cheapest oil in my car. I always pay 80$ to 88$ for my oil changes so money wasnt the issue. Its the principle that my oil was changed without my consent. Refund for the oil wasnt enough for me. I requested for him to correct his wrong without the extra charge and he refused saying he did me a favor and tried to tell me the other people was wrong to justify his actions. I wasnt there for him to speak bad about other business after his wrong. Kevin the clerk gave me a quote the day before I picked up my car. I wrote it down and Joe said that Kevin said he doesnt remember what he told me. He didnt mention anything about an oil change and gave me a lesser quote. I could careless about the quote. It was the cheap oil that they put in my car without authorization and was going to charge me for extra due to the so called discounts. Even if they didnt band me from coming back, I wasnt coming back period. I was so hurt. My heart was broken because I trusted them at their word and found out they wasnt trustworthy and disloyal. I have a big heart and is very sensitive when trusting people with anything of mines. Thats why I took my car 40 mins away from Killeen to get fix.... and I will be taken it back there. Their services maybe pricey but at least I can trust they will back up their word and also they have warranties on their services and parts.Joe threatened me that he was going to have my car towed for parking in a no parking zone. I clearly wasnt and there was no other place to park anywhere else. I even took a picture of the sign in front of the parking space that stated for employees and customers only.

We always bring our cars here for oil changes, repairs, tires. The techs and front desk workers are knowledgeable and helpful. Recently, we needed to bring our car in 20 minutes before closing time on a Saturday. They were able to quickly identify and correct the problem and had us out of there in no time! This is our go-to place for vehicle services.

Do not take your vehicle to this garage. Today, I was charged $118 and no repairs were completed. I have a faulty wheel speed sensor on the front drivers side, it was known that it was not functioning correctly on the previous visit when I had a new backing plate installed. I was charged for a diagnostic for the electrical part of it. I was also charged for a suspension inspection as I have a vibration in the front during cornering. I was told they couldnt reproduce which is odd because it occurs without fail under the conditions I described to them. I have my doubts that they even test drove it. I also pointed out to them of a torn boot on a ball joint that needed replaced as it is leaking and soon will rust and need fixing anyway. Beware if they bring up diagnostic testing because it is a way to charge without actually doing any work. I dropped my car at 8am, did not receive follow up during the day, I finally had to call them at 3:30pm.Following day, I returned to talk with them about being charged with no repairs, the least they could of done was fix the ball joint as that is a given needed repair. I made no progress as they were steadfast in their decision they did no wrong.

Really friendly staff! Unfortunately my old junker had to much wrong to be worth fixing, but through it all they tried to help me save money and kept me informed. I never felt pressured to fix anything either which was great.

BAIT AND SWITCH!!! Brought a Suburban in on a Thursday to have a P1860 Torque Converter Solenoid code looked at. Told them to take their time I was not in a hurry. Said it would be 47.50 for inspection. Called me later that day, said it would $95 for an electrical inspection because it would need to be more in depth. Called later and said just the TCC solenoid was bad. I asked why they were charging me $95 for something I told them was bad in the first place. They said they would remove the fee. The next after noon they called and said the harness in the transmission was bad but they would take care of it because they made the mistake. Said it would be ready Saturday afternoon and it would be $435 out the door. When I went to pick up the truck they said it would be $493. When I objected they wouldnt show me the receipt and when I told them what was said to me, he said it would take hours for him to review the call. He didnt look busy. He said the harness and the solenoid come together, which is not necessarily the case. Especially when you didnt know the harness was bad until after you ordered the solenoid. Paid the bill. After looking at the bill I realized they didnt remove the harness or the $95 inspection from the bill. They only removed the $47.50 transmission fee which is ridiculous because I told them the transmission was working fine and they knew it was an electrical problem when I went in so why were they removing a fee for something that was unnecessary. Went back in after seeing the bill, he used a bad doctor analogy about inspection fees, I asked If you had to pay a doctor an inspection fee twice? (he couldnt answer) Paid $493 for less than $100 worth of parts at their price (TCC Solenoid, harness, 5qts transmission fluid, and filter), had as much time as they needed on a simple common problem, then lied as to how much they were going to charge me. Then at the end acted like he was giving me a great deal. These people are Unbelievable!!

Went in to get my vehicle inspected, and gave the man my insurance, as the lady next to him at the desk tells him to turn me away “because we are short staffed” and that is completely fine and I understand, but then the man lied to me, and said that “the state inspector isn’t in today and they won’t be able to do it, he just now remembered”.If you are going to turn someone away, please don’t lie, and if i you are going to tell someone to turn you away, be quiet enough to where the customer doesn’t hear you, it’s extremely unprofessional.

Phil’s Service is amazing. They are the place to go if you’re looking for honest mechanics and staff (shout out to Reba!) who will look out for your best interest. Our first time in the shop they went above and beyond to help us get over $2000 in work covered after my car was improperly repaired by another shop out of state. They are professional, kind, and their work is too notch!!
