Wow! What a great trip! Patrick is a great guide! The boat was very very clean and he was extremely knowledgeable and had us on fish in minutes of anchoring. My son landed a huge barracuda and my daughter a nice shark!! We couldnt have been happier! Our whole family recommends highly!

This is pretty much has been the first time we’ve all deep water fish. Experience with Patrick couldn’t have been any better he was well knowledge very patient with us. We booked a four hour trip with him. We got off with a rough start because of the weather nothing to do with Patrick at all he was very accommodating to the situation. He took us out and was determined for us to catch a fish we spent seven hours out there not catching anything to brag about. But the man that I have got to know why I was out there on the boat was not going to let us go home without having something to brag about. We were planning on going on the private island tour so when we went back out for that he took us out fishing before we went. He won’t make sure we had something to talk about, guess what ? That day we got to caught eight foot lemon shark.Yes Patrick make sure we went home to something to brag about. As the rest of our week went own. We was talking to some of the locals what Patrick has done for us they all said how special that was that he didn’t have to do that he didn’t promise us a fish not even especially not one to brag about but he made it possible for us to do that this will be a trip that my son will never forget about and that’s all it means to me that he put that little happiness a special thoughts and very unforgettable memories this child will never forget. Captain Pat didn’t disappoint. We hit a single, double, triple, and a home run. We reeled in a 200 pound shark that was the biggest and toughest fish that any of us had ever encountered. We also caught a big barracuda and several other impressive fish.

Great day on the water fishing on-board the Bits and Pieces II with Captain Pat, we kept enough fish for dinner. Also, 2 bonus fish, 150 pound Goliath grouper and a 500 pound shark, both released to fight another day!An awesome day was had by all! Although the currents and the wind didn’t cooperate at the start, Captain Patrick put us on the fish and we had a great time. From Goliath Grouper to Barracuda we caught plenty during our trip and even had enough red grouper for lunch and dinner to boot. I had two trips booked with Patrick and they did not disappoint. We caught our limit of yellowtail both days, 3 or 4 large Amberjacks, Barracuda, to top the trips off a 9’ lemon shark (what a battle). Patrick was awesome to have as a captain. We were so happy with every part of our trip! We were looking for a more personal deep sea fishing experience than a ship with a bunch of other people, but also couldnt afford some of the other charter experiences. From the first call with questions before even leaving home for our trip, to finishing the last bite of our catch, we enjoyed our 6.5 hour trip, our fish, and the memories & TRUE fresh tales! While we were staying in Marathon & planned this as our only day in Key West, it was WELL worth waking up an extra hour early to get there! Captain Patrick was so very patient with me as an inexperienced angler, and my husband as an inexperienced deep sea angler. (MO Rivers have nothing on ocean fishing!) He patiently baited my hook every time, encouraged us while fighting with a barracuda & a nurse shark, and when we thought we were finished in one area, encouraged us to throw out one more time! We caught several Yellow tail snapper from the reef, and 2 good sized Mahi-mahi in deeper water, which was MORE than enough for 2 of us for 2 nights, with leftovers! His recommendation for where to take our catch was perfect, and we would recommend booking your time with Patrick ASAP! We are looking forward to looking for him again when our kids are ready to make these memories, too!

Had an amazing experience with Captain Pat, conditions weren’t ideal after tropical storm Elsa but he made the trip well worth it!! Originally wanted to go fishing for Mahi in the months leading up to the trip but pat told us the waters were really choppy and not worth going out deep due to the current and wind conditions.Gave us the option to still go out there if we wanted but thought it was better fishing going to the backcountry and fishing for shark. His honest recommendation gave us the best experience we have had here in key west. He was absolutely right with his recommendation, caught a lot of snapper, grouper, gar, pinfish, blue runner, and lemon shark.Pat is very knowledgeable, personable, funny and cares about your experience. I cannot say enough about our trip with Captain Patrick. From his comedic personality to his professionalism it was an overall great experience. We wanted to get to go out and have the attention on our group of 4 and a private charter is the way to go, you don’t get the attention on the party boats and it’s worth t. Extra money. After an enjoyable ride out to the crystal clear waters he put us right in the fish. We were fishing for yellow tail snapper and my guess is we caught well over 40, that’s with me having to sit out a few hours due to wooziness. We also brought in a few big jacks and 2 nurse sharks which put up a nice little fight and were fun to see up close. The action was non stop and Captain Patrick did a great job keeping us in the water and getting fish off the lines. We also got to watch some jack eat our yellow tail as we were reeling them in, which was turned into a game of who can reel in your fish fastest. We were not going to be able to bring fish back to our home so we caught the perfect amount of keepers for us 4 to have 2 nights of fish tacos and some fish dip while still in the keys. Thanks for the awesome trip Patrick and for the mango salsa recommendation for the tacos.A few recommendations for future guests.1. Breakfast tacos at the taco truck right around corner from marina. Opens at 6 and has baskets if 3 street tacos. Ask for the Spivey sauce.2. Hit the bathroom before going out.3. I have never been sea sick on boats but got that way so take Captain Pats recommendation on taking something, even if you have never been sea sick.4. Have fun. It was the highlight of all 4 of us that went out. Husbands and wives alike loved the trip.

Captain Patrick was the absolute best and really made our day on the water special. The boat was great and super clean which really made us comfortable right away. We got to see a school of dolphins while we were cruising but our favorite part was the gorgeous sandbar Pat took us too. It was magical! 2 friends and I went on a 6 hour fishing trip with Captain Patrick. We started off catching enough Yellow Snapper for lunch and dinner for the group. We later hooked on to a giant grouper. However, before we could get it on the boat it was eaten by a shark. It was an amazing thing to experience in person.Once back on shore, Captain Patrick cleaned our fish and offered up suggestions on which local restaurants would cook our catch.It was a great trip and I recommend Cheap Fishing Key West!!

Wow- what a day fishing out in the Atlantic with Patrick. We caught a pretty big sized nurse shark to start the day and that was awesome! Patrick was a great teacher and eager to help. I learned a lot about fishing and had even more fun hanging out with Patrick. I couldn’t recommend highly enough. I will be back and recommend to all my friends to go out and fish, snorkel or tour the seas with Patrick. Well done! Just ended my night bringing the fish I caught to a local restaurant to cook and enjoyed with the whole family.

Charter boat is clean, equipment is high end and well maintained. Caught a bunch of yellowtail snapper. Then hooked on to a 10ft lemon shark, a hour and a half later we got it to the boat. Amazing day fishing, best charter out there.

Patrick was amazing and so great with the kids. We had an amazing trip, caught fish, and swam and snorkeled at a private beach! Everything we needed was provided. Patrick was very professional and knowledgeable. We even got to stop and see the dolphins! A must if you’re in the Florida Keys!

My family went out with Patrick while we were in Key West. It was an amazing time! We caught plenty of yellow snappers- enough for 2 meals for 4 people at Half Shell Raw Bar and even left some behind. Just had a great day fishing with Pat! It was too windy out to have an enjoyable time deep sea fishing as originally planned, but pat was honest (much appreciated) and offered an excellent alternative. We caught tons of snappers along with a hammerhead shark and goliath grouper! He was so nice, patient, and takes great care of his boat! It was so clean!! He recommended a nearby restaurant for us to go to after fishing to have our fresh fish cooked, and it was soo good. Thanks pat, we can’t wait to come back!

Captain Patrick took my husband and me out to the reef Memorial Day weekend. We had a blast! Captain Patrick put us right on the fish and we caught our limit of yellow-tail snapper within an hour! The boat was awesome and even had a toilet. Captain Patrick was personable, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor. We cant wait until next time!!

Pat was great. Strong in customer service. Very accommodating. We had to reschedule a day later due to weather and wasn’t an issue. We caught the fish and he cleaned and filleted as well as recommended a local restaurant who’d cook it for us.

If you are looking to do some fishing while visiting Key West Patrick is the guy to see. He is very knowledgeable, experienced, honest, easy going and a fun person to be around. I can’t say I am an experienced fisherman but that did not matter, Patrick has you covered. His rates are more than reasonable. He did a really nice job preparing our catch and recommended a great restaurant that cooked our catch for us and it was excellent. Great experience all around.

Pat was kind enough to take us out on the water on NYE! We had an absolute blast and were in awe of how clean the boat and equipment was.. we have never seen a cleaner fishing boat. We caught a bunch of Yellowtail Snappers that we cooked up afterwards and also caught two massive King Mackerels! Patrick took our group of four out for the 6 hour trip. Awesome experience. Thankfully, he was patient and courteous as two of us were complete noobs. We caught about 22 fish that we could keep, he cleaned and cut them for us, and sent us on our way to Dantes where they cooked it all up. Cant recommended him or doing this enough while you are down in Key West.

I really enjoyed the fishing trip. The crew is very knowledgeable and they know so much about fishing. I have taken other fishing trips but this one tops them all. Best experience ever! They really are the most affordable fishing charter in Key West! But just because the prices are low doesnt mean they cut corners in the trip. The captain is extremely knowledgeable and when booking I asked if we would catch fish, he replied with We always catch fish! and sure enough we did. Cheap Fishing Key West was great. Capt. Pat was great. We only had a 4 hour time frame and were promised that we would catch fish and we were able to catch enough yellow tail snapper (delicious) and black fin tuna to feed six people. Good times! I would definitely recommend him.

My teenage son and I fished with Captain Pat on a beautiful June morning in 2014. His 27 foot Shamrock was very clean, comfortable and nicely rigged for riding and shade. Since the reef fishing had been slow the previous couple of weeks, he suggested we troll for Mahi early. We caught 8-10 Mahi Mahi before I asked to go to the reef and try for Yellowtail snapper and other reef species. The snappers were small, but we had fun and put several nice porgy in the box. The captain patiently cleaned our fish and accommodated us in every way possible. I would fish with this gentleman any day....
