I must say Mr. J.D Adkins at Kettering-Oakwood Heating & Air is the BEST of the BEST. WE are going through a very difficult time with this Pandemic. I am laid off and was not feeling the best of Spirits. This man came and fixed our A/C 2 times day and night. I have been telling everybody about my experience with this Company and the man who works for them. I have already recommended 10 people to this company and there will be many more. I had Five Star come out to give me an estimate for an AC unit. A technician was at my house on a Saturday within 2 hours of my call. He was great explained everything and put in discounts I was eligible for. The price is very very reasonable and below other estimates. I would highly recommend Five Star which is Oakwood Kettering heating and air in my area. They can have my unit in as soon as I want. They have financing if needed also. Josh is the technician who came out. He was very good!

My husband and I were having problems with our Nest thermostat and Hassan was quick and responsive at figuring out the problem. Extremely polite and professional. While he was here, it was discovered that part of the issue was our 18-year-old A/C unit outside and he kindly told us about a deal offered right now that saved us $1600 on a new unit. Gage and Nick came out the next day and had all the work done and installed in 5 hours. It is great knowing that with summer coming, we will be fine. Thanks guys!!

I had been without AC 7 days. I’m experiencing a personal emergency and was only at the hospital and at home. Finally the heat got to be to much I called on Saturday after hours. Josh came that evening and he got my AC working. It was so nice to have the physical comfort of Air Conditioning in the midst of such a personal crisis.I Sincerely Thank KOH&A snd Josh from the bottom of my heart.One last comment: I was so emotional snd upset about my personal emergency, I thought “ this business could completely take advantage of my situation. I was distraught, and probably would have paid dang neat anything to get comfort of the AC and some rest. The company stuck to the exact price quoted, not one cent more ! Josh also helped me change my smoke detector battery, so I could rest with one less stressor on my heart !I HIGHLY recommend this company and we WILL use their services again.-Joyce

Pretty rough experience today. I’m looking to have a whole new hvac system installed. I called and they were able to send someone out same day, to do a quote. Which was great! The lady working the phones was awesome!! The guy who came out was just horrible. He lasted 2 minutes in my house and I had to ask him to leave. He was rude, arrogant, and just overall extremely not friendly. I thought I was being set up. Even when I asked him to leave he still was being persistent about how I was making a big mistake, and gave me a very sarcastic “good luck” as he walked out the door. I’m not sure I have ever felt unsafe in my home until now. I had to walk away from this guy to avoid confrontation in my own home. I read all the good reviews on here and was excited to spend some money on a new hvac system! Well not to be a karen but there are plenty of other options out there. I would think twice before choosing to start the process with this company.*****The manager Michael reached out! They were able to send Justin out. Completely different experience. Other guy must have just been having a bad day. Not sure who we are going with, but they were very good about taking care of me. Thanks!

We have very much enjoyed our experience with Five Star Heating and Cooling and their affiliated companies. I highly recommend them.Josh Adkins came out and did our estimate. He was friendly, professional and did not try to sell us something that we did not need or want. I appreciated his courtesy and the time and effort he put into determining what best fit our needs and budget.The very next day Dakota Justice and Toby Byrd installed our new furnace and AC units. They were also very friendly, courteous and professional. They went through great pains to ensure that the job was done right the first time. They also took the time to go over the new thermostat functions and what safety features the units had.

When the installers left everything appeared great and fine. Tested and checked and walked through and everything. It wasnt until 8:30 at night that the AC stopped working, turned itself on and off at will and eventually blew lukewarm air. I only went with 5 star because I had gone with them before in July, when they also were AWFUL with their scheduluer and basically showed up 2 days after originally promised. But, I called them again because I was within their warranty period and they convinced me I should replace my full furnace and AC. So, I trusted them. For the last time. Where is my 5 star service? its not with their scheduling. Its not with their diagnostic. It apparently isnt with the install. I am sure somewhere along the way Ill get 5 star service. But right now, my 9 month pregnant wife and I are sweltering in 5 star heat and that is the nearest weve gotten to their description. Thanks for nothing. EDIT- Okay, so they at least came out and Josh was a great enough guy he rewired and got things working again. Still not the best experience in the world when it came to scheduling or their 24 hr service but whatever. Also, Josh took my Google nest. Which, admittedly was part of the problem but I could have kept or given to a friend.

Hassan was very nice when he came out to give the estimate. The two men who came out to do the work (Jake and his partner) were very courteous and professional. I will definitely recommend this company to my family and friends!

The technician was A1 went in got heat working on a unit that hadnt been lit in years all burners blowing great heat HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Will receive all of our business

Kettering-Oakwood Heating & Air repaired our broken furnace on Saturday, the day after Christmas. Hassan arrived on time, quickly determined and fixed the problem. On a day with temperatures in the teens, our home was soon to be toasty warm again.

Polite, knowledgeable and answered all questions well. Price is reasonable

My air conditioning was not functioning properly. The company sent someone out the same day. They were on time, courteous and very thorough. My system is over 20 years old so based on the extent of repairs needed I decided to replace and was given an extremely good estimate. I am looking forward to the istallation which will be in just 2 days. I would definitely recommend this company.

Excellent service tech arrived quickly and diagnosed the problem. They had our furnace running and we are definitely going to use them for all our hvac systems.

The installers were on time very careful about not spreading germs ( wearing mask and shoe covers ) They were very professional and worked hard to put things together and keep me informed on their progress .After installation of my Carrier infinity they explained how everything worked. The vent cleaning crew was also very courteous and worked hard keeping us informed about what they were doing with the same courtesy and keeping us informwd.

Professional and informative about the condition of my unit. Installed a new thermostat in less than 30 mins. Didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need. Would highly recommend.

Emergency repair completed in a timely manner. Went above and beyond and fixed a small air leak and cleaned my outdoor unit!

Josh was a very nice young man who could not find anything wrong with my heating system except for operator error, ha ha which means I was turning the thermostat dial the wrong way.
