My fiance took my necklace that my aunt had given to me before she passed away to get repaired do to it having gotten broken. He quoted us $20 to which he happily paid, only to call me a month and a half later to tell me that I needed to pay yet another extra $40. The gentalman had already known that there was three breaks it and that he could still fix it easily. My fiance was getting it fixed so I could where it for our wedding. We got a refund and gave it back to him with string holding it together and said it was not worth fixing.

Did a great job fixing a ring I was given by by my late grandma. The ring top was separated from the bottom. The soldered it back together and resized the ring. They did a great job.

I have had rings sized and jewels reset as well as making purchases for over 2 decades. Mr. Baublit is friendly, professional and provides quality work. I have never had a problem and trust him with my jewelry.

Had a quartz watch battery replacement done here on the advice of a local pawn shop. My quartz dress watch is very thin and so some extra modification needed to be done to fit the case back on. However, after the work was done I was very surprised to be charged only a nominal fee (ten dollars). I take this as a sign that these are very fair folks. Also the store was great. I even saw a nice vintage watch, a Hamilton that I might go back for. Really neat. I encountered a man who I presume is the owner and his daughter, they were very nice and easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend Baublits as a local business to support and find a nice watch or necklace.

Ive dealt with Baublits for more than 20 years, from when my father lived in Kerrville. Ive found them to be honest, efficient, and a bargain. Since moving from the area, I have sent multiple items to them rather than search out locally.For example, restringing pearls is difficult and most retailers dont even offer the service.
