I want to give a shout out and a 5 star rating to Sam the maintenance man at Rio Verde Apartments. He is often behind the scenes fixing issues and doing repairs or helping to keep our complex clean and tidy. He always goes above and beyond to make sure he can find the problem and correct it in a timely fashion. Our complex wouldnt run as smoothly without him. Im ever so grateful for all he does for the tenants. Always has a smile and a giving heart! He makes this complex a great place to live.Thank you Sam!

Family of 6, definitely on the young side comparatively, but we werent looking for a party atmosphere so its been great. (The 1 star review is fairly accurate but for me in a positive way.) First experience in apartments, very pleased. Temporary residence between houses. Neighbors have been very kind and friendly. Direct access to river trail now. (Which is great, it doesnt let me forget to run every day LOL.)

Property is well maintained. Management is very responsive to service issues - Staff is friendly and helpful. Property is safe. A great place to live.

Scotts review gives a good example of the community at these apartments. I would say its not much of a stretch to say they discriminate against anyone under 50. Ive been here over a year and Ive never heard or seen one pool party. The manager even tells you they try and keep it a senior community, even though the company that owns it has no policys on this. My family has lived in 8 different apartments in 4 different states and have perfect renters history. These apartments are the quietest ones weve ever lived in. You almost never see anyone. You occasionally hear the neighbors, on every side, as is expected when you share walls. But all the seniors that live here and move in will complain to the manager if they so much as hear you walking, sneezing, or coughing. And the manager uses the lease agreement section on not disturbing or inconveniencing your neighbors to give you lease violation warnings and threatens to evict you. You literally are not allowed to have guests or children over because if you talk too loudly at any time of the day, all the seniors complain and the manager takes whatever they tell her as fact and writes you nasty letters. What a horrible community. I think it speaks to how the people in Kerrville are. Very sad.

I have lived here 22 months. Overall, its the best place I have ever lived. Its only 80 units. Management and maintenance are great, to the point that some of the long term residents are spoiled. Neighbors are nice, and many people talk to their neighbors on a daily basis. The property is convenient to the river trail.Negatives: First of all, birds. This is bird central, and my building is their favorite place. It is a major cleanup issue. We have come up with ways to discourage birds from nesting on the patios. Second, there can be pool noise if your apartment faces the pool. It is seasonal, with Summer weekends the real problem. It seems to have decreased. Management is very concerned about this. There is now a courtesy patrol officer that enforces the pool rules, such as no glass containers.
