Ive had mixed experience with this company. They are the local 900lb gorilla as far as dry cleaners go, but their attention to detail in cleaning and alterations hasnt kept pace with the volume of business they get.Good for average work shirts and daily clothes, bad for special garments that need care.

This place is where you wanna go to have a good experience with your laundry.It’s not run-down, ghetto, or unclean- it’s actually quite the opposite.The place is squeaky clean across the board even down the bathrooms. It attracts a lot of business, so that is sort of a downside, but as long as you are about your business, then you are fine.I also am not a fan of the $1.00 charge to get a laundry card (prepaid card for the washers and dryers) but it’s efficient.I’d come back.

I come here a lot, and usually mind my own business coming in, but I had a question about the big laundry machine and how to fill it and had to sit behind 1 customer asking a question with 2 other employees helping answer this 1 customers question and leaving me there standing and waiting for these 2 other employees to notice and help me with a simple quick question, then to make it worse after that, I forgot my laundry soap in my car, started the $14 machine and stopped it quick to run and grab my laundry soap and then it made me pay again for stopping it for not even a minute then I went and asked the same lady who helped me earlier if she could refund me for this and said no it says don’t stop the machine right on the machine, I even checked the machine to see if it says don’t stop you got pay again if you stop it, says no where on the machine about this, so I ended up throwing away $14 for no reason, and also the lady was pretty rude talking back towards me, I work customer service and I would never ever treat a customer like this and I would go out of my way to help them because if they say it says that on the machine then please please show me where it says that, I would love my money back or I’ll keep this review up, for bad service and mid leading information to customer. Will not be coming here any longer

The laundrymat is clean and neat. I have been doing my laundry there for the last two months without trouble. Last night, I removed my clothes from the dryer. They were too hot to hold in my hands. Some items were destroyed by the heat. Contacting the cleaners was fruitless. I was told it is my responsibility in choosing the heat selection. I will not be returning

Here I have listed pictures several washers. They only have one size of dryer but like 5 different sizes of washers and plenty of options for different combinations to add wash cycles and spins and whatever else youd want. It is extra, so dont click the blue buttons unless you want to pay a bit more. The smallest washer is 2.85 the biggest is 13.85 and everything including the vending machine for the soap and fabric softeners use a card system. The card is used as opposed to quarters and it takes off right away. You can transfer cash, credit card or even debit to this laundry card. The employees are friendly and there is free wifi while you wait for your clothes. Also please note that do not hit that stop button to stop your clothes. It will stop your clothes permanently and you will have to pay again. Last time I did that they gave me my money back but I wouldnt count on that if I was to make that mistake again. You can open your washer door to stop it and add powder as needed. Powder doesnt go into the top of the washer only with the clothes. All in all clean..more expensive but everything works and works well and thats all I could as for as a consumer. Couple that with a good environment and good workers and you have a place worth every penny.

Arrived at 9:20 pm. Place closes at 10:00. I knew it was to late to do a wash but wanted to quick take a peek at the place and check out the prices on the machines. The Lady at the desk basically kicked me out and said I couldnt look around even though they dont close until 10:00. I was going to come tomorrow but Ill not be back.

Went there with a friend who had to do laundry. The facility is nice, clean and modern. The staff is friendly. It was an overall pleasant experience and I would recommend this place for your laundry and dry-cleaning needs.

Always come to this place to do my laundry. Machines work at top performance, wont leave your clothes with a slight funk smell as other laundromats Ive visited. Dryers gets the job done in 15 minutes. TV, refreshments and even comfortable seating area. This laundromat is great, great staffs too.

Will not be returning here anytime soon. Multiple employees not wearing masks and helping customers with machines. Definitely not staying 6 feet away from people without masks on. Reckless business decision!

Lazy. Apparently dry cleaning is only conducted on Monday and Wednesday? What about those who are willing to pay extra for expedited services? What about having a service available for customers? Apparently if you drop off clothes on a friday morning the earliest itll be done is Monday evening. Must be nice to have weekends off. Zero stars

All the staff here doing amazing job keeping laundromat clean just wish that all of their machines work when I went there they usually have signs on at least five or six of them

Came here just for the coffee, the whole process is made by a machine, it wasnt bad. I love the concept of this place. I had a suit dry cleaned here, my fancy hanger wasnt returned to me.

Sheldons is very clean! No coins! Everything goes on to a little pre pay card.The washers and dryers are very high end and maintained very well.The seating is very comfortable. They have several big screen televisions to watch while youre doing laundry. They even have a little cafe inside to get a bite to eat.

Where do I begin with Sheldon.He says love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you. I’ll do that after. Forgive me lord .Sheldon cleaners is a joke. They treat their employees like they care to your face but behind your backs, they downgrade and pretty much use you to their advantage. As do they also do with their employees/ they do with their customers. “Life over laundry” they make you work your life away even when it’s physically impossible.I am glad I never will work for this company nor will I recommend them.

Washers and dryers are cleaned frequently, so I feel my clothes are very clean and dont take forever to dry.

Clean stop for doing laundry but the cold brew and crepes take the cake.

I went to this location on advice from a friend who had wonderful things to say. I questioned it, I mean, come on! Its a laundrymat. Really? This place is great! Approximately 25 loads of laundry DONE in an hour and a half including folding. 10 loads of laundry in a single machine for about $12 & took 22 minutes. The dryer was only 15 minutes and just 55 cents! I also had a fantastic crepe from the cafe and kiwi lemonade. This is not your typical dirty smelly laundrymat! This place is great!I used hate doing laundry! Up and down my stairs with the heavy baskets, bending to load, unload and fold.... I honestly got to a point where I just washed what I was going to wear.... it was a mess. Now I just hate doing laundry at home, I love doing laundry at Sheldons. ;)

This place used to be AMAZING. Not sure what happened. The price and sizes of the machines are very reasonable and your money goes far. However, I am very disappointed in what the “cafe” has become. It used to be beautiful- crepes, coffee, fruit and salads.... now it’s like a gas station meets laundromat. This used to be a place people went to just eat... now it’s very sad. Gas station Nachos and a hot dog I only ate 1 bite out of because it was disgusting. They also up the prices in the machines on the weekends... so sad that this place has gone downhill so much. There used to be nothing like it, now I feel it is just a shadow of its former self.

When I need to wash my comforters I go here. Not your normal sketchy laundromat. Nice place.

I travel the country for work, and Ive been to lot of different laundromats. This is by far the best Ive seen. It is modern, clean, reasonably priced, and they serve food. I can get my laundry done over my lunch break.

Seriously one of the nicest, cleanest places to do laundry! Theyve got a machine for every size load (even multiple-load machines). Got blankets? Huge comforters? No problem. Ten kids and 15 loads to do? Bring it on, this is the place for you... and youll be done in record time. Need help learning how to use the machines, or not sure what size machine to use? Just ask one of the staff, they are accessible, awesome and give great advice that saves you money. Bonus: coffee and snack shop right in the facility. Cute kids play area. Do your wash, drop off your dry cleaning, have a freshly made cappuccino, study, or sit in a comfy chair in front of the fireplace ( or out on the patio) and enjoy the free WiFi.

Best place to go for laundering clothes and stuff. Prices are a little higher than usual, but its always cleanly, depending on the time of week and day you can usually get in and out fast. Plus they have a little cafe inside if you have the extra funds to splurge and get a coffee. Along with a play area with DVD/tv for the kids. Love this laundromat.

BEST laundry mat I have ever been to in my entire life. I had a huge load of laundry in one of their giant dryers and the door kept popping open, unbeknownst to me, and one of the employees and a complete stranger cut my load in half and put the rest in another dryer. They didnt even make me pay for the other load, and its $1.10 per 15 minutes for those specific dryers. So sweet. Seriously, I have never been to a nicer laundry mat. The place itself is immaculate, always clean, lovely interior overall. The staff are incredibly helpful (as Ive already mentioned.) Everyone is pretty friendly, and they have a nice little cafe. Never had my stuff stolen, or ruined, or messed with in general. 10/10 would recommend.

Why are the employees so mean? It’s a nice place but is ruined by the customer service. I pay a lot of money to wash my clothes in the express machines. The experience is ruined by the over the top rudeness of the employees. If they are so miserable then perhaps they should get a different job where they don’t have to interact with people.

What an amazing laundromat. I would purposely not buy a washer and dryer to go here. Very relaxing atmosphere with a separate sitting area that has a fireplace. Small kids area to play and watch movies. Multiple TVs set up. And a coffee shop right inside. Staff was super nice and friendly. The only thing that I was thrilled about was the card system they have for the equipment. If you dont go there on a regular basis you can be out the extra money on your card if you dont use it. But the equipment all seems to be pretty much brand new.

My personal experience have always been pleasant with their employees. Great beautiful atmosphere, nice setting for a laundry mat, cleaners, and spacious comfortable coffee shop. Cozy fireplace in front of building where you can chill-out while you wait for your clothes to wash or dry. Drive up pick up of your clothing. This is a very nice clean upscale place to do your laundry, and drop your clothing off for dry cleaning, and its AFFORDABLE.

We tried 3 laundromats around Grandville, Wyoming and Sheldon was cleanest. Attendants easy to reach for answering question with fair pricing

Absolutely Terrible customer service and business ethics. recently took my 100 dollar jersey to them to get some dirt out. went to pick it up, dirt was not out. they told me they would send it back in to deep clean it. when i picked it up the second time the number was completely destroyed. I asked to speak with the owner when the customer service rep told me there was nothing they could do. The owner told me they washed it properly even though i brought them 2 jerseys practically identical just a different brand. One was fine the other was destroyed. All he could give me was their word that it was washed correctly and they will not issue me a refund for my jersey. Then he proceeded to tell me (this is the owner remember) that after i do my research on the washing procedure and realize that he was right that I OWE HIM AN APOLOGY. Do not take anything to this place.

I took some bulk laundry to Mario. He was extremely professional and made sure my organization was well cared for. People underestimate how important clean clothes can be. My group is a volunteer disaster response group. We come in after natural disasters acts of terrorism, or situations where communities are seeking help with construction projects. We get extremely dirty quickly. We are required to wear uniform gear to insure our safety do clean clothes are always important. With luggage process being so high on airlines and members coming from who over the world, we often need reliable laundry service.Mario called in his team to insure we got our laundry clean, folded, and back the same day we took it to him. For us, that was amazing! It increased morale and made us all feel happier. We are so grateful to the people at Sheldon cleaners. Mario should be employee of the millennium!Little things make big differences!

Here right now at the Breton location doing laundry. Went to the cafe to get a coffee and was told they were not making any more because it was 2:30 and they were closing in an hour and a half. Really? It’s coffee. And no sign indicating this customer unfriendly policy.

If you go to the cleaners,..make sure you go when Shirley is working. They generally have great service and customer care, but even better when great employees like Shirley is working. She is very attentive to details.

Decent place, but its like a maze to get through. I think if the kids area was moved, it would help moving easily. Also, move the ashtrays away from the doors, non smokers have to walk through smoke to get in and out. Should be so many feet from entrances..

I dropped off my flannel winter comforter back in spring to have dry cleaned. Picked it up a week later. It was in a bag so didnt look or take it out until just a week ago when the weather started to get cold again. They must have washed it and not dry cleaned like I asked. All the stuffing inside is bunched up in the corners. It is ruined!!!! Years ago I washed a comforter and I know how and why it happens that why I wanted them to dry clean. They dont listen.

They do a good job for a fair price. Shirts come back well laundered but pants can be given poor press lines.

The building is new and nice, and they have TVs and a cafe, but the washers dont use enough water. Its frustrating! If you do go there dont fill up the washer more than 1/3.

I received news the other day that they ruined one of the two dresses I brought in to have cleaned. My dress got “sucked into a fan”... I wore this dress once and they ruined it. I spoke with Neal, who had a conversation with me via text ONLY. He NEVER acknowledged what I had to say. He wasn’t even kind enough to apologize for their mistake. After destroying my dress, I was never asked what would make me happy to resolve THEIR mistake. They told me they are ordering me a new dress and will notify me when it arrives - That was the end of the conversation.I then spoke with one of their managers, Cindy, who was sincere and was trying to help as she had a similar experience. She told me their company protocol is always to replace the garment or give a cash refund back when they destroy an item, and most importantly, that it is the CUSTOMER’s decision. Neal never gave me an option even when I told him I would like cash back. This issue has still not been resolved after several days and Neal has still refused to speak to me on the phone. This has now become a customer service issue.I am beyond furious and very disappointed with their customer service. They will certainly never have my business again, nor will I recommend them to anyone I know.

I dont feel like Im in the hood! I took a king sized comforter there to wash myself, you guys, I was out of there in under 90 minutes. I cant do a full load of laundry at home that fast! I was mad when it was done because my chair was so comfortable I didnt want to get up!

Overpriced.Dropped off my northface jacket that has a detachable hood. They considered that as a “ 2 item” and for that, i paid close to $24. Wow !Come on sheldon, you guys were better than that.So disappointing.

DO NOT USE THIS CLEANERS! They over promise and under deliver. They will tell you your items will be done within a day or two, but then they have some problem and cant deliver. I had to go buy my husband a new dress shirt for a funeral because they didnt have his shirt ready in time. I stupidly thought maybe it was a fluke and take a dress in today. Its actually ready for pick up, but its not pressed! Their only solution is to bring it back or to call for a manager TOMORROW! Not helpful in the least. But they have no problem charging top dollar and full price no matter their screw ups. I WILL NOT EVER USE THIS CLEANERS AGAIN AND WARN EVERYONE ELSE NOT TO USE THEM!!

Its very clean and the atmosphere is nice, the workers are about half and half some are super nice and helpful the other half not so much. The staff should really pay attention to when people leave their clothes and go elsewhere when I went this woman had seriously 10 washers taken up and left them for over an hour. It turned a quick run into an ordeal cause the place was packed.

A little bit of a drive from my house, but my wife and I have been making the trip because it is many times cleaner than any other laundromats in the grand rapids area we have tried. Very comfortable setting with a wide range of machines to choose from. Quick and easy and very clean - and there is an attached coffee shop / lounge area to wait at.

BEST LAUNDRY SERVICE EVER! Omg this place actually makes me find dirty laundry just so I can go there to wash clothes. Then while the tub spinning have a nice hot Delicious cup of coffee while surfing the web next to the fire place! I love it! And for those in a rush or needing Dry cleaning theres drop in service. Not to mention the staff are always attentive and polite.

As far as laundromats go, this is the best Ive been to. There are a lot of machines available and the price isnt too bad. I really like the concept of the reloadable laundry card payment system. My experience with the staff has been mostly good. A couple havent been very polite, they were working the cafe. The laundry staff have always been very kind though. The building itself is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. Some of the people that come here arent the most fun to be around, but thats to be expected with the area and the fact its a laundromat.

This building is pretty new and very clean. Its a nice place to do your laundry and have dry cleaning done. There is a quaint little cafe inside that offers crepes, salads, coffee and more. Also has a nice little fireplace.

I had a really urgent meeting that I needed to make and my suit coat button popped off the Jacket. Sheldon had someone come in early and fix it and I made my appointment. This was a $5 cost to me but I would have gladly paid $100. Customer service like this is rare and really appreciated.

Nearly every shirt cleaned here has had the buttons destroyed - premium quality and new shirts come back destroyed. Im not exaggerating when I report that they have broken buttons on over 30 shirts during the past year. They argue about replacing and then replace with non-matching buttons. Their location was convenient to my old office but finally decided that Curtis Cleaners is a WAY better option - they seem to care about your laundry...and they pick up at my office.

I enjoy going to this location to wash my clothes. My only suggestion for now would be to rid the dryers of the sweaty locker room smell. Im sure theres a way to get rid of that. But overall, pretty decent with decent prices.Update: 10.5.19Thank you Sheldons for removing the sweaty locker smell. Dryers smell much better. :)

The laundry mat is always clean, and its a comfortable atmosphere. Ive had to wait at the dry cleaning counter upwards of 10 minutes on several occasions. The soap machines frequently jam. The washers and dryers do a great job. Theyre fast and efficient, and there are plenty of folding tables and spare hangers available. Lately it seems like more and more washers are down for routine maintenance, and will stay out of use for a few weeks because every week I see the same signs on the same machines.The service at the cafe on weekend mornings has always just been ok. The stock and selection of their baked goods is hit and miss. Their Sunday hours are listed as opening at 8, however for the last month theyve been opening at 10, and no one seems to know why. They didnt even bother changing the info on the door or website, and finally after a month put a hand written sign at the cafe register. Not a great way to treat your costumers.

Fantastic little laundromat, machines are reasonably priced. Also features a little cafe that admittedly doesnt have a lot of selections, but hopefully that will change. All in all, very impressed.

This place is a step up from what it used to be in many ways. The laundromat is large and had newer machines, the cafe is tasty, and there dry cleaners are pretty good at getting your garnets done on time. If you need to go to a laundromat in GR go here.

Very unethical treatment of employees. Long hours with no breaks, absolutely none. Low pay With no opportunities for advancement. The way they treat their customers is no better. My manager authorized an Employee to request that an elderly customer return to the store to pay for a supposed register error. She actually called this lady up and told her she had to come back and pay two dollars 🤣😂 Absolutely ridiculous.

Different than your average laundromat! The interior is very beautiful, clean, and the machines are top notch. It also includes a cafe with baked goods to full on lunch items. No more coins! All machines take a card which you may load with a credit card or cash.

Laundromat has a great atmosphere and customer service! There is a play area and tv for the little ones to keep busy. The washers and dryers are affordable and do a great job. You can watch tv and enjoy a drink and snack from the eatery.

A Sheldon Cleaners employee with positive employment reviews and no complaints attended the peaceful Anti Trump Protest n Downtown Grand Rapids. Her boss approached her and asked her if she treated people of all political persuasions the same. Of course she answered. She was fired that day. Not sure if lies were spread about her but Sheldon Cleaners did not give the employee more information or allow her to defend herself. It is a civil right of all Americans to exercise their freedom of speech . I will not be using this business as freedom in America is very important to me.

I have had more issues in the past 6 months than Ive had in 20+ years of drycleaning. Sheldons is a big player in town. I hope for the employees of Sheldons that management gets their broken processes & systems figured out before it is too late.

Wonderful experience. New resident from Idaho; in home dryer went out, left clothes needing to be re-washed and dried. Looked up laundromats and saw article, and what was different. Aces all around!! Staff was friendly and helpful, atmosphere is beyond ANY typical laundromat, and equipment top notch. Bathrooms are clean and green, with no touch handles to exit them in lieu of the doing so with a paper towel, which are absent, thus very clean and hygenic.

Sheldon cleaners are the best all brand new machines and they all wash with soft water! They are all very helpful with positive attitudes and there is even a snack bar my favorite part they are super affordable!

Is it wrong to WANT to go to the cleaners?!? This location has so many great things to offer: spacious, clean, well-serviced machines, clean restrooms, visable attendants, FRESH food options, a childrens corner, drop-off laundry service, fireside lounging... And the machines can handle it all (think 3 king sized comforters at once😊). If I have to go out to do laundry it never feels like a chore here. Highly recommend.

I have been taking my dry cleaning to this place for years. Never a problem. I like their drive up service. They are always friendly and have my stuff ready when they say they will.

I had to rate with one star in order to write a review....had hoped to give zero stars. Horrible customer service by management. Horrible customer communication. Horrible experience. They ruined a brand new dress but didnt have the professionalism to admit it. Shame on the leadership, or should I say lack of leadership. Will NEVER use them again.

The wash and fold service is fantastic just dont expect to get lost items back. I also received numerous pieces of laundry that were not mine and returned them.Only one bad experience with a bag not being processed but they quickly resolved it.

Absolutely terrible. Dropped off @11am for same day service. Called at 915pm to ask if it was finished. Was told it was. Drove 15 minutes to pick up. Turns out shirt was not done and I was one of many to have this issue today. Not very apologetic. Compd the shirt only. I asked to just give me the shirt back so I can clean it myself. Said she wouldnt be able to find it. Said she doesnt know what time itll be done tomorrow. I will be an hour away for the rest of the week so now I have to drive two hours out of the way for the shirt. Didnt seem to care. THIS IS FOR A WEDDING. Avoid this place

Wanted to like this place due to its location, but poor management means I have to find somewhere new.My wife and I brought in two duvet covers and some coats, picked them up, got them home, realized one of the duvet covers had four very large (sized from a fist to a salad plate), very noticeable brown stains (brown on white is pretty easy to noice).Returned the next day to explain to the front desk staff that these stains were new and not the reason we brought them in and hopefully they could fix them. Didnt ask for a refund, didnt ask for a replacement, only asked they try to fix their mistake. One of the front desk staff even said, Dont worry, if we cant fix it, well replace it. Great.Head in two days later after we got notified the blanket was ready, and before I left, inspected the blanket for the spots...still there. Not as prominent, some effort was made, but still for sure there...and still stains we didnt have before bringing it in. Also, should point out, I wasnt told they were still there, I was just told to come pick it up.The front desk staff got me a manager, who proceeded to lecture me about how these could be unseen stains that were internal and brought out by the washing process. I ignored the lack of logic in how professional cleaning actually stains things, and instead stated that I wasnt happy that I would have to come back a third time, due to an error made on their part. I was then told that his people would have to determine the chemical makeup of the stain to determine the cause before a refund could be discussed. So, I had to wait for it to be sent to the laundry CSI lab. Dumbfounded, I left, for fear of losing my temper.Hours later, after reflection on the absurdity, I called and spoke with the manager, explained I had no confidence in his abilities to fix the situation (especially considering I have dealt with him before at another business where he was terribly inept to the point of madness), and picked up our now forever stained duvet.Another clerk gave me a refund for the cleaning of the blanket upon my arrival, but, come on MANAGEMENT, OWN UP TO YOUR BUSINESSS MISTAKE. Being told that your washing process revealed our magic brown ghost stains or that you were going to have someone determine the chemical composition of a stain is ridiculous. Especially, especially, especially when one of your employees promised a refund or replacement days ago. It shouldnt take this much for you to apologize and refund me.Also, unrelated to laundry, whoever is in charge of the coffee shop, you have some explaining to do on the chai tea latte, because whatever I ordered on Tuesday morning was $4 of absolute liquid garbage.

Sheldon Cleaners is Amazing!!! I had my bridesmaid dress alterations done at Su Alterations in the mall and I was extremely unhappy with their work. When I finally picked up the dress from Su, there was an enormous stain on it and it was 2 days before the wedding. Sheldon got the stain completely out, rushed to finish it for me, and even redid most of the terrible alterations that were previously done for an extremely low price! I will be taking all of my business to this Sheldon cleaners, especially anything I need alterations on!!! Thank you so much!
