One of the best places I have been to. Very nice chill location. Parking is on the back. A big Plus they have a massage chair you can use. Bring dolla bills. My Barber is amazing. Definitely coming back. I highly recommend it.

Berry is an amazing barber. He took a lot of time to make sure that he understood exactly what I wanted. He worked meticulously on my cut to make sure it was perfect. Everyone was professional and friendly. The atmosphere of the shop is really nice. His rates are very reasonable and although I’ve only started coming recently I’ll definitely be going there every month.One other thing I should mention is that he taught me that I was “fighting my natural part” and by just moving the part over a 1/16th of an inch it doesn’t stick up in that one spot.

Just moved to Kent recently and have been trying to find a quality Barber for a while.. thankfully I’m done having to search. Got my hair butchered at the last place I tried and these guys cleaned me up so my wife will finally allow me in the house again... thanks for the great haircut and conversation!

Got here at 2pm on Sunday after making 2 appointments online for 2pm and 2:30pm. I get there and the barber says I dont have the appointments because I never got a confirmation code. So I ask if he has time and he says yes after he was done with the current client. Then at 2:25 another guy shows up and asks the barber if they were still on for 2:30. Barber says yes and the guy leaves. Barber finishes with the first client and the other guy walks in from back door and just sits down. Also barber is not wearing any mask or gloves. I didnt even see him sanitize any of his equipment before moving on to the next guy. I went to take my son to get his haircut since I only get him every other weekend and this made me waste a lot of valuable time. If he didnt have time he could have told me instead of having me wait over 40 minutes for nothing!!!!

Very happy with my visit. I was late to my appointment regretfully and Berry very graciously understood. I had recently given birth to an unexpected but a joyful surprise baby boy 6 days prior. As a new Mom, I am unaccustomed to my new routine and have been experiencing intense residue sciatic nerve pain that has me moving much slower than normal. He did not get disgruntled at all by my delay which I appreciated very much.He quickly cleaned up after the guest he was finishing up with when I walked in, not forgoing a proper effort to sanitize. He accommodated for the baby carrier by moving one of his benches so my baby could be near me but away from others. Not once did he express any frustration, he simply moved quickly and efficiently to do his best to squeeze me in before his next appointment which sadly I saw meant him allowing his own dinner to get cold that he intended to eat between guests.My hair was a mess because I lapsed on upkeep due to a rough last couple months of pregnancy and haphazard help from friends that did their best to get me a haircut in that time with well intended but chaotic result. He cleaned me up very nicely and even freestyled a cute design for me along side the edge of my mohawk.He was very easygoing and pleasant to talk to. Atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed. Highly recommend!

I’ve been having my hair cut at Berry’s over 5 years now. The thing that keeps me coming back is the consistency. Out of hundreds of haircuts i can’t recall a time where I wasn’t happy with the job they did. Both barbers who work here are very talented and have been cutting hair for many years so you don’t have to worry about getting stuck with a barber who lacks experience or skill. From the friendly welcoming environment all the way to the precision equipment they use to style my beard, this place is top notch.

GOOD POSITIVE VIBES, not only will you get a great haircut ( in my opinion the best the city of Kent has to offer) but also Barry is a great dude who is easy and fun to talk with about anything from sports to politics,l. Even brought my kid in once and he is the type of kid who hates getting his hair cut and throws a complete fit, but not with Barry he made sure my kid enjoyed himself and made him feel relaxed, he even put on a carton for him to watch! Not like many other barbershops where you have to worry about cursing or things of that nature. It’s a very good family feeling place. Wouldn’t get my hair cut anywhere else. I live all the way in Lakewood and drive all the way to Kent just to go to Barry. Easy 5 stars, would give it 100 stars if I could. GREAT MAN, GREAT HAIRCUT.

Berry is a master stylist who uses clippers. I wear my hair short and Berry cut it in a style that is very feminine. My appointment was on time and the conversation was great. I like going on a Monday when it’s quiet. Berry takes his time and listens to what you want. Very professional and creative with hair. His precision is impeccable. I think he used at least 5 clippers on me. I love my new cut!

Walk ins are welcome but I strongly suggest making an appointment. I got my hair cut by billy ( the GoalKeeper lol insider) and he did quick clean job. My son is always asking for some type of design in his head. Last Christmas while in Seattle, he wanted a football. I called Berry and he said one of the barbers in his shop, Billy, could do it. We went and loved the detail. This summer, my son wanted a Seahawk and Billy delivered again. I wish we could take him back with us but since we can’t, we will continue to go to Berry’s Barbershop on every visit.

My husband gets his haircut by Billy. He always has done a great job on his hair and I love his beard trims. I am a hairstylist but Billy can trim my mans beard better than me. I would also like to add that I have taken my kids into the barber shop on several occasions. The atmosphere was professional,and the kids had a great time. Best place to get a fade and a line up. Two black barbers that are great at cutting black mens hair and white peoples hair too. Welcoming environment. Lots of laughs and sports talk. Came in to shave my head, after much debate on my part, I was finally ready. When I walked in they were all in a great mood which totally set me at ease. Asked me what I wanted and if I was sure. Made sure that I was making the right choice not in over bearing way just double checking with me. The barber who shaved my head was super nice and caring. Absolutely hands down the best barber in Washington state! The shop is clean and organized, they take the time to pay attention to details, and they are always friendly! As a single mom I dont always know the best ways to cut my sons hair and they are always super helpful and do a great job. Berry jumped in to make the first cut, and I ultimately was very pleased with the finished product. I came here because I saw so many positive reviews and they definitely live up to it. I was nervous taking my nephew in for his first haircut but it turned out perfect. Berry cut his hair and even though it took over an hour to tame his huge fro, Berry was very patient and never rushed. The atmosphere was laid back and both barbers were nice and complimentary to my shy nephew. Super affordable and great place, will definitely be bringing him back when he needs a touch up!

Berry and Billy and their cuts are legendary. I came out here to work for the summer not knowing anyone in the area or a decent barber. After checking other barbershops and even trying to set up appointments elsewhere, I decided to give Berry a shot. Im so glad I did! Atmosphere is great. Lots of laughs. Most importantly though is Berrys attention to detail and his ability to recreate exactly what I envision and hoped my hair to look like. Berry has a customer for life in me. Dont go anywhere else! Berrys a wonderful person. He was lively the whole time, and deeply considerate about what I wanted and needed. I forgot to ask for something during the haircut, so when I called the next day and asked if he could fix something, he did it for free! Despite it being my fault, he was compassionate and really helped me out. Its no surprise that everyone knows the guy when they walk in, seeing as his work his incomparable and hes very, very friendly. If you need a good haircut with someone you can trust, go to Berry.

Billy the barber is the best. My husband goes to him and not only gets a perfect haircut every time, but also gets life spoken to him. This is not a shop where you have to be scared of what they are talking about, or if your hair cut will be perfect. Everyone has been very respectful and clean every time I have ever been (and that’s a lot). The environment is just fine for my 7 year old stepson, not only do we not have to worry, but we all leave with a little more life spoken to us. I’ve never had that before at any other barber shop. Go see for yourself!

If you are African American, these guys know how to cut hair. Custom designs, fades, Afros, Mohawks... these boys can cut. The shop is full of smiles and an endless round of laughs. Prices are reasonable too. Desperately needed a cut and Berry stayed open late for me.Its also a great source of information if you are new to the area. The only downside is parking is limited. This is to be expected in downtown Kent.Other than that, this is my new home and barber.

Relaxed atmosphere, theyve had good movies playing, good humor. of course most important when getting a haircut... I want to look good, real good. When I first walked in I realized it was a black barber shop (no Im not a racist) I just hadnt been in one before, not wanting to just turn around and walk out the door, I decided to just go for it. Billy proceeded to give me a haircut that easily ranked among the top 3 of all time. Ive been back three times now, every time has been the same.

Best barber shop Ive had the pleasure to ever stumble into. Though I pretend not to be, I am very particular when it comes to who I allow to place sharp clippers near my fleshy scalp. Berry did an excellent job so now I can happily rock this short cut into the summer. The atmosphere is professional yet laid back. And it is easy to figure that the babers here are masters at their craft. I will be going back. This is definitely a place that will make America great again.

I called Berrys barbershop in a panic this afternoon trying to get my two little boys in for a cut before our international flight tomorrow and Berry, the owner, was gracious enough to accommodate by staying late and giving my 9 & 10 year old the best cut theyve ever had. Not only did he give them a fresh look he added a design so they could represent on our vacation.My little men loved their haircut and because of his extra ordinary customer service, he just gained two more clients for life. We will be regular customers moving forward. He is worth every scent. I agree with the other reviews that it feels like family when you walk in.I dont do reviews but this one was too good to not share.

Love the atmosphere, very diverse clientele. To be able to cut African-American, Caucasian and Hispanic with tremendous skill is very impressive. Berry and Billy are not only wonderful Barbers, but equally great men of character.

The first place to cut my sons hair the way he wanted - faded up, just trimming to the top to keep the length. His hair course and has a loose curl to it. Instead of trimming the top all one length, the barber paid attention to the way his hair lay and then sculpted it.Call ahead and make an appointment. They told us to come in at a certain time. We arrived 5 minutes early but ended up waiting another 30 minutes past our appointment time.
