Nice place for the family and clean bathrooms. The food is not so great, but I like the slushies. I did not like that no one was wearing a mask, but when this virus is ever over, enjoy Sparkles!
Had my sons birthday party here last month and Nevaeh was our host and she rocked. Took the lead organizing it all, setting it up, playing with the kids and even made sure they had fun at lazer tag! Would highly recommend sparkles for a kids party.
The ladies there were great. My baby girl had a great time for her birthday!
Awesome place for the kids to have fun while you relax, enjoy your time, and watch them have a blast. Im giving it 4 stars for two reasons. The first, their music is fine but they blast it way too loud and second, they have regulars, just like any other type of skating place, who fly by at crazy speeds going forward, backward and doing special moves to every song. Thats all fine and dandy but when you throw in 4, 5, and 6 year olds who are learning there is bound to be an accident and all the times weve been there has been an accident that is exactly that, an older experienced regular who slams into a little kid. So, word to parents, just walk with your little ones who are learning to avoid these issues.
I am very disappointed in how unorganized they are. Firstly I ordered 2 pizzas, and a chicken tray all to be brought out together, my buzzer goes off and my chicken is ready, but my pizzas accidentally went to a party. Secondly, do not bother buying the unlimited pass because if there are birthday parties even during not so busy hours you will not be any sort of priority for lazer tag no matter what order u signed up. I had a full game of lazer tag booked with all the guests who were with us and after waiting 3 hours and being told there were only 2 other games in front of us over half of my guests leftafter they had already paid bc they could not wait any longer. Sparkles response to this was maybe in 8- 15 min the next game will be yours. Another party has gone again in front of us 🙃 I have spent almost $200 here today. The skating has been fun and the staff has been wonderful at keeping it safe, but other than that I am very disappointed. Sparkles in Hiram will get my money from here on out or another location. Hope you guys make this right.
Honestly Im blown away by the staff at this place! Unfortunately a lot of times if the staff is really young you can expect sub-par I dont care to be here attitudes... thats not at all the case here!My daughter fell and knocked the wind out of herself which sent her into a panic as shed never experienced that feeling before. Almost immediately after it happened Sean, one of the floor guards came over to see if she was okay. He helped us get her skates off quickly so we could get her off the floor away from other skaters. He was so kind and helpful! A few minutes later another girl walked over to see if she wanted some ice, didnt catch her name. A few minutes after that the General Manager Tiya (spelling?) came over to check on her and offered to get her some water. I am so appreciative of all of their kind hearts! ❤Also, shout out to Kaden, the gentleman that helped us with our laser tag game. He was very friendly and professional as well. This Sparkles knows how to recruit QUALITY people! Well definitely be back!
Been going to this location since I was little. Great atmosphere and music. BUT this Classic R&B Night on Monday is a waste of money if thats the kind of music youre looking for. They start off the night with some R&B songs but then after its all just Hip Hop. Nothing against that but if your Special on Monday night is supposed to be Classic R&B then thats what I expect to hear. Better off going to the other locations for that type of music. Still enjoy this location and every visit I have with them.
This is a very nice facility. I skate the floor is very nice and smooth and very fast. I had a great time skating. There are some real safety concerns on the floor skating. The staff will make announcements telling people how to use the skating floor but no one comes out to enforce the rules. When kids think its okay to skate in the wrong direction or just randomly stand on the floor in front of other skaters this is a real safety issue. Skating is a safe activity if the rink is controlled. This place was dangerous and Im sure one day someone will get hurt and I do not want to be that person. If they had floor guards doing their job properly this would solve all the safety issues while skating. We have to teach young and new skaters the rules of skating so we can all have a safe and fun experience.
Samantha was super helpful and nice with us. With workers like her all the experience was a blast. She informed us about prices, combos, options.... The place was very clean. Good experience. We will be back for sure.
I love this place it is the best skate rink to go to the rink is large enough and if you dont have personal skates you cant rent them and they play good songs all day and they have a playground for 10 and under kids with green or purple rist bands there is laser tag witch is so fun it feels like your in a vr game but its real life and the people you order your food from are nice and understanding and gets your order right the first time and fast the food is goof and the icees are to.
When Sparkles did the princess tea party. Wow my daughter and granddaughter had the time of their life. It was so professionally done and the kids had a great time. I loved the staff their at Kennesaw Sparkles. You will love them. The pizza was kinda good but it wasnt great. I hope they so it again and my girls will be there for that one as well.
I gave 5 stars because the staff was great. The food was not the best, but hey, we came to skate and laser tag and that was FUN!
The staff have a great vibe and we’re very helpful with me buying skates. Monday nights are pretty cool! I’d definitely try and take friends with you! Monday nights are for adults 18+.
Great birthday party experience for my 10-year-old daughter. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our attendant was top notch who engaged the kids and played games with them while she served them pizza. The pizza pies were big and a single large pie feed all 7 kids in attendance. There is a $5 charge for strollers to help with the roller skates but only $3 for party members. The rolling rink does not have a complete wall around it so no holding on to the sides while trying to skate. The gaming area was small but kept neat and all the games were working. There is also a very good jungle gym for the kids and laser tag. Snacks and beverages were available at the snack bar including alcohol.Very impressed with the facilities and how well kept and clean it was. Already have 2 birthday parties there for my kids.
We did an 8y/o Birthday party. They were very accommodating and we had a great time!
Had a blast here with my daughters and girlfriend. Minus the time that I fell. Pay attention when paying though regardless of the fact that I told them my kids brought skates I was still billed for the rental.
Great place to Sk8.. good music, perfect crowd
Very nice experience two weeks in a row just great Ambience good vibe and if you are an older person. The Dj brings back a lot of memories here in a lot of those hits from the 70s 80s and 90s .So I urge all the old school roller skaters to come to Sparkles what an experience.2.5. hours of neon dreams
We went for their Tiny Tots skating party and had the best time! It’s for kids ages 5 and under and for the price of admission ($6 per kid or $9 if you’re buying lunch) we had access to play in the skate rink, jump in the small bouncy castle, climb in the jungle gym and color valentine’s cards. My son loved going up and hugging the shark they had walking around the building. We didn’t end up skating, so I’m not sure if there is an additional fee for the skates. Lots of other families brought bikes and riding toys and were happy to share. They also had kid-friendly shows on the TV’s. My kids had the best time running around. I’m not sure how frequently they host these events (their website does not say), but we can’t wait to go back!TIP: bring a bike or riding toy with you to share with the other families
Be aware if you don’t skate and you just want to supervise teenage grandchildren you have to pay for yourself. They should appreciate the supervision sitting there an occasionally eating their overpriced food. I guess I see why people just drop off a gang of kids and leave.... but that’s exactly the reason I feel I should be there
Love this rink, the staff really cares about skating and the community.
As far as skating goes, sparkles is fine. Good music, food is not awful, and the space is fine. However, the pricing, miscommunication from staff and overall terrible customer service kill the experience. It really felt like they were making pricing policies up as I spoke to them, and the pricing is EXTREMELY high. The whole facility is run by rude teenagers and it seems like at least 25% of the staff is in training. I may drive the extra distance to another facility the next time my kids want to skate and I am recommending that our elementary school’s foundation no longer to spirit nights there.
Fun place and kids enjoyed the birthday party.
Monday nights are lit! The Dj plays great music. The staff is pretty cool too
Kids loved it. Service is horrible. Up charges everywhere. They added a $10 processing fee to credit card for a party.
Everything! Kids always love it here! Staff are friendly and will help with any needs!!
Smaller floor than Hot wheels and they need painted lines for slow and fast skaters badly. People were skating the wrong way and standing idle in the floor. Carpet was not vacuumed in weeks. Wont be going back.
Blown away at how unorganized this rink is. They need new managers the ones on today are worthless and no-one has a schedule as to what happens when! Wasted money today! Will not return to this rink.
Love the clean facility and location. I was excited when the location announced Monday adult night. I have been disappointed. Adult night should be re-branded as college night. The music is geared to a much younger crowd. They could benefit from having a true DJ who is experienced with playing musical selections for the diverse crowd that attend. If you are over 21, Monday is not the adult night you will enjoy.
Very few people were wearing masks but this location has fantastic staff and great pizza! The floor was well maintained and then music was a fun mix of modern and old school.
This place is great. The music and food is good and the kids love it there...thanks guys...
A good spot to bring the kids or if you want to practice your rollerblading skills! Theres a bar if you want to have a beverage while youre there.
Not all the employees were wearing masks, not even the people serving food. Literally none of the people skating are wearing masks either. At least a woman was wiping down counters and games. I will say the environment seemed lively.
Sparkles Skate Camp is great! This past week, I sent my 7 and 5 year old there. They absolutely loved it. Skating, laser tag, playground, games, pairing, etc. They had a blast! Ms. Nicole was amazing with the kids. She even took picks of my kids to text me during the me day. Next summer, skate camp is a definite must.
Clean, friendly staff, and the kids had a great time while getting some good exercise!
My grandsons really had fun, safe and spacious, laser tag, arcade games, skating, food, jungle gym and a VIP area.
Whats better than Sparkles??? Nothing !!!
Great little places for people of all ages.
It was very fun. The kids loved it as well as the adults. It would be better to buy your own skates and bring them because the ones there are gross. Also I wish they would lysol areas more, have sanitizer available for customers to use in certain areas, and require masks to be worn.
OMG!!!! We had a wonderful time @Sparkles! Customer Service, DJ and Food everything was truly appreciated for a much needed night out.
I only give it one start bc one of my five kids enjoyed skating. The place is ran by a bunch of kids with no management skills or customer service skills. Didnt offer promotion for unlimited $25, instead I found out about it after I had paid for all individual activities for my 5 kids. The manager made all sorts of excuses as to why she couldnt upgrade to unlimited without paying $50 extra even though inhad already paid $25+ for each child and didnt know about the unlimited bands. She made excuses that her front door staff was brand new, but she was the one who had originally rang my family up to begin with so not sure what the other staff had to do with it. She finally agreed to just let them have a round of laser tag but then she disappeared when she was to give them the passes so.we waited on her for 15 minutes. When I asked the other girl to find her she just kept standing there taking other customers while we waited and waited. We finally located her.Took forever for laser tag to even start. While we were waiting we visited the concession stand. The pizza was burnt and the chicken tasted like the grease in the fryer hadnt been changed in a while. HiC drink was basically water.I used to love coming here as a kid but it def has gone down hill and these kids need guidance. I.didnt see a single.adult there helping to run the place.
I went to Sparkles for a private event. Its a cheesy, loud old school roller rink. Its not for me, but my kids loved going there they were in elementary school. I like that they have a snack bar that serves beer, wine and mixed drinks. All mixed drinks are $10 each though which is ridiculously expensive
I went there today and yes I know I was putting myself at risk for covid but I just wanted to inform everyone that employees and almost all of the many skaters there were not wearing masks. So this place is definitely not following any cdc guidelines
Very fun experience, although I would check the schedule for interfering activities the rink hosts
My kids LOVE this place! Clean, fun, family-friendly.
A friend rented this establishment for a small party and we all had the best time! As an adult, I didn’t know what to expect, but the staff really made the evening special. It felt like they were part of the group! 10/10 for this staff
My kids love it here. I wish we had one in Cartersville.
Unsure why a parent has to pay to watch their child skate. Also unsure why they have a thermometer but when I asked if they do temperature checks the girl said I can if you want. Regardless, the girls had fun
Very fun and friendly place the kids who work here are respectful responsible and talented!! Great place for adult night glad it’s back!!
It was really fun and the price is great and Id highly recommend it for anyone to take their kids too and its a place for ALL AGES. Ill be going back.
Hands down best Family Fun experience ever. From the moment we walked in the front door at the rink until we left we were thoroughly impressed. I never write review ever, but this experience was so awesome I had to share it!We bought the unlimited package for the whole lot of us (which was a great value if youre looking to do it all), so we could skate, play unlimited laser tag, and the little ones played on their giant indoor jungle gym. We had a blast!Ive come here tons, and every time some of the staff make me never want to come back. Last Thursday, you could tell some of them REALLY love what they do because they anticipated our every need. With very few workers running the rink, I couldnt believe how well the 3 of them managed to exceed our expectations over and over. Our family had not one unmet need the whole time we were there. Sparkles welcomed us and looked out for us like their own family. Food was good too!One of my boys had a hard time figuring out his way in skates, and it was very obvious poor kid. But just when he was ready to give up, one of the managers walking by noticed his struggle, and asked if she might offer a few tips to see if it helps. She was so patient with him and lightened his mood. Then she walked with him as he figured himself out on the skates. He practiced a bit, and he got the hang of it in a snap. I had been trying to help teach him for a few months!Thank you, Ashley! I cant wait to show you all the progress hes made since you worked with him! Props to Sparkles staff for really stepping up when it seems like everything else is falling apart. Thanks for one of the most fun lifetime memories well cherish forever.
Want to have the worlds most expensive birthday party? Come to sparkles! I think I paid over $40 per kid. Why I did that math I cant explain. After all, my kid is priceless....and he had a great time. fyi there is NO such thing as unlimited laser tag....you will always be limited by other patrons signing up (understandable) and their inefficient way of sign up and calling games (infuriating). They did get new carpet recently, so it looks nice in the sitting area. The party hosts are nice. The knockoff Vader and Chewbacca are kinda.....petite.
Love this place. Great for everyone.
Was clean, staff wore masks. They ensured the laser tag was limited to a certain amount of people to ensure social distancing. Music was good and service was quick
All ages will love this...
Very nice employees went above and beyond to help
Some if the kids dont follow the rules but its fun as long as it is not crowded.
Didnt know the were closed for a 4 hour party. I get that you can rent out the whole building but come on. During these times I believe that it should be a limit. Other than that we normally love sparkles
Its a good family fun place. Laser tag is fun for everyone, just be careful when skating or playing laser tag. There is also a nice big floor to ceiling play-place, there is also a toddler part of it too. Ive been there more than once, my family loves it.
Skating is great, music not so much. All sounds the same. Not skating music. They are good about request though.
No masks . Both employees and nasty guest . Acting like they dont know what COVID is... smh
I find it ridiculous that they are charging the parents just to go seat down in place5 dollars. Ill be taking my business elsewhere
The invention of skate trainers are a game changer. Picture a wheeled walker like your grandma might use, it makes it much easier to teach even timid children to skate. They now have a childrens climbing play area (and a nice one at that.) food is available too and the prices arent terrible. They even have beer if you think drinking and skating is a good idea. Finally, lots of themed events on various nights and the prices are all reasonable.
Kids had a ball skating for the first time. Cool atmosphere, great music. Other skaters were so helpful offering to help my kids up when they fell and giving them some pointers. Everyone was so friendly. Can get expensive, but the specials on Monday night were helpful.
Everyone was great. Due to the pandemic there were barely any other people there. It was great!
Clean rink, havnt skated in about 15 years, so not much to compare it too. It was fun though!
Had a birthday party here. Not pleased at all. When I book a party I am looking to book your space and that is all! I do not want your party “host” mine did a terrible job! Sure I’m very particular but ask before you use the stuff I brought to decorate and everything. Cut the cake into slices have the party activities organized so everyone isn’t asking what are we doing! The fact everything was so unorganized from the moment we walked into the door caused everyone to ask me 500 questions the whole time. In turn stressed me out!! Stressed out to a point of I do not think I will have another party here. Also the prices are outrages on food and drink and it was so hot in the building!
Took the family for laser tag. Some of the units dont work. The response ... Thats a bummer
They have great service! Ashley who works there is such a joy with an amazing personality and she immediately makes you feel valued! Everyone who works there is great and this is a place ill bring kids all the time!
Went to a birthday party here. It was a lot of fun and staff did everything they could to make the experience memorable for my niece. The laser tag could be more organized but it was a blast all and all
A grand time was had by all.
Great place for kids to skate.
I love your skate rink and service is awesome everyone is nice its never a lot to go but I would love if the rental skates were kinda updated they hurt my feet and i always get blisters from using them but other than that i love going skating there
Very disappointed. Some one who took my call cut me off as we were talking. Too busy. On hold for long enough where I just hung up. I needed something important to me maybe not you.
Had so much fun with kids and my 50 year old mother skating she definitely surprised me that she still had it
Great place for family fun.
Fun for the kids as always. I am dissapointed that they are now charging an entrance fee for adults accompanying young children now even if not skating.
This place is NOT SAFE for little kids. Ive never seem skating rinks that allow skating outside the rink. Theres no staff stopping people from skating on the carpet. I saw little kids bumped into bigger kids who are in roller skates. Carpet is old and greasy. Entire place smells like a grease trap. Seating area are outdated and not very clean. Food selections are abysmal. Customer service does not exist, staff are rude and talking to customer behind us while working on our transaction. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Way too high!! Not worth the money!!
Tool the kids for first time after the lockdown and it was a pretty horrible experience. No fun at all.they really should of stayed closed for longer. They charge almost double what it was b4,only one person at a time is allowed in the game area at a time with a staff member that literally follows and watched u play each game until finished and then comes behind spraying and wiping.cant sit anywhere.its the first time we have went anywhere since the pandemic started.i understand having to take safety precautions but this is rediculous.took all of the fun out of it.they opened too soon
Disgusting. Even some employees weren’t wearing masks. Obviously no enforcement for customers or any sign of cleaning being done.
My grandsons LOVE this place. So glad I got to come watch them skate and have fun with friends and family. Very neat
Great place lots of helpful people especially if you are a beginner. Nice atmosphere and music. Seems like a great place for a party
I would like to thank Diane Adams for being so helpful and attentive while I was trying to plan our corporate event. Most my groups participants showed up a little uncertain of what would occur. However, we were running around (and even skating- I sure didn’t see that coming) like children with huge smiles on our faces. It was a great time, and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend Sparkles for a fun-loving group event.
Good place to take your family
Going since I was 7
