Our 5th grader started in May 2020 after we learned that somehow she tested into Algebra for 6th grade, no idea how. Her class (regular math, none EAP) was barely covering basic fractions, which terrified me. Anyway, long story short, she started in level B math, basic addition in May. To be honest we didnt like how basic it started but I get the reason they do that. They want to fill any gaps in. By fall 2020 she was well into more rigorous algebraic concepts. She got 98% in Algebra at KMS in 6th grade,it was because of Kumon. We got what we needed out of it. Kumon is not easy or fun but it works.
