Internet has an outage at least once a month. Waste of my money.

Mediacom is by far the worst most unreliable internet and cable service available. The internet goes out every day, multiple times a day. When I used to have cable with them it frequently went out and showed distortions in the picture due to bad data signals. No matter how many times you get them to come out to fix it, it does not take very long before it falls into this same pattern of unreliability. Constantly dealing with them to get them to fix things is annoying and stressful. Other members of my family, who each live in separate locations, but within this general area, have had the same terrible experience with Mediacom. The only reason I stick with Mediacom is because they have a monopoly on high speed internet service in my area. As soon as any other quality and affordable high speed internet service becomes available, I will drop them. I no longer use cable since I just use streaming services now, but I used to have both cable and internet with Mediacom, but now just internet. Sadly I have been with Mediacom for years now due to lack of other alternatives. If there is even any other options where you live, avoid Mediacom. It looks like they respond to any negative reviews here by requesting people to email them, but if talking to Mediacom could actually fix their terrible service, they would have fixed it years ago. I have already told them time and time again to fix the poor service, and like I mentioned already their fixes are only short term lasting.

If I could leave a 0 star I would. My first encounter with the customer service was great but after I found out that I wasn’t supported for wifi even after I was told I was it all went downhill. The technician left the area without telling we weren’t supported until I had to call 4 HOURS LATER and told me im not supported but would go make sure and they never called me telling me they checked again and wasn’t supported again until I had to call THE NEXT DAY. This whole service is a joke and the return modem box was never even sent til I had to call A WEEK LATER. Never use their service

Disconnected us for no reason, and when asked they said they would send someone out the following Thursday, (Disconnected on tuesday) and then they never came. Called and said it got moved to the next tuesday with no explanation. We are paying for a service we are not using. Customer service is horrific.

Its decent, at best. Was paying for a higher speed plan while actually getting a much lower one. I was paying for speeds up to 200 but was receiving much less than 100. It took quite a while before they would actually come out and fix the issue. Whenever I would call customer service, they would just tell me to reset the router (which is a no-brainer. I wouldnt have been calling them if that had worked) and once I told them I had already tried it, they had no idea what to do from there and couldnt figure out why my speeds were so low. FINALLY, after a few months of trying, a customer service rep that actually knew what they were doing figured out the problem and sent a tech. Service hasnt been perfect since then, but is much better than it was before. My speed drops a few times a day, but goes back up after a couple hours or so, which I dont think is too bad considering it doesnt seem to really slow anything down. Thankfully, Im not one to expect any form of compensation for paying so much while receiving so little, because there wasnt any.I somewhat think they try to take people for granted. Not everyone checks their speeds as often as I do, if they even do at all. Knowing that, I wouldnt be surprised if a majority of their customers are receiving much lower speeds than theyre paying for.

Billing is terrible I have had to cancel one check. So I wrote another one out and its been 3 weeks and still no showing its cashed and then you get a late bill I sent first one to the billing on my bill after that got cancelled I sent it to the Kendallville In store still been 3 weeks n not cashed so you need to do something with your billing department

Their internet service has been good but customer service is horrible. They installed service at one of my neighbors on a Saturday and I later discovered I lost my internet. I texted them about it and the person said they left a voicemail with the tech to come back and correct it. I waited two hours and never saw anyone come. I contacted them again and was told I would have to wait until Wednesday to have it fixed. So Im paying for a service that they disconnected. Im going to see if Ligtel has service in my area.

Horrible service dept. Only available service hours are during week, during day, when most people are at work themselves. You shouldnt have to take time off work and lose a days pay to get service on something you overpay for already. Get a roku or firestik, cheaper and more dependable than Mediacom.

Ive been a mediacom customer since 2013. Ive never had any issues and Ive always been treated with respect and friendliness. I will not get service from anyone else. I am a satisfied customer.

I had channels where I got picture and no sound. I had channels with sound but no picture. There were days it just didnt work at all. When I would try to call, the customer service reps always had an attitude or were rude. There would be days at a time when the internet wouldnt work. When we got behind one month, because we had to replace our tires, they shut us off at the pole with no warning whatsoever, and said we would have to pay almost $500 to get it back on. Nope. I turned our equipment in, and I will never use them again.

My husband and I moved to Angola recently and our apartment does not allow satellite dishes which leaves us with only mediacom for internet. He is a teacher and so we need reliable internet so that he can grade and get work done at home. On Thursday, the internet went out at 4 pm, we called and apparently there was an outage on our street. Internet was restored by the next morning, only for it to go out again at 3 pm, come back on and then go out at 6 pm and not be restored till the next morning. Saturday we wake up to internet, everything is fine and then at 4 pm the internet goes out. We wake up this morning, Sunday, and it is still out. We call to inquire and now we are told there may be noise in our line requiring a technician to come out. None of the times they have available work with our work schedule, they will try to send someone out on Wednesday. So that will put us at a week with spotty internet or no internet at all. After some research, other users have had this issue only for the technician to tell them they cant fix it, I would be willing to put money that that will happen to us. They cap data usage because they say that will help them provide the best internet, and yet I lived in Michigan and had Charter with unlimited internet and we NEVER experienced an outage. We had a similar issue last month with mediacom outages and they were going to credit our account, that never happened either. As soon as we can find a different internet provider we will because this is garbage.

Ok service customer service not quite prices are incredibly high I was at 210.00 after my first year for the triple play I know its only 100.00 for the first year but after one year for it to be doubled come on mediacom I think the longer you keep your customers the cheaper it should be not vise versa too bad there are no other cheaper internet providers here in noble county

Costumer service is not helpful and they dont ever take care of their customers like other providers do. They dont care to lose business and dont treat current customers with respect or help. Plain sad.
