Nice facilities, but please have your staff update the website OR the phone directory. Entire pool schedule was wrong. Kids spent all day excited to go only to find out they were closed indoor for a week of maintenance and outdoor closed an hour earlier than listed. Simple fix can save a headache.

Overall not a bad place yet it could be much better. The gym lacks amenities that are the norm in sport facilities such as sauna and state of the art machines. It gets extemely busy at times for the size and it might be a challenge to organize a fluid workout due to the machines being taken. The bathrooms are often missing important items in time of a pandemic such as soap and for some reason the organization appears uncapable of enforcing basic rules such as not having kids walk wet and barefoot from the pool to the lockers, causing the locker’s floor being wet, dirty and slippery during busy pool times. Other than that, if you go during non busy times, it’s possible to get a good workout and the personnel it’s always very nice and prompt, in a facility that was recently upgraded.

We have been going to Keller Pointe for years and participated in classes and youth activities. There is. New lady there that was rude to a group of parents that were coming in to bring their kids to volleyball. She literally asked them if they could read because they missed the large sign at the front. They apologized and were friendly about it even though she was incredibly rude. Then I go to bring my daughter to volleyball and when I went through the back door there was a game going on and nobody there to check temperatures. So I went through the front and the same lady from the week before was there. I told her there was a game and nobody was there to take temperatures. She said you still have to go through the line, that is what the sign says. Aside from the zero customer service. There is also nobody taking temperatures or doing health checks so why are they forcing us all through a small crowded door instead of walking in an area where we could actually spread out.I would check the news people working the desk and the cleanliness of your facility. That is why people are leaving. It isn’t worth the high cost!

I have been a member of the Keller Pointe since moving to Keller, but wont renew my family membership when it expires.Went to play basketball with my family yesterday and we were playing for a half hour when someone came in and told us we had to leave because we werent wearing gloves. We were given a ball by staff, so why wouldnt they tell us we needed gloves at that moment? I had no idea you needed to wear gloves while playing basketball. I have been playing basketball my entire life and couldnt imagine trying with gloves on.My guess is that someone walking the track complained about us not wearing gloves (feel proud whoever you are). Id love to see the research behind forcing people to wear gloves to a gym. So now instead of using my hands and being able to wash them frequently, you have gloves on that never get washed and touch everything? How is that helping anything, or is that just more of a placebo to make people feel safer. I guess only when someone injures themselves will this policy change.Anyway, extremely disappointed with these new rules. I pay for a full family membership but cant actually use anything except the pool.

The lifeguards are really attentive and are always completely focused on watching the pool. The gym is maintained nicely with plenty of equipment and the indoor track is perfect for hot days. The kids enjoy the pool and the camps offered. The only suggestion I would make would be to have the pool open earlier or stay open later until 8 during the week.

**Edit: the assistant aquatics director reached out to me and did advocate for my children to give them a better experience. We are pleased with the improvements made and we hope to continue to have a positive learning environment for our children’s swim lessons from here forward.**We joined The Keller Pointe in April and were really impressed. We enrolled our two young boys in private swim lessons in May. MULTIPLE TIMES their coaches just haven’t show up and we are left sitting poolside wondering what’s going on. NO ONE BOTHERS TO TELL US THAT THE COACH WON’T BE THERE. I mean this has happened several times, just happened again this morning. That leaves us having to try to explain to our young boys why they can’t have their lesson. Very discourteous and unprofessional. I have worked with the assistant aquatics director on this but it doesn’t get any better. My husband asked for the aquatics director’s information and the staff refused to give it to him. So basically the management doesn’t want to hear if their customers are being mistreated. Also, every 4 weeks their coaches change, we understand that’s the way it is, however the coach they are assigned to is RARELY the one who actually shows up to teach them. There’s a lot of inconsistency and it doesn’t seem like the folks there really care about us or our children. We were very hopeful that The KellerPointe would be a welcoming place for our family but it just isn’t.

The Keller Pointe has its perks. It is an enjoyable environment for kids. It has all they could need. However, being a former employee, I must inform those as to how the place is run from the inside. The management was changed last summer to a new manager that has made many changes that hurt the employees and make the workplace a hostile environment. The management has removed the lifeguards from taking breaks and informed them they must clean on their “breaks”. This is borderline abuse as the lifeguards are having to stand in the 100 degree heat for hours. They are not even allowed to check their phones to see if a parent or somebody else has tried to reach out to them. The manager spends their time watching cameras the whole time looking for actions to complain about. My first interaction with the manager was when the manager walked into the pool room and started yelling at the head lifeguard. This, plus passive aggressive comments, managed to make the female head lifeguard start to cry. The manager asked if she even knew what she was doing. The head lifeguard even filed a harassment complaint to HR and nothing has been done about it. The manager then had two head lifeguards following her as she pointed out stains on the ground and as to how they needed to be removed. Not the lifeguards job. but the maintenance job. She then informed the head lifeguards to use a chemical to clean stains off the tile near the entrance to the pool. On the chemical bottle it stated to keep away from children and is eye irritating. The manager wanted it to be used WHILE people were in the water. The Keller Pointe has gone downhill extremely quickly. Nobody enjoys going to work here. This must be fixed.

We went to the Keller Pointe for the first time ever yesterday. It is a nice place, but the lifeguards are not the most pleasant people. My husband, 6 year and myself went to the outdoor slides and rode it down about 20 times. We went and go into the pool to relax a little (tired from all the steps). Later my daughter decide she wanted to enjoy the slides again. We climb those stairs again just to find a different guard on post. We measure and said she is about 1/4 inch shy and CANT slide. What?? I told her we have been down it about 20plus times, she just said she cant go down. So, we hiked down the steps and to the head lifeguard. She stated it was up the the lifeguard on the post if they want to let her slide or not. WHAT?? We waited until another guard came on post and up we went again, she got to slide 6 more times to be exact. Well the last time I decide to stay at the bottom of the slide, when my daughter came down the lifeguard that WOULDNT let her slide was at the end watching kids come of the slide and starts yelling at my 6yr old telling her that she knew she wasnt to be sliding down because of her height. Well this momma bear heard it and was very upset and went right over to the head guard and told her how I felt. Its one thing to not let a child go down the slide after doing to 26 times, but when you start jumping my child is another. You never talk to a child the way she did and first of all she should have talk directly to me (the parent or my husband) For God Sakes she is 6 years old. Love the place, but staff needs more training on how everyone should follow the same rules and everyone be on the same page. Plus, how to talk to kids or talk how to talk to the parents first..

The treadmills in the gym all make a deafening whining sound lately thats so loud it gives me a headache. I have to wear headphones and ear plugs just to use them. Its so loud that I feel like Im risking hearing damage, either by simply gritting my teeth and bearing it or by drowning it out with music.Ever since the dog park has opened, there are also never any parking spaces available. People come with their dogs and then take the parking spaces meant for gym and pool patrons because there is such a small number of spaces next to the dog park itself. I understand that this is meant to be a community center of sorts, but was a dog park even necessary considering how small the lot is? More parking spaces were ALREADY desperately needed before this.No other gym or pool I have ever been to has had such an excessive number of wasps. The poisonous black ones fly around in the parking lot and sting people who are getting in and out of their cars. (Im allergic to wasps, so this prevents me from even coming during the daytime unless theres a parking space directly in front of the entrance available.)Ive never seen so many people get stung by wasps completely unprovoked in one place before. This facility used to be very nice, Im really going to miss it. Not enough to risk my life to use a treadmill that screams bloody murder, but Ill miss it.

What kind of establishment forces young kids to walk all the way up a winding flight of stairs and wait in line only to be told theyre too short to ride a water slide??????? Literally every other water park or theme park has a sign showing how tall you have to be to ride a ride located at the entrance of the ride. I mean how much does it cost to put a little sign at the entrance of the water slides?? I mean we are talking about sending little kids shorter than 42inches back down the stairs crying their eyes out. Absolutely terrible. Either put up a sign or have a life guard stand at the entrance to measure kids instead of at the top. We wont be back.

The building itself is great: always kept really clean, they have great high quality equipment (and a variety of said equipment) to use, an inside running track, both an inside and an outside pool, WiFi, basketball courts that can be used as a multi-use facility, and then several different events & activities going on the for the community to participate in. The outside is pretty cool as well. Like I said, they also have an outside pool, a playground, a dog park, open fields/wild spots (some with good, natural trails), horse trails surrounding the premises, lots of parking, and then they are also connected to the Keller bicycle/running trails that spread trough out Keller and the surrounding areas. The basketball court is professional and clean. Its always kept nice and its usually not too crowded during 10:45am -1:00pm on weekdays. Funny how I have been going to this place for almost a year and my child has come with me every time I have gone. Today, I was told that she was too young and not allowed in the facility with me. Whats funny is when a child is 10, you can leave them on un-supervised at the swimming pool. At that age, they cant even come in and sit while you work out where you can see them and supervise them. The rates here have gone up quite a bit, and that coupled with the lack of customer Service and friendliness of the employees means I will not be renewing our membership.

Ive been a gym member for almost 2 yrs now and this is my last. The problem is that they schedule events here, especially during the summer, for non-gym related activities. This week the entire parking lot and driveway was shut down for quite a while because two huge busses pulled up to the front door and stopped, blocking all traffic. People had to complain to get them to move. Today I just cancelled my workout when the driveway was again blocked by over a hundred small children for some event. It is quite difficult finding a parking place on the weekends due to so many cars attending childrens sporting events. UPDATE - Thanks for your polite response to my google post... Everyone at The Pointe was very nice and I did enjoy my time here... my problem is that, as an adult looking for a place to work out, The Pointe is not for me. I didnt realize that this is really a Family Rec Center instead of a gym. I just dont like spending time looking for a parking spot, then navigating through all the children and NON-WORKOUT folks playing... I just want to go workout, but your business model evidently focuses on hosting special events, renting out facility rooms, hosting HUGE busses, entire families coming to swim, etc. Not a gym for adults...

I brought my daughter and her friend here to go swim indoor. We are not Keller residents and called before coming to get information on what to do at the front desk. The person (Gabriel) I believe was the one who took my call was very helpful and answered my questions. So later that night we arrived around 6:10pm and waited in line to be helped. A man ( I didnt not ask or see his name) he had an English accent though helped us, but I told him it is our first time here and I am not a resident in Keller and that I needed to check in. He asked my name, and said okay you are checked in! I asked isnt there papers or other information that you need and I need to pay? Right? He said um yeah, how are you paying? I said cash! He then said oh, I dont have a cash drawer here, you need to go over there! So I did, and waited and the second guy that was going to helped me stated oh, I dont have a cash drawer, you need to go over there! So impatiently I did so. The man Gabriel was apologetic and said that their computers were having problems at the moment. Meanwhile while I was waiting, the first man with the English accent was just standing there dancing to the background music and not doing anything. He could have checked me out the whole time. By the time everything was said and done the time was 6:40pm. I dont think I will be coming back. As nice as the facility is, it is not worth being bounced around. They did tell me that they were not going to charge me the non resident fee as an apology, which was nice, but I wasnt even swimming, just the two girls were. So yeah, that is my experience that happened to me.

The Keller Pointe was my first job that I loved at first and taught me great responsibility. At one time it was an enjoyable place to work but as management has changed, this workplace has continuously declined. As a former headguard, WSI and lifeguard I know the inter-workings of this establishment. There have been concerning instances that have happened to me personally, from hostile comments from management to rules being altered for certain employees (during the 4:45am shift the female guards were told that we must complete a certain amount of cleaning duties before we were allowed to sit down and guard the lap lane swimmers while male guards repeatedly did not follow this rule with no consequences). While there was unfairness over my years here it was not enough to make me quit and leave the work family that I loved. It wasn’t until a situation in which I was headguard getting ice from the kitchen for one of my guards when a male custodian who was also in the kitchen closed the door and attempted to grab my arms and kiss me. My managers were not at TKP anymore because it happened after 4:00pm, which is when they leave for the day. I went to one of the managers from the front desk who I felt respected me much more than the aquatics managers and she was very nice and helped me take the steps necessary for what happened. At my next shift, the aquatics management called me into their office and chastised me for going to the front desk manager and questioned the situation even happening at all. I was then told “well you’re leaving for college in a week anyways so it doesn’t matter,” from my manager and that nothing else was going to be done. That was completely unacceptable behavior and after coming in on my day off with my dad to talk to the owner of TKP we learned that this was not true and that the facility was doing everything they could to get to the bottom of the situation. Due to this I never returned to work here and hope that all female lifeguards take precaution here, especially if traveling throughout the facility by themselves.

I was really frustrated with the gyms in the area. They didnt have enough squat racks, they were filthy, or they just cost way too much. TKP doesnt seem to have these problems. The gym is clean, people actually wipe down equipment (there are plenty of cleaning stations, making it super easy), and even when the place is busy, its easy to get the equipment you need by either working in or waiting a few minutes. Though it costs more as a non-resident, the cost is about on par with the Globo gym down the street.Staff is friendly and attentive. I wish the hours for the kids area were a bit longer so I could workout outside of busier hours, but its cheap and my daughter always has a great time there! I also wish the weights were better organized, but you run into that everywhere. Its hard to force people to properly rerack their weights.I havent used to pool yet, but it looks really nice and I love the idea of an indoor and outdoor pool. My daughter especially loves the playground area outside.Parking is a bit of a challenge due to the nature of the public playground and dog park, as well as people coming to use the pool. Still, I have always been able to find a parking spot without much effort.Overall, I love this place and plan to go here for a long time.

Its a family place so expect kids (and Im not sure why this wouldnt be obvious to anyone interested in joining). We have been members for years. One drawback is the lack of workout towels with membership renewal - they used to provide them free daily, and that was before they raised the prices. Im pretty sure the city could eat some cost with the increased home values swelling the coffers. I also wish they added more parking and quit crowding so many events; there wasnt any place else to add a dog park in Keller? All in all its a good, not great, gym, pool, courts, and facility. Can get crowded, but there is usually enough free space to get a workout in.

Keller Pointe is terrible if you have young kids! The indoor pool, splash pad and outdoor pool don’t open till noon on the weekends and 4pm on weekdays! Are you kidding?! I have to drive to Grapevine Rec center to take my kids to an indoor pool. During the school year the only swimming lessons offered are at dinner time, nothing during the weekdays for moms and kids under 5!!The children’s area of the indoor pool and the splash pad (the only splash pad in Keller) should be open from 9am - 12 everyday. There are almost no activities for kids either. Other rec centers have tons of camps for young kids including dance, gymnastics, art, nature, sports, yoga and others, Keller pointe has like two options, almost nothing for kids under 5. This is just so disappointing. Also, if you have a baby or might have one in the next year or two, don’t pay for an annual membership! We made this mistake and when I tried to workout after having my baby is was kicked out of the gym! The kid’s area doesn’t take babies until they are over 6 months and you may not park your stroller with a newborn anywhere in Keller pointe - don’t even try it, you will be ejected. Apparently a stroller tucked out of the way might cause a tripping hazard, but the 40 treadmills and 30 ellipticals do not???....As a taxpayer I expect and demand more from a taxpayer funded establishment. I’ve seen many comments and talked to many people about these issues. Something needs to change; most likely leadership and policies. In the mean time, I’m excited for the new Southlake rec center to open, sounds like it will offer a lot of what Keller Pointe is lacking.
