Marvelous interior it gives you a feeling that you are actually dining in a forest. About their customer service excellent from helping us to get the place, food everything was just awesome. Their sound and light effect in between gives an extra point. They also have special kids menu. And food taste 5/5. Will recommend this place to friends and family members who have kids they will surely love it.
Went here for the first time yesterday for a b-day treat. This has been the only other Rainforest Cafe Ive been too. (The other being the one on the riverwalk) Honestly I liked this one a lot better then the other one. Felt a bit nicer and more inviting. We had a really good server, who was nice enough to replaced the fries when I commented about the odd taste. (It was the seasoning)Now the food, pretty much tasted like what is to be expected. Its not amazing, the prices are high, but lets be real, you go here for the experience more then anything else. And for experience, it does live up to what I expected.
There was plenty of tables available, orders fish and chips, they were out of fish, but was offered shrimp or fish tacos!!! So i got a burger, which was good. Ambient was ok although the thundering noise they put on every so often didn’t include the roaring of the lion or the noise of elephant or monkey like in the past rainforest locations I’ve been. Gift shop was not that big, maybe since it’s in a mall setting. Overall food and service was ok.
Good for kids, just for the experience. The food isnt very good and it is very expensive. Their prices are very high, paid almost $20 for their popular salad and I was so disappointed i couldve honestly made a better salad at home. But if you want to bring the kids and get them a burger or Mac and cheese Im sure the kids will have a good experience.
We are Landry Club members so we did not have to wait. Our service was great. Our cups were never empty and our food arrived in a timely manner. Food was hot and very good. Kids loved the environment. We had a bad experience a previous time at this location but this time was great. We will be back!
Waited the food 50 minutes to arrive, they are SO SLOW! The service was okay minus, they forgot about us a lot and let us wait very long, the place wasnt crowded at all. Other then that the prices are high, but the place looks incredible! Clean, stylish, you can actually feel like you are inside a rainforest.
Nothing spectacular here. Its very loud and i didnt expect the type of music they were playing like todays hits. I think more of like a nature sound would work better. We were a family of 4. I ordered a water and never recieved it. So when my food arrived i asked for a tea. My daughter ordered a cheese burger and they didnt put cheese on it, the waitress brought us a piece of cheese on a whole seperate plate. So my daughter had cold cheese on her burger. Fish tacos were decent. Skip the beans though. Its ok. You can find better food for better price in other places so youre def paying for the ambience. I think its a one and some type thing. You experience it and then you dont go back.
Well lets say the theme of the restaurant is on point. Vines, moving animals, and thunderstorms...oh my. Which is cute...but I must say for the price the culinary side of it falls flat. The food is lacking A LOT to be desired and the service is slow(but friendly). Not sure I will be back the kids can say they did it but this will not be a restuarant we have in our rotation.
Great ambiance, great food...most DISGUSTING bathroom every time we go
The kids always love coming here! Food is always good as well.
Never have I given a place 1 star before but honestly food was mediocre to say the least and overpriced.. waiter was so slow and our drinks were never refilled..bill was over $100 for 2 adults 1 child.. we had an appetizer which was cold nasty and looked like pre made frozen food. My husband had the seafood pasta $24 that he could not eat..he said it was way too greasy. I had the club sandwich.. it was dry and tasteless with one thin slice of turkey one very sad slice of lettuce and one thin slice of cheese $17.. my son had very obvious frozen chicken nuggets with cold fries..and a store bought generic brand ice cream sandwich. ONLY worth it for the kids experience. Such a shame that such a cool looking restaurant has such bad food..I would even be surprised if their kitchen even has a stove.. I can only imagine a pair of old filthy microwaves they cook with..
The worst experience so far,Appetizers were cold, kids meals had rice & beans and didnt say that on the menu.I order a Volcano for a birthday party and came in after I went to make a payment, really horrible experience
The service was bad. They took forever and thats cuz it wasnt busy. The food was good and the theme is great. Its very clean and spacious. All I recommend is for the staff to be more noticeable with there paying customers and not take so long when a customer needs napkins or silverware.
What a cool experience. Great family restaurant. Great tasting food. A little pricey, but worth it.
5 stars because of the service every single time we go and for the environment the restaurant has. Food is ok, nothing special especially for the prices they charge but the kids love the place, always clean excellent service everytime makes it worth going back
Love the inside how it looks like a jungle and the sounds of the animals and thunder was really cool. Wasnt expecting that. Mixed drinks are perfectly made. The broccoli sucked. Was soggy and tasted nasty. Everything else was great.
Great experience. Shelby our waitress was very friendly and fast. Food was really good! Will definitely be back!
Took my son there for his 10th birthday this past weekend. I’ve never been myself and although it was a little pricy, it was well worth the experience. The burger was SUPER juicy, I had the Pastalaya(Amazing)and we added the Volcano Brownie Ice cream which we all enjoyed while the staff sang HBD to my son. Thank you Rainforest Cafe and the awesome staff for an excellent experience!!
Food was atrocious. The cost was disturbing, and the staff was very nice, but tried to get us into some weird landrys locations scheme?
Worked up a real appetite shopping at the Katy mills mall 😁 Just cant resist dining in the Rainforest 🦍 we had the awesome appetizer adventure, Rainforest burger, coconut shrimp, volcano dessert. Every dish was delicious and really enjoyed the fun spooky ⛈thunderstorms and🐘🐒🦁 animal reactions. Always order the🌋 volcano dessert, its so much fun.
Visiting family in Huntsville and we decided to drive out here to come have dinner. I remember going to the rainforest Cafe that was in Norfolk, Virginia as a kid, so it was really fun bringing my 8 year old daughter and 2 year old nephew here. The food was good, but the atmosphere was amazing. Our waitress was very kind and helpful.
It is our second time in a Rainforest Cafe and we received nothing else but excellent service! Attention from waiting staff is great and food is delicious, we did not wait too long for it to arrive to our table. The jungle theme with the animals is very entertaining and amusing, expect to hear loud sounds proper from this type of ecosystem along with animal noises, in case you take small or special needs kids. Something really important: they’re taking all measures to make sure everybody have a safe and fun visit, so we recommend this place very much in case you’re thinking about coming, you’ll not regret it!
Just a formula food type of place. If youre coming here youre not coming for a great meal. You probably are coming for a child. We all ordered different things and I can tell you the only decent meal was the coconut shrimp. The service was slow but the staff is very good and hard working . They just need more people. Restrooms are smelly and dirty although it was at the end of the night. The prices are very high .Are very high. Don,t waste your time.
Good food. Understaffed but they went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of with our granddaughters.
The honey glazed salmon was horrible $28.00 the chicken strip basket was ok.They should stick with the frozen chicken strips, cheese sticks.
It was pricey, small portions and my fish tacos and beans were too spicy to eat. I was expecting some spiciness but jeez, even my husband who eats spicier than I do thought it was too much. Youre going here for the ambiance, not the food. Kids enjoyed the ceiling sky/storm going on.
The wait to get seated is my only complaint. Im a Landrys Select Club member & waited past the estimated time to get seated. I had to constantly check to see when we would be seated. Other than an extra long wait to get seated or waiter was fabulous & attentive despite the back log in the kitchen!
Wonderful staff very sweet to my daughter who was scared and not feeling well. Excellent food. Lots of variety
Out of the 18 years Ive lived in Houston, I have never gone to Rainforest Cafe. Wow what an experience I have been missing all these years. Before you even walk into the restaurant there is a cute little gift store with all kinds of neat toys, gifts, & so much more to purchase to mark your Rainforest Cafe experience! After looking & shopping for about 30 minutes in the store, we asked for a table. I dont know what I expected to see. I was not ready for the Rainforest Cafe experience! It literally looks & feels like a Rainforest in there. Dimly lit, lots of trees/leaves all through the restaurant. A monkey attraction, with the sound, a beautiful waterfall like area with this awesome sculpture in the water! Then about every 30 minutes the lights go dark & thunder echoes all through the restaurant! Very cool! Our food was mediocre. Our cheesesticks came out lukewarm. I think my pasta had the potential of being good. However the sauce for the cajun pasta was not good at all. I tried, but it was not good. But to see my kiddos happy & enjoy the whole Rainforest Cafe experience was totally worth it. Not to mention the awesome Volcano dessert! The presentation was OUTSTANDING!! Highly recommend this place to anyone that likes fun, & can deal with loud at time!
Overpriced and really bad service unfortunately. Food was sub par bar food. Nice atmosphere, especially if you have children makes for a good ambiance.
The atmosphere was wonderful, enjoyed the animation of the jungle.I ordered the Beastly Burger and it was so greasy, it had soaked into the bread couldnt t eat it. Grease filled the basket of fries. Did not finish it, would not recommend this particular dish to anyone.Food is rather pricey..
The food was delicious! The drink not so much. I had the Pastalaya and I really enjoyed it.
Taste like microwaved food. Perfect place for little kids because they’ll eat anything. Cool scenery. Good service.
Absolutely terrible experience! You literally couldnt pay me to go back to this establishment. The manager Steven? Or Steve? Was awful. Totally unhelpful and made ZERO effort to keep my family as customers. My husband and I each had a drink, appetizer and ordered a kids meal for our son with our drinks because we could tell was going to be a wait. After awhile and after speaking with the manager regarding my concerns and him not doing anything to help I lost my appetite. So unfortunately as our meals were coming out I was asking for the check for my app, drinks & kids meal. NO WAY was I going to pay a Landrys establishment (ESPECIALLY BEING A CLUB MEMBER) anything else when the manager couldnt accommodate a simple request. Its unfortunate to that I spoke with the manager I did because as I was leaving the GM came up to my family and stated he would have taken care of it. I will never dine at ANY Landrys establishment again. The atmosphere and experience is usually great and what we really go for but not this time. THANKS STEVE! 👎🏼
I decided to make reservations here for my son and I. The environment is great for kids but the food is definitely not worth the money you pay for it. They didn’t have the straws for the character cups. The steamed vegetables were not available. The ICEE machine was not working. It’s just a lot of things they didn’t have together, and if I want with my son I would’ve left and found another place to eat. This was not worth my $50.
We had reservations at 1:30 and were seated promptly. We didnt get our drink order for 1 hour and finally were able to order our food. We then got our last food order at 3:30. We ordered shrimp, sausage and chicken fettuccine. The shrimp were like rubber and sausage was super dry. Chicken was ok though. Salmon, rice and vegetables were ok but nothing special. The experience was cool and kids enjoyed it but would not eat here again.
The decoration is beyond amazing. But the food isnt at all. Only the appetizer was good. But the chicken fried chicken and fish and chips oh no 😢 😕 . The waitress was friendly though.
I was just a normal guess arriving to treat my kids to something cool I was not disappointed everybody was super friendly I appreciate that the manager came to see me at my table a table and made us feel special
My grandchildren look forward to a visit to this restaurant so I took them on Friday. After Covid I was expecting a refreshed, extremely clean visit. We sat under one of the large birds. It was covered in a thick coating of dust and was no longer bright and beautiful even under the spotlight. I then began to survey all of the displays and found that the greenery was actually grey with dust and the entire restaurant is dingy and dirty. All three of my grandchildren suffer from allergies, especially dust and mites. I decided that I don’t deem this place a safe, clean environment for them. Clean up your restaurant Rain Forest! It’s gross!!
Good Ambiance... Food is ok... but Ambiance is superb.... will definitely visit again
It took a really long time when it wasnt very busy and the prices were pretty high for no one to check on us or drinks our entire meal. The robotic animals were cool, but Wont be going back.
Stellar service and great food made for a really great time here. Weve been to at least 5-6 different Rainforest Cafes in our adventures around the country, and this was by far the best one! All the employees, especially the manager, were really sweat with our kids. The manager even took them (our boys) on a guided adventure around the restaurant, to let me and my wife eat peacefully. Our kids were handed balloons by the handful, they were so happy. The food was also great. And on time! Try the Carnitas tacos, theyre awesome!Like, whoever is running this particular restaurant is doing an amazing job! Oh, and the bathrooms were really clean, too!We will definitely be back! 5 stars!
Thank you Andres and Steven for making my birthday special. We really enjoyed the amazing, friendly service. Can’t say enough about the yummy food. There was a minor miscommunication with the birthday dessert but thank you for accommodating. We loved it and will be back. Thank you!
The food was delicious. Nice atmosphere very pretty
Love the place. Gave it four stars because they took all the fish
This may change in the future- but I would try another RC location before going back.Landrys desperately needs to train mgmt.Restaurant less than half full on a Saturday midday, and had to WAIT 40 MINUTES FOR FOOD. Literally no food coming out for over 20 minutes.Waitress didnt know how to handle the situation; with no food to serve, she stopped coming to our table.Talked to manager, and he literally had no idea what to do. We had to tell him how to do his job and offer to comp part of our meal.
First time my daughter came here and she loved the scenery.
This place was honestly horrible. I wish their was an even better word than horrible. We were there for over 2 hours and only managed to get our appetizers until we got frustrated. The general manager did nothing to fix the problem. The whole establishment needs evaluating. Save your time and money and AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
The service was pathetic. They didnt even serve water for 30minutes after taking our order. Waited 45 minutes for a subpar burger and pasta. They didnt serve any condiments or silverware. When compalned to the manager about long wait time for food and pathetic service, forget about doing anything about it, he didnt even bothered to apologize properly.
Great decor and show with the animals and lights. Food is good but on the expensive side. Pasta bowl $22.00!
Great place! Just wish they had another location in Houston!
As a kid Rainforest cafe was a dream. A place I would go to that would bring animals to life, and give off an atmosphere you couldn’t find anywhere else. I recently took a trip there to eat with my family, and the question in my mind was, is the Rainforest cafe still the place I knew as a kid? Now as Im older, I understand that some of the magic went away because I dont have the imagination of a child anymore, with that being said, my expectations were met and I was happy I was able to relive some of those old memories. When I arrived the staff were friendly as ever, and as soon as I stepped in, all those memories came flooding back in. We were seated near the giant elephant which, if I am being honest, is the best part. I noticed that the menu was quite limited however, still had enough to satisfy the many different palettes that come there to eat. I ordered the Rasta pasta which really was just fancy chicken alfredo. While waiting for our food to arrive, I walked around as I felt a rush of happiness and memories coming back to me. This truly was a place to go if you wanted to experience a jungle themed dinner. Our food arrived and the portion size of my pasta was perfect. The sauce was creamy and fit the noodles perfectly. The chicken by itself was flavorful and honestly, I could eat a plate of that by itself. After eating we paid and I took one final look around. And all I could think of was, man this place hasnt changed at all
Atmosphere was as advertised but the food was low quality. Great service though
It is a Rainforest Cafe. Staff was great. Of the 6 options on the menu I chose the Korean Stir Fry. I would call it a stretch to describe it as stir fry but it was spicy and good enough. I would recommend some better knife skills for the vegetables (I had half a bell pepper cut into 4 large pieces).
Expensive and they never cleared the table. We finally put some of the dirty dishes on an empty chair behind our table. Food was OK and atmosphere is fun, but not worth the money.
Restaurant service was excellent, but gift shop service was disrespectful. On July 10th at 5:50pm the only cashier available there was on the phone taking whatever notes for 8min and wasn’t even looking at me on the line to maybe say “just one minute, I’m sorry“. I had two cranky kids with me and needed to leave there all the products I was going to buy.
Great experience for the kids, but the food can be disappointing and service could be better.
We waited over 20 minutes just to put our names in, no silverware for a long time, no plates with our appetizers, they forgot some of our party’s food, bad service. It used to be really good. We won’t return anytime soon.
The food was good, but not as delicious as expected. Also, my order took longer than usual (almost 40 minutes) and the server didnt even noticed until I pointed it out. HOWEVER, management went above and beyond. He personally apologized for the inconvenience, as my other party finished eating and my food was not on the table yet, and he gave us a 🌋 cake (we were planning to buy it anyway) Overall, it was a good experience.
The service was terrible. The waitress lied about things not being available and then we would watch others get what we ordered. When confronted about why other tables got what we ordered she still made more excuses. Tables came and went before we even got our food. Then trying to use points or a gift card had the waitress and manager confused and we were charged in correctly for a large sum to our credit card when we had a gift card for most of the payment. The trying to get Landry points Im still waiting on a week later.
This cafe was not all that good. I clearly read the reviews before driving about 45 minutes to get to this place. The selection of food was very small. The amount of food was very small and the taste of food was ridiculous unacceptable. The only thing I enjoyed was the drink and I felt that started off sweet until I asked for a different drink. This cafe suggests a tip and also apply it before you can say yes or no that you agree to the amount. Overall if you like seating and eating in the dark watching animals shake and being charged for that and bad food I would say yes go to RFC. However, if you like quality food you probably want to go somewhere else.
The food was good but way too expensive. The service was terrible. We waited almost an hour just for them to take our order.
The atmosphere is great for kids. I give this place a mediocre rating due to the lack of customer service waited long for every service (getting seating, getting souvenirs glass, food, and not so friendly). Food way over priced.
Great place to WOW the kids an first comers, great food an well attended.
Excelent food and ver good atention
Experience inside is pretty awesome but.. Very pricy for subpar food. Not only that but a bus boy ran his dish tub into the back of my toddlers head causing him to scream and then cry for ten minutes. Didnt bother to even stop and say sorry. One manager said theyd comp our meal (we didnt ask, he offered) and then another said they cant do that. Wouldnt even discount. An employee hurt my child. But they cant/wont do anything to try to make it right. (Not that it would make my toddler feel any better) Anyway, we wont be back.
Well, like every 15 minutes the rainforest goes off at 12,000 decibels. All the items on the menu are no less than 20 some way more expensive. The wait staff were above average definitely. I will not be visiting this establishment again, totally overpriced, take some earplugs, you will thank yourself.
A very magical place that makes you feel like you’re dining in the jungle. With giant butterflies, vines, elephants and crocodiles, snakes to large flowers this place is like a place where anyone can feel like a kid!
So much fun. The staff is amazing. Great place to spend a few hours with kiddo!
Fun!!My brothers had so much fun here. Our service was excellent and the food was great!Definitely recommend making reservations as we were seated pretty quickly with them on a Saturday.
My kids love this place and the food was great today. I recommend the burger, very tasty dont forget to ask for mustard. Alicia? I think was our server, Im the worst with names but she was amazing and very nice.
Seated us and quickly left before the wheels on my stroller stopped moving. No offer of high chair. Wrong food came to table twice. Kids meal spaghetti looked and tasted horrible. Fries tasted old. Appetizer came same time as entree. Every level of service was very slow. Some good. Chicken quesadilla was delicious. Burger was also surprisingly good.
Food was alright but service left a lot to be desired. A fun atmosphere though so children will have a good time.
Awesome place for children. The kids loved it and the food was pretty good.
