Best venue for basketball or volleyball with a first-class environment, extremely clean and they put safety first. Finally a breath of fresh air to receive top-notch service and hospitality matched with a cutting-edge, beautiful facility. They just raised the bar by 1,000% for any other facility. Having a tournament? Take it here. You wont regret it!
Just finished playing. They have 4 courts and play weekly from 10 am until 2 pm. Had a great group today around 30 people of varying levels. The group seems to pair off at their respective levels. Was so glad Angela opened her facility up to pickleball.when there was no other indoor option in Katy.. Veteran owned and operated business. I am happy to support this facility. Thanks Angela
My children play club sport’s and we recently attended a basketball tournament at this facility. There is no better place out there! The facility staff were courteous and professional, the cleanliness was beyond impressive and made the overall tournament a far better experience than other places we have been that hosted tournaments. They have a cafe with delicious food and when I asked about camps, they have onsite professional trainers for basketball and volleyball. Can’t say enough good things and if your a parent who goes to tournaments with your kids, you will appreciate all the things Open Courts offers!
Pros:Great venueGreat courtsgreat place to work on your gameCleanEverything you want in a gymCons:Problem is they will be closed randomly. No update on their site. You show up and they are just closed. Despite the fact that they are supposed to be open 7 days a week. I understand things happen, but zero communication just turns into bad business. They have a monthly membership option, but like like most businesses they expect payment every month, but do not hold up their end of the contract. This is simply unacceptable.Only one court is open for basketball. They will have 2 courts not in use. When there are guys playing full court and you just want to get some shots up or do some drills they want you to rent a court. Not what I’m paying a monthly membership for. I don’t always play full court especially, with this virus running around and of course competition level. Not sure the reasoning for this. No one has explained why they refuse to open another court. It’s like they want to force people to play on one court despite the fact that they have more space. Are the other courts only for tournaments? If so, it should be explained that it’s open court or nothing. If people are playing full court and you don’t want to play, come back later. Just be straight up.
Very nice facility. A little on the chilly side side. But very clean. A little tight on the base lines. Bit overall a nice facility. And a little pricey. But that is how AAU tournaments are.
Clean and organized place! Only thing missing is open gym times to get more space for adults. Lil pricey for one hour but its a good court and they are very friendly.
Great place but base line wall is 2 feet from court. Daughter hurt ankle on it. I would think high school boys would land right on pony wall 3 wall
Very clean facility. Very respectful and enjoyable space. Owner Angela is amazing!! Attention to detail and pleasure to be a member of this facility. Very spacious.
Open Court Sports Complex is like playing on a pro court. They have pro-style goals, bleachers, professional score boards, concessions and you don’t slide around like your junior high basketball court. I love their open gym, lots of fun pickup games to help you get some exercise and improve your skills. The people that play there are friendly so you don’t have to worry about “street ball shananagans”. Definitely recommend!
The environment is very friendly and very clean, as soon as you walk in they check your temperature at the door; face masks are enforced; I love it. They were helpful friendly and very nice.. I will purchase a membership. Next time I will bring my son he will love it.
The facility is excellent, and the owners are very caring and accommodating! I went to play pickleball for the first time, and there is a great group of people all willing to help out and show you the ropes; I had a lot of fun and will be coming back.
Very nice establishment! Very clean and staff very professional! COVID precautions well defined and followed through!
Very nice place to play a basketball tournament but with 2 small issues1) The baseline spacing is really cramped. If you press as a team is such a small space you can really increase the pressure due to the small baseline inbound area.2) With the multiple 3 pt lines for high school, college, WNBA, and nba markings on the court, inexperienced kids take dumb deep shots. This isn’t so much a knock on the court but with our kids specifically, they forget which line they are lining up at and routinely take nba 3 or deep nba 3 (smh). We tell the kids but kids do what they do.
Very nice complex could use a little more parking outside and a few more seats inside
Best facility in Katy for aspiring athletes to grow and reach their full potential whether it be in basketball, volleyball or personal training.
McNeese State Men’s basketball team was very pleased with their experience here!! Great court with a friendly staff!! Highly recommend for anybody needing to reserve a court!!!
Love this place for Pickleball Open Play....Check in is welcoming & easy....pickle folks at this facility is why I love this place.....Angela is running a top shelf Facility...
Open Court is an awesome place! They have four beautiful full basketball courts and offer volleyball, pickle ball and a gym. The owners are veterans and are very involved in the business. A great place to get some exercise or host events. Highly recommend.
The Northwestern State men’s basketball program could not thank Angela and her staff enough for welcoming our program for our conference tournament. When we come back to Katy we will definitely be using one court again due to the professionalism of the staff and facilities.
Safety-conscious, and considerate, professional management. Would highly recommend!
Beautiful facility & the owner is so nice! My friends go play basketball all the time & have never had any problems
Amazing building, the staff is well organized and very kind. Doing great work with everything going on during the pandemic and keeping everyone safe!
Strake was on fire just getting to Big H and my nephew and team was showing out...go Strake!!!💚
Terrific facilities with a personable staff. Today, my daughter attended a basketball clinic designed specifically for girls. It was run by Coach Jade Johnson who was a 2012 Seven Lakes High School graduate, who went on to play D-1 and international ball. One word: EXCEPTIONAL! My 13 year-old hooper left feeling inspired and motivated to kick her game up to the next level.
Excellent facilities.
It is a very nice facility but unfortunately I will not go there again. The floor pattern, lighting, and colors are not conducive to play pickleball. We just cant see the ball at all.
The staff was friendly, plenty of parking beautiful facility, and nice clean restrooms. If you want to play out of the heat or Sun this place is the BOM, they even have bleachers for your fans, and a weight room. Check them out!!
Amazing facility and super kind staff
This is an amazing facility really well ran They provide hand sanitizer check temperatures and as you exit each player gets a Gatorade outstanding customer service
Kinda chaotic getting in; but once inside, the courts and gym was nice.
Awesome Facility and Staff ♥️♥️♥️
Great facility
Awesome courts, tons of space, and extremely nice staff to me and my friend when we went to workout there!
Was at this location over the weekend of April 2-3. Everyone at on time trying to get in the door, not organized at all. Needs more staff to help out in front area .
