Brought my Honda walk-behind lawnmower to Mason Road Lawn Equipment for service. It needed a new transmission. I was told it would take 2-3 weeks. It is now 7 weeks later and they dont even have the part, which costs about $50. They could have gotten it from Amazon in 2 days. It is hard to go 7 weeks without a lawnmower in Houston in the summer. They keep making excuses, but I really dont need apologies - I need my lawnmower repaired. I finally just retrieved my lawnmower and will take it elsewhere for service.It is a shame that this merchant has gone downhill so badly. I have used them for repairs for over 25 years. This experience is unacceptable.UPDATE: Instead of taking the mower to another shop, I just decided to repair it myself. I ordered the transmission online. Although Mason Road Lawn Equipment told me the part was not available and there was nothing they could do about it, I found the part available at many websites. I ordered it on a Saturday and it arrived on Wednesday. With shipping and tax, it cost $58.I watched a YouTube video that provided step-by-step instructions for changing the transmission on a Honda mower. It was easy and took me about 30 minutes. No problem. It now works like new. Although I would have gladly paid the $200 that MRLE quoted for the repair, who knows how long it would have taken for them to get around to it.

The staff and service here is GREAT. I would rate my experience here at a 5 star but the wait time to get a pressure washer carburetor cleaned out is over a week and usually thats something we only do when we are ready to get some work done. That being said, staff is VERY knowledgeable and definitely takes good care of your equipment.

Fixed my gas power pressure washer and oil change. Under $100. Only thing is, they didnt call when finished. I just ran by around the time they approximated. Was ready to roll.

Didnt have what I needed

I take all my lawn equipment here when it needs servicing and they always do a great job and always provide a quick turn around on the repairs in order to get me back up and running.Their pricing is very reasonable and they are upfront about their charges so there are no surprises.Heads up, theyre tucked back behind a strip center so theyre a bit hard to find the first time you visit.

I’ve used this company to fix my pressure washer and they did a great job. I just dropped off my lawn mower to get repaired. A little hard to find, you have to drive behind buildings to get to them.

I was researching online for a highly-rated repair shop where I could take my Troy Bilt 550ex and this shop was the top option. The shop is hidden behind the strip mall; use the 3D Pho restaurant as a point of reference and drive between the buildings. Upon arriving, I was kindly greeted by Mr. Rick George the shops owner who inspected the mower and took my contact information. Within 2 days, I was able to pick up my mower and it is running once again without any issues. It turns there was water inside the carburator and it needed to be rebuilt. One thing of note: if the repair is under $100 they will go ahead and automatically fix your equipment. If you need an estimate beforehand, you will have to pay a fee. Overall, repair cost was reasonable and I was very pleased with their great customer service. Highly recommended!

I have used them many times to repair my small engine equipment, get parts and now I bought their recommended Echo trimmer. Never disappointed.

Guys were awesome, came in with a broken pull cord for my small Honda engine. Didnt have a new, fixed mine within 15 minutes and saved my day. Cant ask for better nowadays.

This place has not disappointed me yet.I visit or use services three times before leaving a review. This review is no different.I have dropped off my mower twice and trimmer once. Every time Ive done so is during their busy season. And yet I get the equipment back promptly.The front office is professional and willing to answer questions quickly to get to their other customers, while still making you feel taken care of.The price properly reflects the equipment that is fixed or replaced.

I dont write a lot of business reviews but, these guys earned one by saving me money rather than taking it. Its not necessarily easy to find (theyre on the back side of the buildings you can see from the road). Its a very small shop. Being the beginning of summer, it was hot. And it was extremely busy so there was a short wait for service...It was worth the wait.Id walked in looking to buy a new string trimmer. Id done a bunch of research and after burning through three Craftsman brand trimmers in two years, my inner Tim the Toolman Taylor had taken over. I wanted the biggest, baddest, meanest, most powerful string trimmer made and I was ready to pay for it.Instead, not one but two of their sales guys actually talked me down to model that was $100 cheaper. It was lighter and still had plenty of power. I spent the difference on a new blower in the same shop. The sales guy assembled, fueled, and started both units there in the shop so I knew I was leaving with equipment that worked. When this growing season is over, Im taking all my equipment in to these guys to have it serviced as well.

Just had my annual lawn mower tune up performed at Mason Road Lawn. Quick turnaround, reasonable price and mower starts on first pull.

This is the place to get your lawn equipment fixed. Customer service and skills are 5 star. Because they have lots of business, dont expect next day service. Plan on dropping it off and wait 2 to 3 weeks. But worth waiting.

Bought a carb rebuild kit for my mower when it got clogged. I had to go back for the proper gaskets, since they didnt sell me the proper kit. While I was there, I asked about how the needle seat should be installed. They looked and told me that my carb was ruined because the gas had corroded the port where the seat is and that I would need to buy another carb from them. That didnt sound right to me since its not an old mower, so I asked someone else that had experience. He showed me how to install the seat. I was able to fix the carb with the parts I had and now it works fine. I basically feel I was lied to and almost taken advantage of. I will not be a customer of Mason Road Lawn Equipment again.

I have lived in the area for 8 or so years now. M.R.L.E. is by far the best choice in the Houston/Katy area...Ive been to 3 other places in the West Houston area and Im sorry but you will only find Hateful, Scamming, Low-Life, p.o.ss...Ive been Ripped-Off $500+ from one place, the constables showed-up and gave me a bunchof crap for trespassing when all I was doing is trying to get what I paid for... sure, my attitude was bad in the end but I can only handle so many sheisters before I snap. And last but not least the other place had a very nice show-room and many great things for sale but they claimed they were service providers...Um no, they are not. It took them nearly 3 months to get an incidental part. Finally I checked M.R.L.E. -guess what? They had the O.E.M. part in stock.(I never realized they were a part provider) but apparently I was wrong...I have been going to this place for 7 years now. I take my lawn equipment in there every year. Ive taken my Generator there for service a couple of times, and theyve also fixed my childrens go-kart.The service has been nothing less than satisfactory. I have found my Master small engine repair shop at Mason Road Lawn Equipment.I say this of my own freewill... I have NOT been asked to do this from anyone other than Google search- which I came across in search of the business hours.These guys will help you with all of your small engine needs.Good Luck!!!
