Ive been very pleased with this brookside. The staff are very knowledgeable even on much older machines. They were able to give me suggestions on how to fix my old machine on the cheap and keep it running until I can afford the oem parts. Theyve got my business indefinitely.

Bought my D130 there in 2013. Outstanding service and sales. Everyone from the technician, parts, delivery/pick up and sales are outstanding when it comes to customer service. No hard sell and good solid advise on whats best for your individual situation. I highly recommend them.

Tried to support a local business but was not treated as a local customer. Upon entering was not greeted by any of the staff, no one even attempted to make eye contactPurchased an ATV which had to be brought back due to Transmission problems, a brand new ATV. They gave it a quick wash but had little to no air in the tires, was missing emblems and told me it was just a sticker and tried to downplay it. When I asked for one they made it seem like they didn’t have a “just a Sticker.”Had to stand up for myself to have it replaced for a new vehicle, they attempted to fix the first one as I stood outside in the sun for 2 hrs. Again none of the staff communicated anything to me, had to go into the shop and ask what the problem was.Finally got a new vehicle after wasting an entire day, brand new vehicle had to bring it back as the spark plug was not connected. Obviously they do not look over the machine before they give them to a client.That machine now has 40 hours on it, had to bring it to a different dealer as I do not feel comfortable with the Brookside Katy location. Machine needs a new carburetor, only has 40 hrs.Called to speak with a “manager” parts guy chuckled at me said they didn’t have one but will transfer me to service guy.Don’t waste your time or money here like I have, will be a memorable experience for the wrong reasons.

The worst service, I will never buy anything there.I bought a chainsaw then one hour later when I started to use it, it broke down, I dropped it to the store and they wanted to charge me for repair it and new parts! Then I call to the warranty and they said that I don’t have to pay anything, I came back to pick up the chainsaw and again they insisted on charge me $53 just to put the bar and chain that I have to pay also. (3 minutes to do that).All the people there are in bad mood, now I understand why they have few customers!

Brookside is very professional in every area--sales, parts, and service. I have purchased several tools and a lawn tractor there. Sales people can answer all of your question. You can be confident that youre getting what you pay for. They can fix whatever they sell, and they always seem to have the parts you need.

The parts and sales departments are great I would give them 5 stars all day. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The SERVICE department is a 0 star! The last time I took my Z535M for warranty work, I had to load the mower myself and it was left outside parked on top of an ant pile. So I had to fumigate it before I could use it. I have to drive 40 miles to SHOPPAS in E. Bernard to get real service,

Have been taking our equipment to Brookside for years...always have been great to us on the sales side. The service has never been great but never bad enough to leave a review on it until today. My dad had taken my Stihl chainsaw in for service right before Christmas of 2018. I used the saw one time to cut the end of our Christmas tree off and it worked fine. I didn’t use it again until July 10th. A family friend of ours had a tree that fell on their house and we all got together to cut it away and haul it off to a burn pile. I bring my saw out and it doesn’t fire. I try and try all that I know to do but it never fires. So I took it back to Brookside today. Tag still on the case with the work order number on it. I explain to the guy what it was doing and he says to me it probably needs another flush and will be $175. Keep in my mind this is what my dad just paid before Christmas when they went through the whole saw. I explained the saw has sat for barely 6 months and asked if there was a way he could look it up by the work order number still on the saw he told me there was no point it was going to be $175 regardless. A brand new saw would be around $300 so no point in paying them again to do a repair that didn’t last the first time. Needless to say my family and friends will never do business with Brookside again.

Customer Service is pretty good up front. Guys out back were very helpful when I picked up my grandmothers chainsaw. Plus they have a really good looking young lady as their secretary thats really sweet when she answers the phone. Awesome place after all.

They have a nice clean store and have lots of options for John Deere products .. But john deere service parts they rip customers off with there over Price john deere diagnostic fee and labor fee and yes even dilvery fee high $70!! 40 ok 50 no problem but $70? Thats a brand new battery P.S. they dont fix your problem the first time..they dont expect after market parts or different brands parts just because they only want you to pay warranty parts for OEM John deere parts only ..diagnostic fee over $300 for 3 hrsLabor fee $115? Or $110 per hourParts fee not cheapThey dont give warranty on their parts .. I guess unless you buy their warranty when product new or what everIm.not a happy camper .. Might even go to a different brand mower for next season
