I have been working with Hodgson CPA for a number of years now. The service over the years has deteriorated. Hodgson CPA appears to struggle finding good employees to manage the workload. Bob Hodgson him self is a poor communicator and most irresponsive to inquiries.
Very attentive and knowledgeable. Spent the time and put forth the effort to get my mess corrected and back on track.
I own my own business and was wanting some help on budgeting, growth for my company and taxes. I sent an email that was provided on their website. I waited a day and no one called. I thought ok, maybe that part of the website isnt working well, so i didnt judge them.I called and let them know I sent an email from the one listed on the website, but no one responded. They apologized and gave me an email to Melissa. I forwarded melissa my email, waited another day with no response. So I called back and spoke to the front desk person again and said to them that I had gotten no response from Melissa. The front desk person said that she would take my number, give it to melissa and she would call me back after lunch. I also emailed melissa again as a reminder. Still nothing/ No response.I then called back the next day after 1pm and spoke to the same front desk person. She once again apologized, took my number again, and said she would personal take care of it the next day, first thing in the morning.I called back that next day, again, and spoke to the same front desk person, and told her melissa has not called me or emailed back. Her response, the person who can answer your questions is not in this week. My response was, shouldnt someone have called me back or email me to let me know this info? See said yes, and apologized again. She then put me in hold so she could check something. After 3 min on hold, I hung up. I did that for 2 reasons, 1. I have initiated all conversations, reached out to them on many occassions, I should not have to hold now. 2. I did it to see if they would call me back. Guess what, no call back.Bottom line, if I cant trust them to do small things, like call me back, or email me, then how could I trust them to do more complicated things like help me make business decisions. Im Going else where.
