Texan Mechanical A/C and Heating in Katy, TX - My review - This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with and extremely unprofessional. We paid cash for a new unit on February 27th and the owner is the rudest person I have ever dealt with. My husband had a dispute with their fee on a drain pan issue we had this past week, and I wanted to resolve it. The owner called me, refused my payment (I recorded the call) at that time, then hung up on me. The fee was originally 80 bucks, but since the owner was angry at my husband, he decided to charge us $210 (again this is on the recording). Then owner sent me approximately 10 texts with more threats, such as calling the police and he sent me a text stating he was canceling our 10 year warranty on our NEW UNIT from Coleman. I will also be contacting Coleman. I have also contacted the BBB, HOWEVER, they are not members of the BBB.....no surprise there. Complaint to licensing board is next.Response to owner: I NEVER refused to pay.....EVER! I told your husband that I had no problem paying. He screamed at me and refused my payment. Then he sent me non-stop threatening text messages. We can just be honest and let this be and a lesson to us on who we make future service calls to. Your husband, the owner, sent me a text that he had CANCELED our 10 year warranty. Just be honest. I was also just threatened that you would call your attorney for me leaving a review on my experience.

Thanks Mike & Kristi for helping out with our new A/C, heater and water heating units. We have used Texan Mechanical for a few years now and they distinguish themselves by explaining the issue and suggested solution/s to the problem.Even though it is costly to replace these units, both Kristi & Mike worked with us to provide a competitive price without compromising on quality.Thank you guys!

Great service! Awesome people! Their Platinum Service contract is totally worth it! Texted them that house wasn’t cooling on Thursday afternoon, came out same day and did repairs the next day. House was cooling by lunch time. Will continue to do business with them.

I hadnt had the need for an A/C guy in years, and didnt know who to call. My neighbor just happened to use Texas Mechanical last year and said they were very happy with them. I called. He showed up on time. Very friendly and helpful. Fixed my unit quickly. Charged a fair price.I definitely would recommend these guys.

Wonderful company Mike came and took care of our problem. Was thorough and honest about the problem and what it would take to make it run efficiently and correctly. Kristen the office manager is so friendly and called to let us know of any delay etc. they will definitely be our go to for our A/C and Heating from now on.

I called up Texan when my AC was not cooling. They came out the next day and noted the coil needed to be replaced. Turned out the price for replacing the air handler was 20% more than replacing the coil so I went ahead. They came out 2 days later and the work was done in ~3 hours. The service personnel were very professional and focused on the task at hand. I would recommend Texan Mechanical.

We had our downstairs AC go out on Sunday during the Labor Day weekend so we called Texan Mechanical. They sent someone out within 2-3 hours. He checked the unit and discovered a short circuit in the circuit board on the AC unit. He got the AC back to running for the weekend and told us he would be back on Tuesday when the business that had the circuit board was open. He returned on Tuesday by noon and replaced the circuit board. Things are back to running now and we were definitely happy with the professionalism and customer service we received. Texan Mechanical will be out go to for AC in the future.

The tech was on time and went straight to work. He charged the unit and inspected the interior coil. Unfortunately, it requires a new coil unit (pricey) but the amount estimated seemed to be in-line with other providers. I will have to update once I get the actual price for the new install and if the unit performs better or worse with the new parts.

In an industry that sets apart contractors by their integrity, this company has committed the lowest of low act by stalking another businesses’ page (my own) and private messaging our customers that have commented on our advertisements. This isn’t a good look for your company. There is plenty of work out there for everyone. Take the time to invest in your own company and don’t try to be a grimey no good thieving competitor. A contractor who has no integrity is the last person a customer wants to do business with. Next stop is our attorneys can hash this out. DO NOT CONTACT MY CUSTOMERS AGAIN. This is your final warning.

Texan Mechanical AC and Heating were able to help me out of my crisis yet again. Unbeknown to me the circuit board had burned out and about 3/4 inch of ice had built up in 78° weather at night. I was able to take photos and text the problem so they knew what their strategy would be.Christian from this company was able to get a new one and install it. I am so thankful for Texan Mechanical AC & Heating.

Our AC went out last week and called Texan based on a neighbors recommendation and we are glad we did. Outside unit was shot. They were able to come out and fix the problem same day.
