I have been coming to this nail salon for 3 years and will not go anywhere else. I usually go to Tammy for my services and I cannot say enough good things about her. My nails always look perfect, she does exactly what I want, and I’ve never had to wait on her to start my appointment even when I show up early. I have had services done by others in the salon and they do just as great. The owner Jon is so friendly and really takes care of his customers. All I have to do is text when I want an appointment and he gets me in and knows exactly what I want and with what technician. Honestly I’ve never been disappointed in this place and will recommend it to everyone 10 times out of 10!

I will not be coming back, The French manicure on my nails is awful, the pictures really dont show the drill dust, and cloudiness of the polish under the clear polish, I went back in to show the manager how disappointed. I was with my French manicure her response was looks like polish smudged and then offered for me to come back later. seriously come back later I am here right now! I just told her no thank you! I will not be coming back!

If you are not going here you are going to the wrong place! I get my nails done once a month and I have never had any problems with my nails lasting that long, I could probably get a couple weeks out of them if I wanted. Jon and Ruby seriously know what they are doing and I always get treated like a queen! Seriously the best nail shop I have ever been to!

My nail tech did a fantastic job! Took a small nap while waiting for mani/Pedi to dry. Ive missed going there due to COVID. Everyone was masked and following distance protocols. Only very minor (cant call it a real complaint) issue was the music was loud in the pedi area. But if it was more crowded, it probably wouldnt be.

The owner was incredibly unprofessional. He was shouting about how many people he had to turn away because they were so busy. He made me and my three sister feel bad because we didnt make appointments and that he was basically bending over backwards to get our nails done there. He made me incredibly uncomfortable. No one deserves to feel that way paying for a service. I will never go back.

I rarely write reviews and I hate to leave bad ones, but for $84.00 this was such a disappointment. I did the basic pedi, which I understand is the cheapest, but she barely got any dead skin off and it lasted maybe 5-10 mins total. She did not use gloves which I found odd. The pedi tubs also did not have liners.I also got a gel mani and it turned out okay, but she did a poor job getting the dead skin off around cuticles. I have an obvious cut on my finger that she was very rough on causing me to wince several times. They also charged me to take off my gel polish that I had on when I walked in. Not sure if that’s normal, but I’ve never heard of it. Overall very disappointed and will not be back.

Love going here they do a gr8 job. Yes they help doing your nails the way you want. My ring fingers are sparkly in the hopes of some day having put a ring on it.

My full set French tip acrylics are about a week old they’re pretty much ready to fall off worst job I’ve ever had (Mary was my technician) Was told over the phone that my daughters gel manicure and pedicure would be $22 when I arrive there they told me it was $50 😡👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I went in yesterday for a pedicure and a french nail dip for MY WEDDING that is Saturday. I wanted to move my appointment earlier in the day (2 days prior) but was assured my 4 oclock appointment is what I wanted as they really wanted to take their time since I am THE BRIDE. I left this place in tears yesterday. After already being stressed to the max, I enter the salon to Jon running around screaming, literally, and having a melt down every time the phone rang. It was like they were hearding cattle around the salon. He screamed (so the entire salon could hear), how he has to turn down 100s of walk-ins and how his employees are required to work faster to accommodate his high customer demand. Well Mary did my pedicure which was mediocre. However, whom ever the girl is who sat in chair 3 was beyond horrible. After explaining I wanted it simple and just french dip for my wedding, she begins to very aggressively start grinding my nails to the point of them feeling like the were on fire not to mention the number of times she ground my cuticles. Then we get to the actual dip portion and I have never in my life (I get my nails dipped locally every 2 weeks), had someone so rough and have zero remorse. She literally popped my fingers and then yelled at me to relax so she could do her job. Then after I point out that she missed a large portion of my thumb she processed to tell me her customers help make her nail jobs look good and Im the reason mine look the way they do. I was livid. I said no more as I was at the brink of tears and just wanted to be done. Jon rings me up, never asked about my experience, or even said thank you. He wanted me to enter his raffle tho (which when I asked how, I was told read the sign as he walked off). I spent $90 dollars on my nails and look like I got a $30 job for my $30,000 wedding. I am beyond devastated as any bride would know - I am crunched for time and dont have time to go elsewhere. So while theyre might be some good artist in this salon, the business practices are far from acceptable and they are more worried about quantity versus quality. This is one customer who will NEVER BE BACK.

We had a girls day out. It was myself, my Nieces and my Sister. It was fun and the people that work there are really nice. My wonderful Niece, Taneshia treated us.

Always clean (it has always been clean, but with COVID they have gone above and beyond in cleanliness!!), the best management extremely professional and nice, beautiful salon, and great work. I started going to Gel Nails one week after moving here from another state, I found Gel Nails just from driving by. My nails were a mess from moving, I went inside and John greeted me I told him I had just moved here and wanted to make an appointment. Long story short everyone was busy so he said he would take care of me himself. John took care of my entire appointment and my nails looked Awesome!!!! Lee now takes care of me and I thank her so much for the Wonderful job she does. Thanks to everyone there too!!!!! It’s been 2 years now and I don’t plan on going anywhere else to get my nails. Not sure who this Tyler guy is! He has NEVER been to Gel Nails Im sure! Jon runs an incredible, MORAL, ETHICAL, honest, and amazing business here in the Northland. Not only is he fantastic to his employees but insanely generous with the community. Always giving back; supporting Nurses, Teachers, EMS, Law enforcement etc....always going above the call of his business to give back to our community. Anyone who has ACTUALLY been to Gel Nails knows that. You walk through his doors and he treats everyone like family. There is a reason people rant and rave about how awesome this place is. I drive over an hour to get my nails done. The technicians are all excellent. Whatever you want from simple to complex designs. You just tell John what you are looking for, set up an appointment and I have never had to wait more than 5 min. They often take walk ins quickly as well. If Mr 1 star Tyler has a bad experience I would love to know More details of when he was at gel nails because I personally think it is a lie and should be removed.

Gel nails and spa is literally the best nail salon in Kansas City, hands down. Jon is nothing but transparent, honest and loyal to both his staff and his customers. I have never had an issue with my services. I have never had to wait, even when simply walking in without an appointment. Jon runs a tight ship with scheduling. Not only does Jon know me by name but most if not all of his staff does as well. I am always greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Jon’s pricing is fair and the quality of service is always there. Jon is a family man and applies that same code to his business. I truly feel like I am treated like family. I would highly recommend going to gel nails and spa if you want outstanding service from welcoming and kind technicians!

Jon, first of all, is absolutely amazing. Super kind to his staff and customers and ensures quality work. Kevin is my nail artist of choice. I dont use the word artist lightly. He is quicker than any nail tech Ive had in the past but always does a stellar job. Ive never left this salon disappointed or anything less than happy for that matter. They may be on the pricier end but you do get what you pay for, and I have no problem paying an extra $5 or $10 for stellar quality.

I have been using Gel Nails for several years. I am always happy with the quality of my pedicure and manicure. My service is consistent between technicians and I can expect the same great service regardless of who does my nails.

I normally go to a salon in Lee Summit. Now that Ive moved, its a bit of a drive. This place was recommended by a friend. So, I gave it a shot. Lynh took excellent care of me. It had been a few months since my last trip, so its safe to say, my toes looked like they could snatch a fish out of the river. As a welder, my feet take a beating in boots all day. Man, were they rough. I went with the works. Got the hot stones, wax, whole nine yards. She spent the better part of an hour working on my feet. Sanded my heals, trimmed and cleaned my nails, and laid the coolest coat of gel Ive ever had. Found my new girl. You should give them a try.

The place is very nice and clean but the lady that did my nails didn’t shape my nails right at all. i asked for simple coffin shaped white nails and all of the nails were unevenly shaped. costed $50 and a nail broke within a week just from a couch cushion. overpriced cheap nails. will not be coming back.

Everyone here was very nice and helpful. I got a pedicure and it has lasted a month with no chipping. My feet felt so nice after. I also picked a light pink and after painting one nail the tech noticed it was really light and offered to get a darker shade for me. I was happy she picked a better color for me. Will for sure be back.

We had a baby shower for my sister here yesterday and it was awesome! The staff came in two hours early on a Sunday to accommodate our large party. We had the entire salon to ourselves. Everybody was able to sit back and relax while getting pampered. The staff even helped us load up all the gifts, food, etc at the end of the shower. Jon and the Gel Nails staff are hands down the best!!!!

I was recommended to “Gel Nails” by a coworker and I am in love with their work. I don’t normally do anything to my nails since i work with my hands at my job but I’ve heard juch great things that I had to try it. I typically hate my nails for they are frail, rounded, and never grow out evenly. Lisa shaped my nails perfectly and I am very IMPRESSED. The entire team is friendly and has amazing customer service. Saturday was my first time ever going to this salon. I am very pleased with the service I had done. I had heard many great things about this nail salon and decided to give it a try and do not regret my decision one bit. Everyone was supper friendly and the atmosphere is great! I will be making this my nail salon from now on.

UPDATE: The owner is willing to help will help repair the nail. He was in disbelief at first that one of his techs could do this, but gave me higher end ointment and will repair the nail with acrylic on top as it grows out. Updated from 1 star to 3.-----------------------------------------------The technician sliced my right big toe nail straight down the middle with a cuticle trimmer, then pursued to paint over it. It will take months to grow a healthy nail back and Im in pain.

I absolutely LOVE Gel Nails & Spa! I moved to the area about 6 months ago and have been going to them for about 4 months. They are super friendly and its always very clean. They help entertain my 3 yr old while Im getting my nails done also, which is awesome! I can take any picture of a design and they will do it for me. Ive never had an issue with bumps in any of my nails. And they guarantee them also so if any break you can go back and they will fix it free of charge. But Ive never had to worry about that because the quality of my nails is always amazing. The prices may be a LITTLE higher than Ive paid before but I dont have a problem with it since the service and quality are always on point. And to be honest, their prices are a lot cheaper than some of the other places Ive gone to in the area before I found them. Ive been getting my nails done for about 15 yrs and I highly recommend Gel Nails & Spa...seriously. Go see them. Jon and Ruby are total sweethearts. You wont be sorry!

Lynh did a fantastic job with my pedicure. I was telling my mom that I usually have SOMETHING to complain about when I leave a salon, but I dont have anything bad to say here (except that it was quick, and Id love to spend more time in their massage chairs!) I loved their feet sanders, I laughed at first but my feet are so smooth. She was very nice, very sweet, and my feet look so nice ❤️❤️ Ill come back for a manicure another day when I have more time.

Jon is always updating the product line as well, it seems every time we go in he has some new colors to choose from and if someone is missing from our usual crew he asks about them by name. I love this place and I dont see myself going anywhere else anytime soon. I am always taken care of when I go here. Im offered beverages and other services that they provide. They are always very gentle and kind when asking me to turn my hand a different way or if they need me to wash my hands. Overall every time I visit I am very satisfied.

Customers BEWARE!!!! Horrible worst pedicure in the Northland! Taking advantage of teens and treating them poorly! Charged for pedicure but NO top coat and NO massage plus extreme disrespectful service!! Especially if teens are going without an adult! My teens visited this salon with having a budget in mind and declined a few extra services costing $60 in addition to basic prices from the technicians that clearly work off commission. They were treated with great disrespect of very rude customer service with eye rolling, laughing and making fun of them in Vietnamese, plus skimpy service. I reviewed their video and had a friend translate.....Im in complete shock with the mean and nasty things they were saying about my teens in addition to other customers in their shop! Sad they are allowed to treat others in this manor and taking advantage of young people. I would say all beware they are only interested in swindling innocent patrons and making a laughing stock out of them...what a disgrace!

I had never gotten a manicure before and everything from setting up the appointment over the phone with Jon to actually getting the manicure with Ruby was fantastic! They had so many different polishes to choose from and Ruby was gentle and patient in letting me choose what I wanted and she answered all of my questions!The shop itself is clean, well-lit and welcoming and everyone inside was so friendly! So disappointed in my pedicure! Technician acted like the basic pedicure I requested wasnt worth the effort. I was in and out of the chair in 17 minutes and felt like she was rushing me out the door. Nails were uneven and polish didnt go to the sides of some of the nails and polish was left on my skin. Also didnt see any indication that tools or the basin had been sanitized. Ill be going elsewhere in the future.

This nail salon used to be Nail Studio, recently changed to Gel Nails. Before the new owners took over, the previous owners were so nice and all the customers seemed to be happy. Me personally, I had been having my nails done by the owner for 16 years. They decided to leave the business which is fine, after all those years I would be burned out too. However, the new owners jacked the prices up, they were rude, all ladies talking in their native tongue (which I think is so rude) they were all just bitches. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.I had gone in for a back fill on my nails (pink & white) and from the $30 I was being charged, they tried to say that the previous owners was giving me a deal that the price should have been $50. That kind of money would pay for nails & a pedicure with the previous owners. What a RIP OFF!I didnt pay the $50, I only had $35 on me. I threw it on the table and told them I would never be back and that I would be writing a bad review for them. Who do they think they are anyway, and lying about what the previous owners charged. GET REAL! Dont go to this place, they arent worth it.

The customer service here is fantastic! I see them every 2-3 weeks, always get whoever is available and am usually super happy with my results. Well this round I had some peeling/bubbling going two days after my manicure. I called to explain what was going on. They were super kind, worked me in within 30 mins, redid all the polish, and didn’t charge me a thing! I will go back again and again!

This salon has been under new ownership since last summer. Jon Tran is the owner now and has worked tirelessly to turn this salon around. He prides himself on quality service and quality work. At other salons, customers can sometimes be uncomfortable when the staff speak in another language throughout their time there. Jon insists that his customers are comfortable during their visits, so his technicians will always converse with you and each other in English. Absolutely the best place in Liberty!! Everybody is so nice and professional!! My nails have never looked this great!

My daughter and I went in for gel nails just before vacay and of course the service was great and the nails looked fantastic. Unfortunately...2 days into vacay our nails started to peel and chip. I sent a message to Jon and he replied immediately and told me to come back in as soon as I returned from vacation. He made sure we were taken care of and that our nails were fixed free of charge. Great customer service here. They take care of their clients and they are always having a good time in the shop.

I have been going to Gel Nails & Spa for over a year now. Its the best place to go. Jon & Ruby are the best & makes sure you are happy while you are there. I will recommend them to everyone

I moved here in January and went to a few different nail salons in Liberty and Gel Nails and Spa is by far the best place to go. The staff is amazing and my nails look great. They dont speak their native language to one another in front of clients and Ive never had to wait. They have something like 300 gel colors and it seems that every time a new color comes out, they have it. They also have 4 sugar scrubs for pedis that smell and feel amazing.The owner, Jon is very personable and sincerely cares about his clients and takes pride in his salon.I had a nail break under the gel over a week later and when I went in to get it fixed, they fixed it with no questions asked and didnt charge me.If youre looking for a great place to get your nails done, try going here. You wont regret it.

This is the ONLY place I go for my nails. Love the staff and love the owners. They call everyone by name, treat you kindly, remember what you like, and care about their customers. The shop is very clean and they have a ton of color options. I will not go anywhere else and I dont trust anyone else with my nails!!

Loved this place! John was very nice and I loved all the girls there. I loved the pedicure and first pedi in a long time that actually could smooth my heels! This is my new go to place for sure. VERY clean!
