Without a doubt the employees its strausers are the most knowledgeable hardware store employees in Kansas City - bar none. Their prices are sometimes just a smidge higher than the big box stores, but the employees friendliness, knowledge, and willingness to teach is well worth the 5 to 10% difference and cost in my opinion.

This place probably has that screw youre looking for. They also have popcorn and a bunch of other things youll need for your projects.

This is my favorite store. The price and products are great. Service from staff is fantastic and nowhere we get this type of service. I strongly recommend this hardware store. I live around 8 miles away, but this is my store for all my hardware requirements. You experience when you visit frequently.

Drove down from Liberty to rent a trap to get a feral cat. No one on the phone bothered to tell me they only rent with a credit card. I lost my credit card a couple days ago and have only received my debit card, so instead of renting at $10/day I was forced to buy a $50 trap.To me it’s common sense to tell a customer interested in RENTING that there are RENTAL policies.

If Strasser Hardware doesnt have it... nobody does. Been in the same location since, well, forever. They have a large selection of anything needed for home repair and improvement. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Went today for some ice melt and a young man volunteered to help me load it into my car. My go-to place for anything needed around the house.

Polite staff, but their online ordering is sub par. Poor website design led to an article of clothing that was much too small being delivered, and a return window of 30 days. Wont make that error again.

Easy to find what I was looking for and prices were reasonable.

Was looking for a power tool that was on sale and out of stock at Home Depot. I came in and asked if they could price match the tool for me. Not only did they match the price, but they even gave me a little better version for the same price! Great selection and very friendly staff. Will definitely be shopping here instead of Home Depot from now on.

A true hardware store, BEST IN THE METRO!

I made three phone calls yesterday afternoon to ask if they carried air conditioner covers needed for my mother-in-laws newly installed condenser unit. The first call was abruptly ended before I could say hello. The next two were answered by a gentleman who put my on hold after telling me hed contact someone in that area. I waited five minutes each time then hung up. After the third time I merely signed onto Amazon and ordered what I needed. I go to Strayers for specific items, mainly metric, stainless and grade eight fasteners. Ive had similar issues in the past when calling to see if specific items were carried in stock. Its simply not always practical nor cost effective to drive to the store to see if one item is in stock.

Drove all the way from Blue Springs because store clerk assured us he could help. Was ZERO help. Wont waste my time in the future going here.

Good hardware store. They have every bolt you can think of. Prices are a bit high but I suspect its because of it being a home town store.

Fair prices, bolts are a tad pricey but they always have the drawers fully stocked so its guaranteed theyll 100 of any nut and bolt you need. They also have a large stock of stainless steel and chromed bolts and fittings.... As a motorcycle and car guy this is greatly appreciated, along with their huge selection of grade 8. Staff is pretty knowledgeable and helpful. Support your local family owned business and skip home depot or lowes and go here.

I placed an online order with Strasser and they were great! Everything shipped the next day, was delivered very quickly (like amazon prime fast), and everything was exactly as ordered! I couldnt have asked for more.

Strasser has everything! Great inventory and Mary was smart and helpful. Im not a professional and it was a relief to talk w someone knowledgeable who did not make me feel as dumb as I am regarding hardware and home repair.

For me, myself, this location HAS POOR customer service. Very unprofessional over the phone. When I asked if they had window well covers. The gentleman on phone told me we should have them... I responded, you should have them? He says uh huh. So, I told him, I NEED to know for sure. I dont want to send someone down to pick one up and there arent any in stock. He responded Im sure we have them...I get there and there isnt the size I asked for. No more Strassers for me! Big box regardless of my dislike shopping at the Depot.

Lots of changes in 50 yrs of shopping, I miss the staff members that were more knowledgeable. Theyve held onto a couple gems. Mary and Gayland they get an extra star.

Young man working in tool area was very friendly and helpful. I was in around 530 pm Tuesday nite.

Every time I go there nobody seems like they want to help me. Most ofthe time when I buy something I’m giving the wrong part. For Example I’ll hand them a bolt and say what drill bit do I need.I’m always given the wrong size and have to return it. It’s happened on numerous occasions from plumbing to electrical stuff.

Not the most convenient hardware store from my house, but I almost always find what I couldnt find at other stores.

If you cant find what youre looking for at a box store, then go to Strassers. Been there for 100 years and folks are probably going to use it for another 100 years.

Im 65, fairly well-traveled. Other than a coupla decades outa the KC area. Ive spent many a trip to Staussers. It is a well-deserved legend in town. Many of the employees have been there for years & most of the staff will either take u 2 what u need or give u really accurate information on what u want is located. Cant say enough good things about how they r run & the surprisingly large inventory they keep. Highly Recommended!
