If I could rate this company with a 0.1 star I would. The internet service that this company provides rural communities is downright shameful, and despite an army of complaints, it seems CenturyLink has offered no solution or even expressed that they give a care at all. My parents in rural Missouri pay 3x the amount that I pay for my wifi, and Im not kidding when I say that you can hardly send out an email. You CERTAINLY cant stream anything, have multiple people on the wifi at one time, and work/schooling from home is a complete non-option. They are greedy people who are completely overcharging rural communities for a service that would be worth 5 cents in an urban area.
There are no words that properly describe how awful their customer service is. Last couple time I called due to an outage resulted in nothing after over two hours on the phone. The call center is in India which wouldnt be a problem if there wasnt kids screaming in the background as well as the sound of chickens! Its like your being punked.
AVOID AT ALL COST!!!My internet was gone out twice since March.In March, it took two weeks for my internet to be repaired. The technician came the first time for literally 3 mins and left before it was fixed. I had to make another appointment for him to come back. I spent well over five hours on the phone, and one of the many operators I spoke to tried to get me to give him my social.This time around, my internet went out a week ago today. I have had to call every day because every day I have had an appointment and no one has come. I have talked to ten different ppl this week for well over five hours again and no one has come and I still don’t have internet.
They don’t deserve a single star. Ive had 4 appointments to fix my internet that’s been down for two months and they just now contacted the contractor to find the break and repair. Get hung up on constantly and they will double charge you until you figure it out. Absolutely worst company, worst customer service, and worst service technicians ever. You will be doing yourself a favor paying the deposit for starlink or hughesnet, small price to pay for a better all around company.
Terrible customer service. Terrible phone service. I have now spent about 5 hours on the phone with them and the call has dropped on their end multiple times. They can’t even use there own service 😂😂😂. Highly disappointed. They claimed to be sending a technician out (not sure why) and then after the appointment they sent a message saying they would try to send someone out the next day. One star is too much but it wouldn’t let me leave less. If century link is the only provider in your area and you need to reach grandma save time and money, drive there and tell her.
After 6 weeks of moving in to our new home in 7 bridges where the only Internet provided is centurylink and we still have no service. The best they can say is that they are working on it. No real answers except each person blames another department and passes the buck.Pathetic is the nicest word I can use for this company.
Have made multiple attempts to contact all their kc area facilitys and have no luck with none of them. Their communication is just as bad as their services. Very unhappy with the lack of care
Avoid century link. Scam company.They are quick to take payment without knowing if they can provide service. Paid for service but never received it.Expect to spend hours on hold with David from India who cant answer any of your questions then transfers you to Steven from India who cant answer any of your questions. Repeat this upwards of 20 times. After hundreds of hours and weeks of being transferred youll give up. Then one day, youll be off to work ans some shady looking fellows are in your yard without notice there to run a line. You leave them there to work hoping not to be robbbed and come home with internet. No surprise you come home with no internet.Please avoid this company. Ive warned you.
Literally stole $600 from me 2 years after contract ended. Shame on those who work there. Document every interaction you have with this company.
If you ever have the opportunity, do NOT get Century Link phone or internet service. I am on hold right now while they try to find my account. An account that they already billed me for, for service that has not been set up yet, that they were supposed to install 11 days ago. But they cant find it. Even though they have my name, the service address, and the phone number they assigned me. This is only the latest in a saga a month long where they hung up on me several times, had multiple different errors in their end where my account didnt work properly, etc. Now all I want to do is cancel the account and live without a landline phone, but even though they can bill me for service that hasnt started, they cant find me to cancel the account. I have spent over 10 hours trying to set up a $45/mo phone line. What kind of scam is this?
Internet service has been intermittent for for 3 weeks. I call and get eternal hold for 45 minutes until it disconnects me. I cant live chat with anyone online because the internet drops me. Ready to switch to satellite after they have dug up my yard twice and still noReliable service. If anyone at Century Link reads this call me, because I have tried calling you.

Terrible customer service. When you call you get a robot, that hangs up on you after solving nothing. Internet hasnt worked properly for the last 3 months. They sell 25 mbps and up, but you only get .5 mbps. Yes, point 5.
Terrible service but can’t drop them cause no one else provides service where I live. Service goes out every couple months and the technicians never show up when they say they will. It always takes 2 to 3 phone calls and complaints to get it fixed. If I could give them a 0 star rating I would
Sat on hold for 40 minutes and was transferred to three different people just to cancel my services...
Without internet for 6 days and all I get is trust us it will be back tomorrow keep in mind they have said this for 5 days now. And we value your business of course you do we pay and get nothing. Anywhere else that is called robbery.
