(UPDATE: it is now Thursday, your office is about to close. Nobody ever called me yesterday or today, left me a message, etc. I still have a full/over flowing bin of trash sitting out on my curb, that most likely will not be picked up until NEXT TUESDAY.)--We have lived here for about 3 weeks now.. 1st week, we missed trash day because we were told Wednesday instead of Tuesday. Then told by someone they would be out to get it for us later, never showed up! No problem! 2nd Week, we were so overloaded with trash that we had to take it to my husbands work to throw it all away. Then after calling the office for about 5-6 days straight and no replies, we were overrun with trash again.. and finally when they called me back, told me it would be a week or so before we got our toter! This week we finally got our toter, and sat it out this morning (TUESDAY) AT 7 AM... The time I was told.. Nobody ever came to get my trash! And now the office wont answer or reply. Very upset that Im paying for a trash service that doesnt seem to care.
Requested new trash can over 1.5 months ago due toMine being broken, have called 4 times since one timeBeing told that I would be charged. I was able to resolve that and was told a trash can would be there immediately. That did not happen called again 2 weeks later and same results. Today marks another week and a day that has went by without resolve. The receptionist that fields the calls is rude and has no interest in helping resolve issues or customers experience. The account rep provides proper service with no follow through. I have contacted John who I was told is the manager. (Which was a chore due to lack of follow through from team) John has assured me that he would hand deliver the new one today so we will see if that happens. I am frustrated that I have spent so much time on such a petty request and I am upset that I have to post this review, however I feel it may be the only way to resolve my issue and possibly help curb this from happening again.
I have to consistently call them every week for them to come pick up my trash. Trash would sit outside for days and they wont get it. What am I paying for? Very rude and tried arguing with me.
Some debris from one of their dumpster trucks fell out on the highway and cracked my windshield. I called and John said they would pay for it or I could take it to a shop they use. My glass guy was cheaper, so I got my windshield fixed out of pocket and sent him the invoice. He said he would mail a check, weeks went by and the check never arrived. I called, he said I am waiting on the owner to sign it. A month later I went out to their office the owner flat out said I am not paying for that. I filled a claim with their insurance, and american waste, lied to the insurance company and said they didnt have anything in that truck that could have fallen out. What a shady character, do you really want to do business with a company like that? $164.00 is what I am out
Joke of a company missed my trash pickup last week saying it wasnt set out called to have it picked up went back and forth with them to get it picked up kept saying it wasnt set out when it was set at edgeof drivewayfor the past 2 weeks now . Come home this morning half of it picked up with my cans still Half full.
I have had a great experience with American Waste for many years! I know I can count on them for our event restrooms, hand wash stations and dumpsters, even when I give them very little notice. They take care of my needs and they are always courteous. I would highly recommend this company!
After Nationwide Waste Service canceled my restroom trailer 11 days before my event, I was scrambling trying to find a replacement. Shannon was quick to help! She wasn’t sure my area was in their servicing range, so she found an answer and called me back immediately offering me the same restroom at an even better rate. American Waste Systems helped me more in a few hours than Nationwide did in a week!
Robert and the American Waste Systems team were timely, respectful and did a fantastic job!I rented restrooms from them over multiple days for a remote event and they were well maintained, on time and great to use.Their rates are fair and their product is great! Would highly recommend.

Theyre very rude on the phone they have missed my house for over two weeks and also I have left messages about double billing with no return call
Dont do business with them. The lady on the phone could not answer any questions and when I asked to be moved to someone that could she hung the phone up on ne. Any place that cant respect me and my time doesnt deserve my money.

Why would i pay for a service that does not get done at all? I had a month’s worth of trash because they would not pick up. One day i came home to my can turned upside down and trash all over my front yard.
Sent a message and Susan responded right away. Our company will start service with them on January 1 2021.
Look out for the drivers of these trucks. They seem to think the truck gives them a right of way.Upgrading star count from 1 to 2 because of the very professional response from the company.
I work for John Arwood at Arwood Inc. The negative review that is on this company was put here erroneously. It was meant for another American Waste in a completely different state, which is not affiliated with this company. We have put in to have the review removed, but in the meantime, I would like to say that these are the people you want to call if you are having an event. I have worked with Shannon on numerous jobs, and have never had one single issue. They have some of the nicest restroom trailers in the nation, and their stand alone units are super nice as well. I would suggest American Waste Systems to anyone that needs portable facilities of any kind, and/or dumpsters.
