My experience with Elwood Staffing has been excellent thus far. I contacted them April 26 to see what opportunities they had available, and spoke on the phone with Madison. She told me what positions were open and urged me to come to the agency and apply. Madison and the rest of the staff at Elwood were exceptionally professional and patient. Madison most of all demonstrated excellent customer service and was personable throughout the entire process, and made the experience enjoyable and personal. It was refreshing not being treated like just another number like some other staffing agencies I have experienced before.I was hired on same day, and enrolled in health benefits immediately, which is also available through them at a rate cheaper than the health marketplace! Ive held my current job since beginning my first shift on April 28, and I become union in just another month! I recommend anyone having a hard time trying to find work at a decent rate of pay go through Elwood Staffing. You will not be disappointed with the level of care they have for their people.

If there were a negative start, I would give it. They posted a job that I had qualifications out the wazoo for. I called and specifically noted that I was interested IN THAT POSITION. I called on Monday first thing, Ok, come in on Wednesday and well interview you. So I went in, interviewed, filled out the paper work. They then said, oh we filled that job yesterday. WHY waste my time then. WHY not interview sooner. They had nothing else I was qualified for. WHY when I asked about that position when I first got there did they string me along. A WORTHLESS EMPLOYMENT AGENCY.

I was referred to Elwood from another agency and been employed with Elwood since. Elwood employees are very professional and is a friendly company to work for. I referred a few friends and family that was seeking employment and theyre satisfied as well. I love how the ladies at Elwood go above and beyond to find us employment.

They was dope, Sophia helped me get in fast she was kind and helpful.

They’ll tell you that they have positions for 20$ an hour driving forklifts just to get you out to the office and then when you get there they only have forklift jobs at 13 an hour. Or less. Waste of time and effort.

I worked for about a year with this staffing agency and I have no complaints whatsoever. Other staffing companies are like yeah, well call you if anything becomes available, but this Agency got me a job (A good one at that) on the same day, like want to start tomorrow?, straight to the point, didnt waste my time. I liked that. Also, Sophia is amazing, she always was available and assisted me with everything I needed help with. They dont offer the best benefits ever, but they are legit and will get you a good job without wasting your time on unnecessary bureaucracy.

Elwood is the most sloppy staffing company I have ever been with. I never got paid on time so I had to continually go up there or wait on a check, They lie to you about a job so you can just take it.I would HIGHLY recommend Areo Tex or Kelly services if you want a REAL job and want to get paid when you was promised! 👍

This place has so much work going on it is insane! I walked in to fill out and application (all of the gals in there were super helpful), I got my app done, met with one of them and by the end of the interview she had a full time job in mind for me to start working on the next day. I have been working at my job now for a few weeks and it is all due to these gals and all the hard work they do. All the ask is for you to communicate with them and show up to work, if you can do that, they will find you a job!

The company Elwood itself is a great company but the NKC office is far from it. I accepted a position there taking a substantial decrease in pay to have the opportunity to learn more about the industry and expressed from day one my intentions. I did everything I was told and learned as fast as possible management changed and the office manager brought in one of her friends and put her above me and still wanted me to help train her. The office manager Sophia began to not like me once this was brought to light. She pushed me to take PTO and then when I used it she fired me. They bad talk all of our associates and wouldn’t even interview anyone that came in and had a felony conviction. When I applied for unemployment she disputed it and then used the system being down against me when I took the time off and said I didn’t formally put it in the system when she assured me she would take care of it. Resulting of a denial. I’m going to appeal it to the fullest and have hired counsel to bring this location and all of its dirt to light. Thank the Lord I have counsel to represent me without being paid. They think it’s okay to try and ruin people’s lives. Not mine as they soon shall see. Again Elwood as a whole is a great company but the NKC office are snakes they are 2 face pretend to be your friends all while snaking you from behind. I would choose a different location if your considering using Elwood.

I had a really bad experience with them. I scheduled an interview with them and took the time to do their employment application and testing which took quite a bit of time, also I took off a day of work and confirmed before the interview the time and location. When i showed up the girl at the front acted like she had no idea what I was talking about, i showed her the email with interview time and she told me to wait. When she got back to me she said the person who interviews is out and told me to come back. I explained to her that sometime later that day would be best as I had planned my schedule around it and took off of work. She said they would call back that day. I never heard back from them so I sent an email and asked about rescheduling, and again they never even responded. The location was a mess, unorganized and it was uprofessional of them to not even give me a call back saying no thanks. would not recommend.
