MEI just completed a total remodel of an old elevator that used to shake, rattle and roll whenever it moved between floors. Our experience with MEI, their management and workers was one that even our housekeeping staff commented on. A housekeeper stopped me in the halls to comment that the work space was left cleaned, vacuumed and everything in place every time they worked there.The elevator remodeled was one that is in a critical place in the building and has a very heavy ridership. Everyone comments on how smooth the ride is and what a great difference it has made especially in their confidence riding.MEI has always been very responsive when we have had needs with any of our elevators. I am very grateful that we are working with a company like MEI who is responsive in a reasonable timeframe.

It doesnt matter what kind of problem comes up Rob and the guys at MEI are always there to help out, make suggestions or whatever it takes, they make it happen. Documentation is always available when its needed, they are on top of upgrades, they help with new installs and always make suggestions that are in our best interest. Ive worked with MEI for over a decade as they helped keep a very old elevator functioning. Great response time when we really needed them.This year MEI installed a brand new elevator which we are thrilled to say is safe and reliable. The installation went really well. They finished ahead of schedule (when does that ever happen?) and the installation technicians were terrific. Great communication between MEI and our staff.

Im a maintenance tech for a property that owns 6 elevators. Any time theres an issue that I cant resolve with a reset theyre quick to make repairs and very informative regarding the operations of all the equipment.

MEI charged me twice as much as they should have for my annual elevator inspection with KCMO. I was not advised that the cost would be double what it was the prior years. They refuse to adjust the bill. I canceled my contract with them after 30+ years doing business together.
