My son was treated with care after his passing the staff was great very patient with us at our time of need. Everything i planned for my son beautiful homegoing celebration was done perfect they made sure everything was perfect for my baby .During a very hard time in my life they made planning so smooth everyone i encountered was very loving and caring .I recommend anyone who is looking for funeral services to look no further contact them we sincerely thank you Golden Gates for sending my baby home the right way .

I just want to make it known publicly so that Steven or whatever the gentlemen name is that was the Director for my great great aunt funeral service today can fix their way of doing business and handling those whom entrust their loved ones with the Golden Gate family. I’ve seen Golden Gate give superb service until today.All 3 gentlemen that assisted the service today act as if they didn’t want to be there. Attitude after attitude from their body language to the tone and response. My great great aunt service felt rushed which was expressed by several family members. Programs were purchased for an additional $175 by me in which I paid out my pocket, I included an extra page for the collage and brought my own paper all the way from California and when the service was out of programs I requested more and their response was “you need to see the family”, hmmm I am the family which was my response. I paid for those programs and I paid a major portion of the funeral with my hard earned money and flew in town to be here for it. The money isn’t even the highlight.As those who a family entrust to do their part, there really shouldn’t be any questions about the decisions made nor an issue with a request especially when ALL 3 gentlemen working this service were sitting in the back of the funeral in the foyer not doing anything, was not attentive to the service needs throughout the service and on break smoking cigarettes outside according to one of my aunts. It was that hard to get up and go grab a few more programs for my family of my deceased aunt. Who cares who was late, it was a service that needed more programs in which we were denied and told to see my Aunt for more at the cemetery in which that is where she would receive the remainder of the programs.The cemetery was a rushed job. Got there. Made their little statement and was out of there quicker than you could blink. I tried to express my concern to Steven before he left and he could care less, said that was their custom of doing things and if there was an issue I could call Monday and talk to someone at the office. Not an apology, not a expression of it not being what it looked like and came off as. He just played it to the left.I’m very disappointed and displeased with how my family was handled today. The only person that I was happy with was Laura Wallace as she played and sang her songs at the beginning of service. I have some history with a couple employees there and I’ve never seen ppl mishandled before like today, but maybe because it was ppl I knew working the service and I know they absolutely have a heart for people and to assist those in need.I hope this is a learning lesson for the team that worked my aunt service today. And hopefully the next family don’t have to deal with the piss poor service that was offered to us.

During the hardest time of my life my family and I tasked Golden Gate with the celebration of my mothers life. From start to finish the staff was nothing but amazing towards us. My family and friends were more than satisfied with the services. We had no complaints at all. Staff was very loving, caring and very patient with us. This is the most amazing funeral I’ve ever attended. The gospel message was beautifully and clearly presented in song and the message. My Uncle Charlie Davis Was truly honored by all of the Golden Gate staff. I don’t even feel right naming them as staff. They were sincere throughout. Absolute the worse my mothers body didnt look llike her. Then they rushed the service. They didnt allow you to see the body one last time before they cremated the body. Soon as the service was over they hurried and snatched the casket out and replaced it with someone else. I wouldnt recommend this ghetto dump to my worse enemy

Ive been to many funerals in my 44 yrs here and ive only experienced the crowning down south at funerals, so for them to do that at my moms made it even more special. I recently attended my first Home Going Celebration at Golden Gate Funeral Home. I was extremely impressed by what I observed. The staff was very professional and polite to the family and friends in attendance. I was also impressed with the staff assisting the family by providing a musician that blessed us with an anointing voice. The sound system was great, you could hear the music load and clear. They also had the capability of playing a CD that was played later in the service. The staff also assisted with reading the acknowledgements and condolences. I also observed flat screen TVs in the Chapel that Im sure could be used if a family had a DVD of photos that they wanted to play. And then the closing of the casket........IT WAS AWESOME. Ive never seen anything like this is a service. I loved how they honored our beloved one. I would highly recommend Golden Gate to anyone!

He offers several different service options that are very affordable and handled all of the work with no hidden fees. Golden Gate has terrible service. If i could give no stars I would. They are very disorganized. The receptionist talked to me as if i was getting on her nerves. We ordered pendants with the cremains and had to two separate pick up days then they had to mail one to me because they couldnt order it ...their communication is unprofessional they told me one thing and it turned out to be another. The pendants they sent had string substitutes instead of chains. They sent the wrong demographic information to the state so now i have to het names changed on the certificate of death. The entire process with these people was awful. I still am unable to start my grieving process because im still cleaning up the mess from golden gate a month later.

DiMond and his stellar staff were truly Heaven-sent for my family in 2016 when we lost my little brother Jacob from gun violence. My brother died from a fatal gun wound (a result of a fight gone wrong at a party he attended). My family had never experienced pain like this before but GOD has not failed us! Gods presence, comfort and peace was shown and given to us through so many people (family and friends).
