The tech support business can be like a utility- you only notice it when things go wrong and the nature of tech is that something will inevitably go wrong. Fortunately, through good planning, the latest equipment and training, and good people, K12itc minimizes problems and keeps districts systems running through good and bad. They are knowledgeable, professional and responsive! I wish I could hire them for my home tech needs!
Of the last two years that we have been under contract with them, the service has been deplorable. Simple IT tickets (changes to Active Directory, Policy changes, etc) that would normally take minutes to complete, have taken weeks, and their “cornerstone product - Albert” has caused us more problems than one can imagine. Last year alone, the majority of all of our IT issues were actually caused by K12itc; corrupt Windows images, bad scripts, WIFI problems, printer deployment problems, failure to follow up…and the list goes on and on. In one instance, a bad windows image/script made our new laptops inoperable. When they couldn’t figure out what the problem was, we were left with a “…sorry, there’s nothing we can do.” A constant source of frustration, K12itc proved over and over again to be a disappointment. If you are looking for a network management company, you might be better off looking elsewhere.
I could go on for hours with my experiences with K12, but to keep it short they were the worst company I ever let into my school. Train wreck on all fronts and in the end it took legal action to break the contract. Stay away from this company. You will waste money, time and morale in your school.
This is a great company, with a leadership team that is active in their community and active in their business. They hire great team members and work hard on behalf of their clients.
