The people inside were nice and patient. I had no problems getting a car unlike other places were I booked a reservation, CONFIRMED that it was booked and that they had cars, only to show up with no available cars.Even as I was leaving one of the workers saw me looking at another car and offered to clean it so I could swap for it if Id like, AFTER spending 30 min cleaning the car I was getting.I would recommend this place, especially because I got a car, same day booking, in less than an hour.

THESE PEOPLE STEAL!!! These people stole my friends registered firearm out of the rental it was left in within less than 25 minutes, knowing that the person was coming back for it realizing they had just left it. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE BROKE CLOWNS!!! The manager of the store was a part of this thieving process and did not care whatsoever, nor did they offer to roll the cameras back. When getting a rental - AVOID this place at all cost due to unethical management and employees!

Horrible place. Made reservations only to get here with no cars available. luckily a lady brought back her rental while I was there. Now Im being charged more because its an SUV. Its not my fault they dont have any cars thats I made my reservations for. Now I will be late on my trip. Thanks Avis. Dont waste your time if your planning a trip. Oh there was a van there buy a customer said he kept getting pulled over because of the tags. .... Since my review comment I have been placed on the Do Not Rent List. Hilarious.

Most importantly, the employees at my location were very kind and efficient.However, you need to fix yourself, Avis.I made a reservation and pre-paid online. Arrived at this Avis location and was told my reserved car wasnt available. Was told that there would an up-charge for a different vehicle. Was then told that there was an additional $250!?!? hold fee for using a debit card… Was then told I needed two forms of identification to pick-up a more expensive vehicle than the one I had pre-paid for and reserved online…Avis… I reserved a car that wasn’t available, pre-paid for it, and was charged more than double to “hold” my card and question my identity. Fix your fleet… don’t offer cars that aren’t available. Stop making your excellent employees be bad news deliverers.First time car renter. Last time Avis renter.

I was having problems with my car so I came to avis for a rental at 5:30pm the hours posted says they close at 6pm when I showed up at 530 the gate was open, the open sign was on, the lights in building where on but the door was locked and no employees in sight. I called no answer I waited until 6 and no employee showed up to close the gate. This is extremely un professional and caused me to miss a day of work and pay for Uber

Had an emergency and needed to get a rental. Popped in 5 mins before close, and they had already shut off their systems and rudely told me they wouldn’t rent me a car. I don’t know what kind’ve management they’re under but who shuts everything down before actual close? Need better employees who actually work in my opinion.

I have done business with Avis for 12-15 years now. I consistently get good rates by adding coupons etc.I also like their fleet selection.But my review is based on this specific location on State Ave, KCK.I give them 2 stars for being friendlyBut, it really all ends there for me.My car wasnt ready.I left 90 min late for my highway trip because of that. My vehicle had clear maintenance neglect. The back tire was very low on air.The radio system wasnt working.And if I hadnt already had luggage loaded before I noticed....oh yeah...and if I wasnt already late leaving the city I would have returned it. And I did have to stop twice on our road trip to add air to the tire.Come on Midas.

This car rental place is outstanding. It is family operated. The owner Lee is very friendly, attentive and accommodating. He makes sure that clients are satisfied with everything. The service is fast even on a busy weekend. Cars are sparkling clean and in a great condition. 5 stars! Happy with everything.

We don’t use credit cards and don’t have any so needed a place that took our debit card. We were involved in a car accident and not from the area so were in a desperate situation. We got in and out within 10 minutes, nice guy at the front desk.

On two separate occasions, I have set up a Saturday 8am pickup at the beginning of their office hours. Both times there was no one in the office until 15-45 minutes after that time. And when I was served they took their sweet time and took even longer to get me my car. On one of those occasions they gave me a broken car and I had to return to trade it out. If you need to rent a car DONT DO IT ESPECIALLY ON SATURDAY

Ive never had such bad customer service from a rental company, and I rent A LOT.Starting from the beginning, although the guy running the office was extremely nice, it was very disorganized. The car he tried to put me in had a check engine light. So I was give another car that smelled like an ash tray (I was not warned of this, though all the windows being down in 45° weather should have clued me in), and the car was filthy on ththe outside. I take part of the responsibility for not noticing the giant crack along the bottom of the windshield. I had just gotten off from work from a 12 hour shift, an hour before going in at 830a. I drove straight home (a 5 min drive), parked, and went to sleep. I noticed the crack when I got back in 8 or so hours later. I called the office while they were still supposed to be open and no one answered. My call was automatically sent to customer service who transferred me to a dept that was supposed to know how to amend the damage paperwork. They did not and I was told to go to the office the following morning when they open and see if they could take of it. Again, the guy was very helpful (though they never seem to answer their phones) and changed my damage form. Did I mention this car said its oil change was past due everytime I started the car?Moving on to me trying to extend my rental for four more days. I called customer service but only had the email with the reservation confirmation number because my contract is in the car. I asked the guy if there was another way he could look it up. Phone number, email, credit card? He told me he could do it with the car number. I dont process car rentals everyday so I assumed that meant the license plate number. Thats not what he meant. Its the number on the keychain, though there are several. And when I finally finished with the extension process I asked for an emailed receipt of the transaction so i could have the price difference on file. I was told, I cant send you anything but I can repeat it for you. So I have nothing but that jerks word that Im not going to be charged a ridiculous amount. The gist is, what their customer service lacks in knowledge, they make up for in rudeness. Will definitely be the last time I use Avis. Hertz may be a bit further from me but they have comparable prices, picks you up, has never given me a car with issues, or treated me so rudely.

Poor service. I attempted to pick up a vehicle after I made an online reservation through their website. As soon as I got there the person behind the desk stated that he attempted to call me to tell me that there were no vehicles available. I never received a call. I did receive automated text messages from Avis regarding alerts for my rental.I tried calling customer service regarding this issue so the problem could be corrected. I was hung up three times. I do not recommend nor will reserve rental vehicles through this company.

The people are really friendly and nice however im displeased with the avis company policy of not making customers aware of how the deposit is paid. I went online and made a reservation for a rental and paid for it in advance with a prepaid debit card with my name on it. I was aware of them having a 100 deposit that will be ran on a card but not charged. Me and my dad go to pick up the rental they see we have prepaid and goes to run the card for the 100 deposit. They tell us it can run on a prepaid debit card and has to be a credit card or debit card linked to a checking account. My question is this why can I pay for something ahead of time you take my money off the card but you cant run the deposit which I had 100 on there to run it? Of course I couldnt get the rental but I really wish on the website it would clarify that the deposit only can be ran with a credit or debit card thru a bank and not a prepaid card. You guys should really make that notice on your website before you take the money that we pay for something. NOT HAPPY AT ALL

Was billed twice for over $700 dollars called customer service they told me i would have to wait until friday for them to be able to access my rental agreement. so i called up the office at state and get sent directly to their automated system. needless to say avis does not care about the fact they billed you twice and caused overdraft charges. the guy at this location is helpful and friendly but overall i do not recommend avis

Staff was friendly. There arent a lot of choices on their lot but they tried to take care of us. Only problems were someone had been smoking in a smoke free car and when we got there, it was closed for about 20 minutes because they had run to get more cars.
