I havent used the same barber twice my entire adult life. I will not be going anywhere else after only 2 cuts here. The owner DA is personable, witty, lived a textured life, and is a joy to talk to. She also shows great care for the people that come through the shop, customer and employee a like. 10/10 one of my favorite KC businesses, cant wait to being my friends around.

Ive never had my beard trimmed but decided to go on a Wed. at 10am. I booked online with Gavin and the process was very easy. Gavin did an excellent job and Im very happy with the service. He took the time to ask me questions about what I wanted to and it was obvious he intended to make me look my best, which I appreciate. He was very attentive to proper hygine the entire time and I felt comfortable as a result. I would definitely recommend the establishment and Gavin. Ill be going back.

If you’re thinking about it, do it - I suggest booking with Thundercat Louis(e) on the website, or one of the other people here. I went in confused about what I wanted, and they were amazing. It’s all about the right questions and man was it perfect! Follow the advice and trust them because it works out, best hair I’ve ever had and walked out with way more confidence. If you’re nonbinary and no one’s ever quite gotten the hair right this is the place to be. I cannot recommend this place and Louise enough!

I booked an appointment with them this morning based upon their reviews. My barber was Gavin and I had scheduled for a beard trim and cleanup. I arrived and this place was rustic and had a nice architectural look about it. The set up inside was just as appealing with two levels. The upstairs had a shuffle board and a DJ booth in the corner. The staff was welcoming and friendly and professional. Gavin listened to what I wanted and executed my demands to a “T”. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a beard trim to a full custom cut. Thanks again Gavin and keep up the great work.

Have been bouncing around barbers for over a year since moving. Never left one wanting to go back. Tried this from a friend on Facebook. Went there and was blown away. Owner cut my hair ( fade) and trimmed beard and straight edged a nice line. I have never let anyone cut my beard since having one 8 plus years. My girl was impressed and got her approval and told me to go back. Fellas, if your lookin for a tight cut by someone who cares and need help with beard do yourself a favor and book an appointment.

Thunderbird Louise is an amazing barber and I recommend her 100%. She gave me an amazing line up and cut and I’ll come back any day of the week not only for a cut but because they treat customers like family and they had a great vibe. Love the place and community thank you so much.

I came in for a beard trim up and they took care of me. The location is great incredible views of the down town area. The stylist who did my beard and mustache knew what they were doing. expert work in a super relaxed professional environment. I will be back and I have recommended to many friends!. Fantastic place! I went as a walk-in and they worked me in (even missing part of their lunch). The atmosphere is very cool, the artists were personable yet professional, and the razor shave I received looked great (my first)! If you have ever wanted to try a professional straight razor shave, this is the place to go.

Brooke Taylor has been my barberette for a year or so now and always does an amazing job. She is at Whiskey Beard now and had me come check it out. The place is very clean and has some top shelf whiskey. They also have some very delightful smelling cigars. After my hair trimming she introduced me to the owner and other employees. I am kinda bashful but found everyone to be warm, open and extremely easy to talk to. I even played a little shuffleboard for the first time in my life. I cant wait to go back and highly recommend this place! I may even try to find some magic hair tonic somewhere to speed up the process.

Louis(e) aka THUNDERCAT! Absolutely killed It! I got my head clean razor shaved and it’s the smoothest it’s ever been. Super nice environment and loved the conversation and how welcomed they made me feel while I was there. After recommendations from the folks at Art of Shaving and a Christmas gift certificate from a friend, I finally gave Whiskey Beard a go. I was not at all disappointed. Donna was friendly, knowledgeable and an exceptional barber and I left looking like a million bucks for a very reasonable fee. Great place, well worth regular visits.
