He was rude & unwilling to assist in any way. Sat in his lobby for 20 minutes before he even acknowledged me & I explained the problem with my a/c & then he flat out said he didn’t want to work with me without any explanation.

These ppl have no problem taking your money but when it comes to customer service, and people skills they could learn a thing or two. Very poor communication, & dont make the mistake of taking your hard earn money somewhere its unwanted & your disrespected and hung up on when trying to ask for info about your own car. 2nd worse shop in kc ive supported and will no longer support. Goodluck !

This was my 1st time I took my car to Bert. As for women, a lot of shops try to scam us by selling us things we dont need. Bert was very honest and kind! I will recommend his shop to everyone I know especially the ladies!C.L.

Thanks for all who responded to my plea for a mechanic....I decided to use Berts Auto next to 7-11 because Jean Harris recommended him to me, & I know her from nextdoor.....I have this to say about Berts Auto, if you need auto repairs Berts is the place to go, I was treated kindly, fairly, & he did a great job and in a timely manner...he also called & told me what was wrong before fixing it...Berts very nice, easy to talk to, & knows his trade very well...He won us as customers, I highly recommend him....

His slogan is you get it right the first time, but he doesnt. We took our car to have a water pump put on even though his quote was much higher we needed it taken care of immediately. He fixed the water pump and it began leaking. Still under warranty he said it needed a gasket. He got it off and said it was just a bolt that needed to be tightened. It continued to leak we took it back in he said he needed a gasket which was still under warranty. Then he called and said it would be an additional $205. He called back in an hour and said now it will be an additional $350 so total $555 and it should have been under warranty. Even his batteries was $200...........when we went to pick it up he said it is no longer under warranty and threw the keys at my husband. Terrible service and insanely high pricing.

Bert has serviced the cars for our family and extended family foryears. I am a woman in my 70s and have had problems with other autoservice providers attempting to take advantage of my ignorance. I would not recommend this business to anyone first off it Is right next-door to were a seven-year-old got shot. Second you might want to go in there looking like a bum then you can probably get a better price if you look like you have money then he charges you what he wants to Charge third he doesnt know anything about business. Or how to keep customers because how he talks to the customer is extremely rude. Fourth he is the only freaking mechanic so how would you try something to be actually done right.
