Horrible experience from the very start, should have went somewhere else, the receptionist was not informative and did not seem to know what was going on. 2 days after I dropped off my truck and they finally answered their phone after multiple attempts. They lost the paperwork and nothing was done with my truck. I do not recommend this place at all.

Petes was recommended to me by another mechanic shop that couldnt fit me in. I am beyond grateful! Petes is my new go to mechanic shop. I was able to make an appointment for the same day for an oil change. The staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful. They got my car in immediately after I arrived. They were able to perform the oil change and a tire repair in about 40 mins. The customer service was above and beyond and the rates were very reasonable. I highly recommend!

Pete Auto is a honest and fair mechanic. If his shop can not help you, he will refer you to other mechanics in your area which he recommend. Being going to Petes for years

I had brought my car to another shop before bringing it to Petes and I am so glad I made the switch! The staff is so friendly and were patient enough to answer all of my questions. I dropped off the car with out an appointment and they were still able to get all the work done by the end of the next business day, and best of all they were HONEST!!! I will definitely be returning for any future work and I recommend you do too!!!

Pete’s is a place you can trust! I came here for a second opinion after another shop told me I needed new brake pads. First of all, Pete’s quote was close to $100 less than the other place. Second of all, after looking at my brakes, they told me that I didn’t even need new brake pads at all and I should just get them checked again in 8,000-10,000 miles. I am always wary that I will get taken advantage of by car shops because I don’t know that much about cars, so I am so grateful for the honest service at Pete’s. I won’t be taking my car anywhere else now!

Good honest mechanics at a reasonable price

My folks started going to Petes when he first went in business in the 70s. Recently I took Moms car in to have some repairs made. Pete had done all of the maintenance and repairs since it was new, 1990. Pete recommended we not spend the money on this old car. Pete could have kept this old clunker going and continued to make money on it but he is too honest. I highly recommend him.

I have been going to Petes for over 10 years. I find the shop honest, trustworthy and they do good work. They tell me when I have maintenance that is important to the longevity to my car and when some maintenance can wait. I value Petes as a consumer and wish there were more honest folks like him around.

This is one of the best places in KC to take your car. I have been going here for more than 25 years. They are honest folks doing honest business!And this place is NOT closed as it currently displays. It is very much open for business.

My husband and I have used Petes auto for over 2 years and are always so glad to do so! They are honest, they never try to trick or manipulate us into anything. Theyre fair and the price is always better (read lower) than expected. We had an old car on the verge of dieing and when we took it to them for repairs, he told us that he could charge us hundreds of dollars to fix the problem, but that it would still probably die and encouraged us not to make the repairs. The car did die within a week or so of the appointment and we were glad to have not put more money into it! I recomend Petes to everyone I know. Other mechanics weve worked with in the area have not been trustworthy and tried to make us spend our money doing things we didnt need to do. Such has never been the case with Petes Auto.

Top notch service! You will not find a more honest place to do business with. The last time they serviced my vehicle. They discovered an issue that literally saved me from having a catastrophic brake failure. It would have undoubtedly caused a horrific wreck if not a deadly one. Seeing as I commute over three hours daily. I had taken my car in for new tires an oil change and a strange noise coming from the left rear. Long story short. They discovered that the last time Id had my vehicle serviced at a different place. The people had put oil in the master cylinder instead of brake fluid. Driving is much as I do, and having been long overdue for an oil change this time around. The oil combined with the brake fluid had literally started a complete breakdown of the brake system on my vehicle to occur. The noise Id been hearing was coming from a caliper pin. They discovered the issue of the oil and brake fluid mixture while bleeding the brakes after changing the caliper. The system would not hold pressure because the oil/break fluid mixture was causing seals to deteriorate. My point is this, theyre honest, upfront good people. Their prices are more than fair. And they are by far the most dedicated and caring people Ive ever had the pleasure of doing business with.

Had a customer come in to check over a vehicle and they looked at the oil change sticker and said the car was overdue on the oil change and not to buy the car didnt even check the oil. would Petes Auto Service Think it never had a oil change if it didnt have a sticker at all ? place is a joke and need to hire new mechanics.

If i could give no stars i would all about the money not about ur car DO NOT bring your car here we took our car before they put bad part on car now they just told us something was broke when it wasnt took our car somewhere else and they said there is nothing wrong
