Krystina is the absolute best nail artist in this area. I’ve been to almost every place that does acrylics in the area and no one even comes close. The designs are always exactly what I was thinking, it’s like she can read my mind! I also have very sensitive hands and fingernails and she is very gentle and always makes sure I’m not in pain which is a very nice change from experiences at other salons. I’ve been seeing her for a few months now and I recommend her to everyone. If you want those amazing nails you are on insta this is where you want to go!!

Seriously the best pedicure Ive ever had! Kristina is a joy to chat with, and is incredibly precise and careful. Prices are very reasonable. Even the regular pedicure included a quite long and relaxing massage, including hot stones! Please note that since shes currently a one woman show - appointments are required, but she did everything in her power to fit me in last-minute on a Sunday afternoon. Much appreciated! Will absolutely be returning.

This is by far the best nail place in town. And nothing comes close. The best things are 1 the bus stop is really close so for college students really convenient. 2 Christina is really nice and really personable and accommodating. 3 I like that you can book appointments online. 4 I got so many compliments on my nails it was great.

Wow!! This was hands down the best nail appointment I’d ever had.I went to Krystina to get a full acrylic set for my wedding. She went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my nails and had a great experience.She constantly made sure I wasn’t in any pain or discomfort when she used a file or dremel, which is usually a big problem for me. She noticed that my nails curve upward (they grow like that instead of curving down), and took the extra time to place the tips in a way that made them look normal again!Each nail was even, smooth, and beautiful. They lasted 3 weeks without a scratch, and I’m hard on my hands. I only had to get them redone because they grew out!I can not recommend her enough. I’m from out of town but I so wish I lived in Kalamazoo so that I could go back regularly. She’s an amazing nail tech!

By far the most expensive and disappointing mani/pedis I’ve had. Asked for French tips and instead of using the white tips she painted on the tips saying it was better. They started streaking and color coming off in less than a week, One is broken completely after just a week. Toenails didn’t keep color on for more than 4 days and started chipping. Definitely not worth the $.

I’ve been going to Krystina to get my nails done for the past couple of months and I’ve always been extremely satisfied with her service.I found her salon while looking through Yelp reviews and I’m so happy that I decided to give her salon a try. She is the only nail technician which means that you will be getting great service every single time. She takes her time and you seldom feel rushed. She has many gel colors to choose from and also has holographic powders and gems for when you’re feeling a little extra! 💁🏽‍♀️This is not the cheapest salon to visit but you pay for what you get. You will not be disappointed!I have gotten regular acrylics and glow in the dark. I highly recommend you try the glow in the dark acrylic nails.

Such a fun environment. Small and a bit hot when the pedicures are going on but overall a comfortable clean place to get a quick pretty manicure done!

Krystina is amazing! After going to her, I will never go anywhere else again. She is so flexible with her schedule and is very customer focused. Everyone said it couldnt be done.Walked in to Lux Spa and was warm and welcoming.I walked uou grinning from ear to ear with HOLOGRAPHIC/ CHROME FRENCH TIPS!!I have to also say, her attention to detail is phenomenal! My nails are symmetrical and even, she made SURE I was happy and OMG I am over the moon! 🤩 worth the drive! Sparkly hands down 🥰

I Highly recommend Lux Spa & Wellnes! I especially recommend Kyrstina. She came to the hospital happily and on very short notice, to give my step daughter with cancer, a manicure. Aside from being incredibly kind, sweet and bubbly, she does good work.UPDATE: Unfortunately, after telling me for three weeks that shed be there today/tomorrow, etc. to remove the shellac Christmas polish from my Hospice bound daughters fingers, Krystina flaked on us. Very, very disappointed.

My experience not so good. My daughters appt was Friday Dec 13th at 7pm. When we arrived she was finishing her last customer. Which made her start my daughter after 8pm. She then seemed rushed due to phone calls she was receiving about a relative at the hospital. I understand she needed to be there but my daughter still deserved the same treatment as her other customers. When she finished a hour and 1/2 later. She told my daughter her nails would last a month but to come back in 3 weeks for a fill. On tuesday 5 days later I had to take her back because a nail came off. The next week 3 nails came off. My daughter bought nail glue to just repair them becauses the 2 times we went back the salon wasnt open. Then a couple of days ago another nail came off. When I called and spoke with her today she made me feel like a liar and said be glad I didnt have topay for the repair she did. I told her we could come up there. She said she would call the police...what? My opinion kristina and Lux Spa and not good or professional. And be careful telling your truth or she may threaten to call the police on you. I understand nails do not last. But this was alot in less then a 2 1/2 week spand. Good luck to those who go there.

I’ve been meaning to write a review on the Awesome service I’ve been receiving for the past 6 months with Krystina. Her place is always welcoming and she’s always ready to provide you with all kinds of beverages and if your hungry she’ll order Chinese takeout with you and have it delivered! She always has something entertaining on the television playing and her overall personality is Great & Humorous.When it comes to her work she’s the Best in town and that title comes with the fact that she’s going to do All that she can to make you Happy with your Mani/Pedi. Definitely check her out and I am sure anyone that she employs is Quality as well.

Went for pedicures with my 77 yr old Mom. Krystina really took her time and did an excellent job. She was very professional, sweet and funny. My mom had a few issues with her feet, which Krystina handled with tenderness and care. The spa itself was very clean, aesthetically pleasing, and comfortable. Although it’s 30+ miles from home, I’ll be back...It was soooo AWWSOME!!!!

Posting for this for one of my best friends, in her words:Ive been seeing Krystina for the last six months. My first time visiting her was when my best friend was in town. I found Krystina via Yelp and contacted her on a Thursday. She scheduled us for a mani-pedi on Saturday at 5pm. On Saturday, we entered the salon only to be told by Krystina that she had no recollection of booking our appointment, but she offered to fit us in after everyone else. Only once the place had emptied out did she finally apologize, saying she remembered that she had spoken with us.I scheduled another mani-pedi with Krystina prior to going on vacation, and made sure to emphasize that I wanted the EXPRESS pedicure--$10 cheaper than the SPA pedicure. When it was time to pay, Krystina remembered that I had asked for an EXPRESS pedicure, but said she had forgotten and instead gave me a SPA pedicure. Instead of taking ownership of her mistake, I was charged for the SPA pedicure and ended up paying $120 for that visit, including a 20% tip. I felt, as a customer, taken advantage of. Worse, I had shown her an image of what I wanted for the pedicure, and although she initially claimed she could do it, it wasnt until after she had started that she admitted she didnt have the materials and could only do something kind of similar. If she had told me this up front, I could have figured out something else instead.Three days later, that shellac manicure began to PEEL. By that evening, not wanting to go around with one nail bare, I was able to peel off the polish off EVERY single nail EASILY. I texted Krystina right away, and she offered to fix it for me the next day. I explained that I was on vacation across the country and wouldnt able to make that. Her response? Ok. Sorry When I did see her weeks later, at first she just gave me excuses as to why the incident happened, such as maybe a certain brand doesnt work with my nails. Eventually, she did give me 50% off my manicure, but only after I complained how disappointing it was to spend that kind of money on a manicure only to have it fall apart after a few days when its supposed to last for weeks.A few months later, I got a fill for a full set. One week into my fill, while on another vacation, one of the nails came loose as I was putting on make-up. I used nail glue to keep in place until a camping trip a week and a half later when I just took it off when it came loose again. When I told this to Krystina at my next appointment, she just brushed it off with no apology. Again, this should not be happening A WEEK into getting a fill.When Krystina started handling her bookings through the Booksy app, I booked a visit for a fill shellac ($35) and polish change feet shellac ($20) and then a matte top coat for my manicure ($5), with the grand total being $60 according to the app. However, when all was said and done, Krystina said my total came to $70 before tip. According to the receipt, the polish change was $25, the fill was $40, and the topcoat was $5. So, if you are booking through the app, her prices ARE NOT accurate.Additionally, Krystina has a reward program where you get a stamp for every $25 spent. 10 stamps gets you $15 off your bill. The last and final time I redeemed my $15 off, I still ended up spending $55 on my appointment before the tip. I asked for another card with two stamps on it and Krystina said, No, it doesnt really benefit me... next time! Every time Ive redeemed my stamps in the past, there has never been an issue in giving me new stamps for services I still paid for after the discount.I really, really hate writing reviews--especially bad ones--but I cannot ignore the experiences Ive had at Lux Spa and Wellness over the last six months and I feel that others deserve to know. Because, to sum it up, I felt more like a wallet than a valued customer.EDIT, response to owner: None of what you included in the middle applies to my friend, or her experiences described here. Thats just a bunch of self-serving excuses. Saying you cant please everyone is a cop-out.
