Gary and Kim are amazing. I went here because my coworkers recommended them and Im glad I did. I just moved to the area and needed a new nail shop to go to. The establishment was clean and cute. Booking an appointment was easy and they were on time. I did not have to wait at all for my service to begin. It was very relaxing and Gary and Kim are funny and definitely make you feel comfortable. I love my nails and definitely plan to be a regular here.

This is my third time coming to Luminous Nails. And the first 4 times I had a wonderful experience. Id never had their pedicures, but I knew my sister wanted one, so I recommended her to there. I also my self went and got some Acrylics (which they insist is gel, but its obviously monomer and powder).So to start off, the place itself was super packed, even though I had originally made an appointment. Im used to waiting a little time, as I know staff is kind of tight. Right as me and my sister walked in the door. We were shouted at, by the owner (Don?) Which was more than rude. But I understood that he was busy, so decided to ignore it. My sister got her pedicure started right away. And then I personally waited a bit more. He was constantly bombarded by phone calls, and he took each one, and proceeded to have conversations with other customers hes known longer. Which once again was fine.When it came time for him to put the acrylic on, he did it quick and with ease. And just a bit too quickly, that the acrylic is where he did a sloppy job with the gel. There are also bubbles in the gel nails because none of the people that work there. I had to go home a reshape some nails, and file out my nail bed more. Like seriously? Just do better. Its not hard to say no to extra business, especially if it is rushing you to do poorly on your customers.Now for my sisters toes, she liked what they did, the only issue is, the second day, the topcoat on the polish is rolling off? Not sure what the hell is even wrong with that???Also, acrylic is acrylic even if its gel acrylic. They need to let people know they do NOT offer dip gel, or builder gel. Or gel in a pot. It.is.acrylic.

They are the sweetest people! So funny and professional. I had Gary and Kim work on my nails. They are absolutely worth trying and not only will you fall in love with their work, but they’re heart is so genuine and pure! Highly recommend !!! I’ll definitely be back :)

We came in our appointment was on time. The owners were delightful. They had their daughter in the shop and it was very nice to watch them interact with each other. My nails and toes were done beautifully. I wish I could give this place 6 stars thats just how amazing they are!!

The owners, Gary and Kim, run a great salon. All the technicians provide high quality service, paying attention to the details. My favorite is the sea salt pedicure done by Wee. He does a wonderful foot and lower leg massage.

I love coming into Luminous nails! The owners Gary and Kim are so sweet, kind and they remember your name and things about you. It is such a cute family run business and they do great work. I have never had acrylic nails last as long as they do when Gary does them! Highly recommend!

I finally found somewhere that can do a set of nails perfectly! They are not chunky and the shape is absolutely perfect. Always kind and my nails end up lasting 3 weeks. It took me years to find a place I know that will do a good job consistently. So grateful to have found them!

They have to be using MMA. I have racked **my brain and every cosmetology resource I have (Im a licensed cosmetologist) and cannot come up with any other reason for this. I got acrylics about a month ago here, i tried filing and soaking for 30 mins at a time and could not get through the product. As the product lifts and cracks off my nails it reveals soft and flaky nail underneath.The product was not properly adhered to the nail and i got greenies under one of my fingers. I take great care to keep my nails healthy and they are now irritated, weak, and destroyed.Please do yourself a favor and look up the difference between methyl methacrylate (MMA) and ethyl methacrylate (EMA) acrylics; MMA is much cheaper but dangerous to use on nails. It can cause chemical burns on the skin and can cause permanent damage to your nail matrix. Its been illegal to use since the 70s because of the hazards!The attached pics show what my nails look like after the product cracked off. I cannot get the rest of it off so Ive been waiting for it to grow but it is literally eating my nails off.

This place is absolutely amazing one of the best places Ive gone to so far its its very local for me and they are really nice and kind and they try their absolute best in spend their time making each and every nail look perfect Ive never had a bad experience here and I hope to never have one these are the nails that I just got done and they were kind enough to not only fix any mistakes that I made or they made but I was a little short on cash and they didnt take my American Express card so he literally just told me that I could pay it back the next time I came which is really cool of him and theyre all very nice.

Owners work there. They take the necessary precautions for everyones safety. I cannot say enough positive things about the quality of their work. My entire family uses them.

The best nail salon I have been to in Michigan. The staff is amazing at making sure their customers are provided the best service and have a relaxing experience. If you ever have any issue they a quick to resolve the problem. I would never go anywhere else.Note: I have only ever received the top pedicure package as well as shellac manicures.

Love Luminous Nails.. been here a few times and theyve done a great job. They were all very friendly & welcoming. And the price is great for such quality work. Only thing I dont like is you cant leave a tip on the card so you need to bring cash, but thats not on the employees 🤷‍♀️

Had my 1st pedicure here yesterday, walked in on a whim and was able to get right in! Absolutely great service and a wonderful pedicure. I got the sea salt scrub pedicure and my feet and legs are soft and smooth. Great selection of polish, I had a hard time picking a color. The staff is super friendly and great at what they do. Prices are very reasonable, I will be going back regularly!

We came in and he said they don’t do walk-ins and we can only get service if we have an appointment. the place was empty... i looked up the website and it said they do walk-ins... seems a little weird. he even looked like he was lying.

First time ever visiting this nail salon - they were the closest salon open on a Sunday near me. Extremely wonderful experience! The staff was friendly, courteous, professional and kind. All my concerns and questions about my manicure were discussed with me prior to any service starting. I am very happy with my service, how my nails look, the experience, cleanliness of the salon and wonderful Christmas music! I will definitely be back again! If you live in the area this nail salon is a must visit.

A very nice and clean salon with a really professional look to it. The chairs were all new and modern and had a great massage selection. My nail technician was very polite and took great care and detail with my pedicure. The prices are reasonable and had a huge selection of nail Polish. It was a nice day and the door was open so the salon didnt have that heavy chemical smell to it. I would definitely go here again and recommend it.

Had the best pedicure that I have ever had here. I got the one with paraffin wrap, hot stone massage, and moisturizing mask and it was amazing. They took their time and the massage was amazing. I also had a Shellac manicure and my daughter had a fill with coffin shaped nails and her nails look great. Staff is very friendly and everything was clean. Highly recommend!

I have been to SO many nail salons in my life and multiple here in the kalamazoo/Portage area. This is honestly the BEST pedicure I have ever gotten. Hands down. Not to mention the salon was very, very clean, and the receptionist and nail technicians were SO nice, Kim and Mike both worked on me. Their attention to detail is unmatched! The complementary bottle of water was great and the massage chair was amazing, the controls are built into the arm which was convenient - so comfortable! Will recommend Luminous Nails again and again!

I decided to come to Luminous Nails after seeing all the other positive reviews and I was not disappointed! The nail salon itself was very quaint and simple, they also had lots of color selections and intricate design options which I loved! They are very friendly and take pride in the work they do. I don’t have to wait long and I am always happy with my nails. They definitely have a long time customer.

After a long time, found a place where I can go for all my beauty needs! The lady who did my nails was really gentle and she answered all of the requests i had. The prices are completely worth it. They have so much talent and that is why I keep going back to them.

I followed my favorite tech to this salon and Ive been really happy.The environment is so relaxed and fun. They never seem rushed the way nail salons can, yet they always run on time. Lots of time to talk and laugh.My shellac has lasted much longer than it ever has before. Im usually pealing them a few days before I hit 2 weeks. Since Ive started at this salon I actually forget that Im due to come in.Their products are always in good condition and the facility is very clean.
