We held a visitation the evening of the heaviest snow this winter. It was both respectable and dignified given such short notice and the weather event outside. My Father recently passed away unexpectedly and I have to say thank you to dan, he made us feel as if we were not even at a funeral home, he treated us very kindly and walked through each step with us and double checked with us on things and did not force any extras on us to buy from his buisness. He told us right away im not a salesman. The building itself had a comfortable feel and didnt make you feel like you were in a funeral home. Thank you Dan for all you did for my father and us.

Joldersma and Klein staff expertly and compassionately guided us through the steps to prepare for the memorial service and gravesite service for my father. Then at the last minute they kindly made provisions for a private family visitation that we had not planned on initially. Brad was so easy to talk to and work with. He even took time at the gravesite to gently respond to several curious children who were struggling to understand the process. The gravesite and memorial services functioned very smoothly thanks to Joldersma and Klein. We couldn’t be more pleased and grateful to them!

If youre looking for funeral homes, you probably need one very quickly. This review is more for those who are considering a pre-paid arrangement. I cannot recommend this approach highly enough. Even if its a financial burden on you now to pay for your cremation/funeral/etc. in advance, the benefit of your survivors not having to worry about these expenses on top of dealing with losing you is immeasurable. Joldersma & Klein were professional, considerate, and very easy to deal with as one of the survivors.

Ive been to more than enough funerals in Kalamazoo and I have never seen funeral home staff exhibit more genuine compassion and kindness than Joldersma & Klein. They treated us as though they were mourning a member of their own family.
