Parts counter inside...but cant place an order for parts inside... have to call a separate number and they wouldnt do it for me even though I had the exact part number in hand...if I have to do that and drive back to pick up parts a week or more later... forget it. Ill sit at home, in my underwear, order it and have it delivered to my door. Too many places dont even attempt to build a relationship with customers these days... I already have to be cashier and bagger at the grocery store. If they wont help me, I wont fund them. Simple.

Good prices and found just what I was looking for, for a lot less than what I expected to pay. Will be going back soon to get another appliance. Almost forgot to mention, I got almost 20% off the purchase price.

This place brought us three stoves before they brought us one that worked. The second one filled the house with gas and when I complained the guy on the phone said “I don’t feel like arguing with you” and hung up.Shotty work, shotty products and rude as can be. Dishonest business people, I called for a quote for fridge parts, when it was time to pay the gave me a higher price and when I told them what I was quoted on the phone, they wouldnt budge, so I left their old nasty dirty parts there because I can get them brand new on Amazon for what these crooked grease balls wanted for old parts. I wouldnt recommend this dirty hole in the wall price gouging snake pit to my worst enemy.

Have bought washers from Teds for over a decade. They really didnt last that well, but price, Teds warranty, and the common rumor that new washers werent built to last either kept us coming back. No more. Paid almost as much as new last June and have continuous problems with their products this year. Washer would not drain completely and stank like raw sewage. They replaced it. The exchanged washer did not spin fast enough and left clothing soaked and full of white gunk. Repair guy adjusted hoses, cleaned out softener dispenser, and left. Jeans and sweatshirts were still soaked, but resigned to running the spin cycle over and over. White gunk got worse on clothing. Repair guy came out again, removed and washed out agitator, reinstalled and left. White gunk remains on clothing and especially as large spotches on darks. We always use clear, unscented detergent and stopped using softener altogether. More ruined clothes. Teds response was to recommend running white vinegar in the washer. Im done with Teds, and will buy new with an extended warranty. I strongly suggest that you do the same.

I didnt find the prices to be competitive. I was looking for refrigerators potentially a gas stove to match, but half of the ice makers didnt work and if they did work the water didnt work, but prices werent reflecting the fact that the product wasnt fully functional.Despite that the staff was very helpful and very attentive.

Teds treated us great. Needed a second freezer for our garage, found a one, but it went out within the year. They brought me a temporary replacement and I live an hour away! Called the next week to let me know the original was kaput, so they were replacing with a similar size. We will definitely go to Teds again.

Terrible, condescending technicians and the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Every interaction with a tech they have been rude and do not explain what they are doing. Then try to bill you for service six months later when nothing was done, and threaten to send you to collections if you don’t pay. Literally go ANYWHERE else in Kalamazoo and you’ll get better service.

We had an appointment scheduled 9 days ago. We got a call 1/2 hour before our service window that the repairman wouldnt make it, which happens. No big deal. He came the next day and said a part would be in on Monday or Tuesday at the latest and he would be back then to fix it. No one showed or called. My husband called Tuesday before closing and was told the repairman would be there Wednesday. I called Wednesday before closing and was told we werent on the list, but we would be for sure on Thursday. No one showed on Thursday and no one called to reschedule, apologize, etc. Needless to say, we have given up and scheduled the repair with someone else.

Bought my washer/dryer today from Teds today and the service was great. I told them what I was looking for and they showed me what was in stock. also comes with an 18 month service/parts guarantee. It is NOT like new pricing as another reviewer claims. A new washer/ dryer installed is closer to $2000, so my $500 all in was well worth it. I had a great experience and would recommend them to someone looking for a used appliance.

Honestly I would rate them lower than a 1 Star. Currently we are dealing with them a 3rd time only because we are renters and the property owners use them. Awful experience every time. 1st run in was with the washing machine, technician came out and said there was something definitely wrong with it so they took it back to their warehouse and gave us a temporary replacement. Then got the call they were returning machine back to us because there was nothing wrong with it when it showed up to the warehouse even though their own technician said it was messed up. Still to this day it sounds like a rocket ship. 2nd issue was the dryer, the drum was still rolling just no heat. Property maintenance checked and couldn’t fix it. AFTER 2 NO SHOWS. a Ted’s Technician finally came out and said there was no issue. Felt warm for a short amount of time, checked the Frequencies and temperatures. He said those we are lower than normal but he found no issue. I told him that if he waited a little longer the heat would stop. Of course it did. Ran for 50 more mins and it was ice cold still. Our maintenance man called Ted’s appliance back and just requested for an electric dryer. Two weeks later which was yesterday drum stopped rolling. Today technician window was 9-12 and big shocker they are still NOT HERE. Awful customer service. So rude in the office when on the phone, lied in multiple situations. SO FRUSTRATING. Never will I recommend Teds to anyone.

I just called Teds and asked for service technician to come and look at my fridge. The receptionist asked what kind it was, I said Samsung and she quickly told me they dont work on Samsung refrigerators and hung up. Now Im fine with them not working on them, but her demeanor and abruptness was off putting and I wont be calling them for repairs again. In a word, I thought she was rude. Perhaps there is a better place for their receptionist in the company than answering phones and talking to customers.

Got a relatively cheap washer and dryer, salesman was patient but quick when he knew he had the sale. Helped us load and sells sets for a discount. Awesome, used before, will use again.

After talking to one of their guys and explaining what was happening, they tested my part which turned out to be good and sold me the correct part I actually needed. Bought a used dishwasher from teds. Was told a price and then the next associate said it must be a mistake, that being a stainless steel it must be a higher price. The employee talked with the manager who came and told me a mistake was made but they would sell it to me for the price i was told in the beginning.To those who say they will cheat you, this showed me complete honesty and integrity. That was only my experience.

My dishwasher went down, thought it was clogged, called this company, they sent a fellow out, he said the entire diswasher was fried/zapped, computer system gone, probably electrical surge, wanted almost $600 to fix it. I called another company in the area, they sent a guy over, under $100 to clean the clog, and running perfectly now! Glad I did not blow over $500 on Teds Appliance!

I bought a washer here that I desperately needed got it home and installed and one of the valves to put cold water into the tub doesnt work. You would think if their going to say I that it was refurbished they would test it before selling it. I am very mad. Now I have to wait until they can we fix it like it was supposed to be done in the first place. Very dissatisfied!!!!

Warranty or not.Per Teds Appliance request for an updated review, they did replace the leaking washer with a new one that appears to have no problems. They do have warranties on their items. But I seriously recommend that extensive Quality Assurance is done on product to ensure that there arent any problems worth writing a negative review. But they did stand by their warranty and that is worth a positive review.

I am disappointed in myself for even doing business with this company...I want to say that as far as reconditioned appliances go that is definitely a lie...I am positive that the appliances are not even checked out before put on the sales floor or else I would have a working dryer right now...Then the bs you get from salesmen and all the ways they try to keep your money and dont care about any inconvenience they causewhen the appliance doesnt work upon hook up and the fact that they pick out a swap for you...hahaha no Thank you...Please be wise people and ask what was wrong with appliance and ask for work order showing issues fixed and make sure paperwork is legit.I can not believe a business is run so crooked and the people that can knowingly sell others broken products and not blink an eye or show guilt makes me sick...Remember what comes around goes around Teds Appliances.

Fair warning, its $80 for them to take a look at your appliance... Pretty pricey just to tell us if its broken or fixable. In our case: broken.I guess its $50 to come out, $30 for labor..

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Technician was over 2 hours late and didnt call to inform me of the delay until he was already over an hour late. Technician offered me no diagnosis for the problem I had with my washing machine. All he offered me was a suggestion that I buy a $375 part from him that, might fix the problem. However, Teds personnel in-store wouldnt stand behind his diagnosis and offered me ZERO guarantee that this part would fix my washing machine (I would potentially be out the extra $375 and still not have a working washing machine). Technician said they might have a used part at the store that would work, but even after I visited the store on THREE separate occasions, I never heard back one way or another whether or not they had this part. They seemed to have forgotten (or not cared) about looking into this situation for me.So after paying Teds $80 and wasting 4 hours of vacation from work (for the appointment that was 2 hours late) I still have ZERO resolution one way or another to my situation. I even provided the error codes from the diagnostic mode of my machine to see if they could pinpoint the problem but was told that they didnt have any record in their manuals of my model number of washing machine ever existing. Even though 10 seconds of Google investigating can prove that to be incorrect. No one at Teds was willing to put in any amount of effort or follow up to my situation whatsoever.I also think its worth noting that the technician as well as sales personnel I spoke to in-store seemed VERY interested in offering me trade-in value for my (almost brand new) washing machine. I imagine in an attempt to fix my washer themselves and turn it for a nice profit.Bottom line, Teds Appliance doesnt appear to care about basic customer service. If you have a broken appliance that needs repair, you better just hope that its a quick and simple fix. Because if your repair requires ANY amount of critical thinking whatsoever, youre much better off going elsewhere.

I was looking for another rack for my oven since the one I had had melted plastic all over it. Ted s has many replacement parts for appliances, but they didnt have what I needed. Instead, they told me how I could clean up mine. I followed their directions and it cleaned up beautifully.

Had to replace my washer they gave me a good deal on a used one and picked up the old one hooked up the new one really appreciate that

Mike is our hero! He was able to do what three techs before him could not and he did it with such grace and cheerfulness. His yoga practice gave him truly superhero powers as he bounded over our washer and dryer to connect them in a tiny spot. From now on Teds will be our FIRST call.

What happened to this place? It was always ghetto and trashy, but at least the prices reflected that. Now, every single thing they have is marked more than what you can get it for brand new. Its all filthy, and will be sold to you by a rude associate who reeks like a rotten ash tray, but they charge like youre walking into a fancy showroom. What a joke... Got a dryer from them this past summer. Worked fine for 6 months and when i had a problem they came out and fix it under there warranty. Will be going back for a matching washer soon.

Dont bother. Rental company uses Teds appliance and the washer and dryer they delivered to replace the defective one was filthy. Called and spoke to the receptionist who did not believe me that it was delivered dirty. She stated well you picked it out off the floor. I did not, nor did the rental company, they stated to deliver as close to the model that we previously had. They delivered a filthy washer and dryer and then proceeded to laugh when I asked if they could send someone out to clean it. Technicians seem like nice guys but they leave a mess every time they come over and dont bother attempting to clean it up. Saturday receptionist has no clue of proper business etiquette and laughed at me when I asked if they could send someone to clean it. She is the epitome of someone with zero manners or respect for the customer. If it was my business she would be happily let go.Look at all the other comments, obviously something is wrong with their business model. They are in the service industry, yet lack the decency to provide adequate service.Side note - Michelle and the manager (Chris maybe?) were friendly throughout the process, which gave me hope, but in the end we did not resolve the issue.

I bought a fridge and have had issues with it. No one will take care of the problems. I called and they came and looked at it and just told us to adjust the temps that hasn’t fixed the problem. The glass doesn’t fit inside the fridge they told me to bring it down and hope they have the correct ones, why would I waste my time if they don’t know this. Now my freezer won’t shut, I have called and had no answer, it was after 6 so there was no voicemail, so I left an email like is says you can and not response, so I left a message and no response, I will be calling again but I’ve highly disappointed with the service and the fridge, it also had cracks in the drawers that you ant see until you get way into them, just not worth what i paid and would be nice to get the issues fix since apparently I have a warranty

I dont know what happened to Teds Appliance it used to be a lot better. I went in looking for a mini fridge for my office. They had one mini fridge they wanted $90 for it and it had stickers all over it from a tattoo parlor. I bought one off of eBay for $88 with free shipping and its brand new with no stickers on it.

I called and described the problem with our washing machine. They told me they could come out and fit it, or I could come in and they would tell me how to fix it myself. I wantd to save a few bucks, so I came in, explained what was going on. They told me what was wrong and how to fix it, then they said if I brought the agitator in, they would install the parts for me. Took them like 4 minutes! Back in business! Oh yeah, charge for EVERYTHING, $11. Love that kind of service, friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Price for clean clothes - $11, good local business - priceless

We thought we were being smart by buying used. The fridge we purchased broke 3 times and although we got loaners that looked ancient I had to move everything out and in every time. Then we I called to let them know the loaner was leaking they told me that the one I purchased was unrepairable and that the loaner was a better fridge. It would have been great for them to let me know that the one I picked out could not be fixed. Then they tried to get me to keep the leaking one. Which also had a laundry list of repairs made to it on the backside. They even went as far to tell me that we dented it and could not give me my money back. All in all HORRIBLE experience. We did get our money back but they sure made me work for it. I hope someone learns from our mistake.

My apartment complex uses Teds to replace things. I got a dryer today, and had I been home, I wouldve refused it. It is dirty, has ink stains throughout, sticky clumps, pet hair. I started wiping it out but I cant even put my clothes in to see if it actually works. I dont want to ruin my stuff! Seems like good customer service would be selling clean items without gunk in it. Im only giving 2 stars because the washer I got from them a couple of months ago is fine...but the fabric softener cup leaks and runs down after the cycle has completed, so Im just not using it anymore. Will be working with the complex to get this dryer replaced with a clean, dirt/sand/pet hair-free dryer.

The owner of this company is so rude it is ridiculous. We had called and spoke with somebody about returning a freezer we bought from them and set up an appointment to have it picked up. We would be out the $50 dollar delivery fee that we had paid, which was fine I understand that stuff happens. So the day comes around when they are supposed to come pick it up and nobody shows up. I call and speak with somebody who says he is the owner. I asked why they had not come and picked up the freezer like they had arranged with us. He said because it is after the 3 day return period and he is not required to refund us. I said well what about the fact that we have had problems with it and you have been out already to try and fix it. He promptly told me that it was a problem with my outlet and that I had spoken to his father, the former owner of Teds Appliance and he was not required to honor that arrangement. So I said you are not going to honor your own fathers arrangements? He then told me that he will give me HALF of what I paid for the freezer because he is in the business to make money not pay money, and if I wanted to I could sell it on craigslist and transfer the warranty. I got fed up with his crap so I hung up. Just figured I would share my experience.Now granted I understand I am about a week after the return time frame and I would not be upset about not being able to return it if he was not so damn rude about it.edit - Come to find out the guy that came out to fix our freezer was the guy on the phone. Turns out proper hygiene and a belt or suspenders are not part of this guys priority list.

Thought they messed with furnaces, but we were wrong. The man that greeted and helped us was very nice and he directed us to a nearby local business that specializes in heating and cooling.

Found a nice old washer/dryer and had them delivered and installed. Had a brief discussion in the store with an employee in which he advised me that one should never use plastic dryer vents -- theyre a fire hazard. So what do they install when they come out? A highly flammable plastic dryer vent tube! Cant believe anyone still uses these, much less a commercial operation.

I called had a pickup of an old appliance, it was going to be outside when they were coming to get it...change of plans however I was going to be home so I called them to let them know. I was told no problem we will call before we come that was at 8:30am. By 4pm no pick up..I called back to ask them if they were coming. I was told in a very rude manor that they were busy with deliveries and pickups are put on the back burner...then got really rude and started telling me I should of been told that when I called to have the pick up made. Well that didnt happen whomever I talkrs to the first time I called sounded half dead on the phone could barley understand what she was saying...never said a word about the pick up policy and the guy on the phone was being rude to me..chek your useless employees! Never have done business with this junkyard now I know exactly why!

I don’t know what happened to Ted’s, but as you can see from other reviews, it is going down the drain. I had a HORRIBLE experience with them. I purchased a dishwasher, paid $135 for delivery and install, and the technicians broke things in my home and the brick work on my front porch, they were rude to me, and dumped disgusting water all over my kitchen, walked through it, and walked all over my house with it on their shoes. Then, she woman on the phone was rude to me and HUNG UP ON ME TWICE. The manager was rude when I called the next day and acted like I was crazy for saying my stuff was BROKEN and the dishwasher LEAKS!!! I will never ever use Ted’s again and I’m sad it has taken such a drastic turn for the worst. Get it together.

Bought a fridge and a stove from them. Had issues with igniters on stove and they brought a loaner so they can fix it. They did but somehow broke a gas line and had to fix that too. The fridge had some issues as well, but they fixed that as well, even though it took a month, it works like new. At first we were pissed and frustrated with the purchases but, they stuck to their word and honored our warranty. Have to give them credit for that. Maybe, to save money and time and driving customers infuriated, they should THOROUGHLY check everything on their equipment BEFORE they put them on the sales floor. Thats just my opinion. Overall experience was slowly gratifying. They had it right in the end.

Only reason it has 2 instead of one is the floor help. I called, someone who could not talk clearly answered. I asked on a stove they transferred me. The next person said they had tons of that stove in and they had white and almond. Got there and did not have the size I asked about. They had two smaller ones. No apologies from the person who answered she just glared at me while the sales person helped me.

In the past, they have been great, bought a dryer, stove, and used for repairs; but last year, we purchased a washer from them and it broke pretty quickly. So they had to take it back to the store to repair it. I admit, I waited a month before I called about it coming back to me, but they said they couldnt find it! The next weekend, I drove over with my two kids in tow, and demanded to speak to a manager. I got the owner. He sat in the dirty, unorganized back room and flat out told me they didnt know where my washer was. I asked what he was going to do about it- he said I could keep the smaller, crappier replacement theyd loaned to me while they fixed my other one. I then proceeded to tell him that wherever I go, I will tell everyone about how terrible they are. He laughed and said Have a good day, honey. Crooks have treated me better!
