1st time getting my hair cut here and it was great. Got my trim from Ray, did a solid job and exactly what I was looking for. Good vibe to this place too, wont go anywhere else

My first-time impression: Easy to book, easy to find, and a great fade.The barber I scheduled was Ray. He took the time needed to do my hair right and we had a good conversation. My wife usually cuts my hair, but when she can’t I’ll be back!

I go to Dawn or Amanda. Both are great, and the booking tool is easy to use.

Do not let them anywhere near your hairline, do not ask for a line up! The line up was so bad, I am convinced the dude messed up and tried to hide it. The overall line up is horrific; the top, not straight; the corners, improper angles; the sides too thin. The fade itself was mediocre. The overall hair shape was not as directed and uneven.This barber should offer a package deal: haircut plus a hat to hide the cut.All jokes aside, this was a very bad hair cut

O Carneys gets the job done right with great staff.

Excellent, absolutely love going here. Not sure about anyone else but I like consistency with a hair cut so typically like going back to the same place, and the crew at OCarneys is awesome! Also, goo value for your money, prices are reasonable and they have all the tools, and use them. I dont often write reviews but this one was well worth writing a review for.

Bad experience and will never attempt to use their service again. I scheduled a haircut back when barber shops were just starting to open post-covid. When I arrived to my appointment ON TIME, I was told it would be a 20 minute wait and to wait in the parking lot. After over 20 minutes, I received a call that I missed b/c was grabbing lunch. I return the call to find out they couldnt take me for my appointment! Then the barber says hell call me back to reschedule and never did! TOTAL waste of time! Btw, I went to a barbershop in Kihei, walk-in mind you, and waited less than 20 minutes for a nice cut.

*UPDATE 12/4/20*Ryan Carney the owner reached out to me on 12/3 and apologized for the missed appointment/circumstances and offered to make up the appointment for me by coming in a little early. He was very apologetic and stand up, good signs of a good business owner. The haircut was phenomenal, RYAN has a lot of experience in the fade department and gave me a great consultation before the cut began. Very sanitary shop, great vibe, and loved the experience inside the shop. When I’m back I’ll definitely hit up o’carneys again. Thanks again RYAN for willing to make up the appointment and being a stand up owner.old review**Booked an appointment the day before at O’Carney’s with Ray at 8am on 12/2. Had my appointment confirmed via booksy, online operating hours showed O’Carney’s being open at 8am. I showed up right on the dot at 8am, door was locked and I sat out front on the bench for a few minutes. I tried calling the business after no one arrived, I could hear the phone ringing inside with no answer. I left a voicemail letting them know I was here and ready for my appointment. Waited until 8:45am, left another voicemail, thinking maybe someone would show up, but no one did. I left after waiting an hour outside.I still haven’t had my voicemails/calls returned even to explain what happened yesterday.I understand people running a little late especially with island time, I’m a fairly gracious person and run late myself sometimes. However when O’Carney’s has what seems like a strict cancellation/no show policy for it’s customers because they say their businesses time is “valuable”, it doesn’t lend confidence to potential customers that they’re time might be wasted, like mine was yesterday.Future potential customers, beware!**

This place is by far the best barber shop on island. Every barber I’ve been to has given me a great cut. The booksy app is awesome and easy to use to make reservations ahead of time. If you get the chance try and get Amanda. She is the best!

I tried to do my rounds trying all of the barbers there. All are good and some are great, haircuts are like art, differently subjective and relative.They have a reservation system usually a month out or you can just call periodically to see if there is an opening. (That is what I do)Haircuts are expensive but that is the going rate for Maui unfortunately. With tip your looking at a $30 cut. I like to look good so I pay it with a smile.

I’ve been coming to this barbershop for almost 10 years now. I’ve seen barbers come and go at this shop, but the one thing that sticks with this place is the love, time, and effort put into every single haircut. First time going to O’carneys and I do not regret going in. I automatically felt the hospitality and kindness. It was a great experience and Jareth gave me a great cut. I had compliments left and right. He gave me a new style and I am very impressed. I will be going here for now on.

Good haircuts, but dont go without an appointment. We were second on the list and it took two hours to get a cut. We signed up, but several walked in and jumped the chairs. Again, I assume they had appointments, but then why take walk ins and not tell them you will wait a ridiculous amount of time? Not hard guys, tell walk-ins it will be a couple of hours and let them walk away. Disappointing to say the least.

The best fade Ive had. Ryan is freaking good with hair. Takes me from schmuck to rock god legend. I have wavy unmanageable hair and he cuts it perfectly every time. I highly recommend it.

Heard this was the best barbershop in town so I went and got a hair cut and it. It was the worst haircut I could’ve got one better at Supercuts. It’s also very over priced. I spent 50$ on a haircut that wasn’t what I had asked for. I am so dissapointed and I will never go back there I now know not to go there and to just get a haircut at Supercuts. Worst barbershop I’ve ever been to. I would rate them a zero if I could.

I only go to OCarneys. Ryan has been my Barber for roughly 5 years. He and his staff are simply the best on Maui hands down. Go to Booksy to reserve your spot with any of his staff.

No children under 10. Colin is in Kahului Tue, Wed, Thur, and Sat. Hes in Lahaina on Fridays. Perfect cut every time.
